SUMMARYs
These surveys seem to have met their limited object
ives, namely delineating targets for intensive pros
pecting. The magnetics may confirm the presence of
a diabase dike outlined by K.D. Card OGS Rep.166
in 1978, as the general strike of the magnetic anom
alies corresponds. However, magnetic discontinuities
suggest roughly North-South faults with interpreted
displacements ranging from 150 to 500 feet. Some of
these estimates tend to be reinforced by apparent
offsets of a number of "SP signature profiles". The
range of magnetic values on the survey area is from
a low of 450 gammas to two highs of 1900 g., four
of 1800 g.and a number in the 1300-1650 range.
This range closely matches that developed by A,
James Walker, P.Eng. (July 1981) on a four-claim
survey on the north border of Murray Lake, 3,000 ft.
West of this survey area. Anomalies he identified as
being associated with the same dike (diabase) match
this survey, ranging from 471 g. to 1885 g. All our
magnetic work East of Walker's L.40E. has been integ
rated by adjusting the Sharpe MF-1 to 575 g* at a
datum post 50 ft. South of our BL850N+00,. that being
Walker's L.40E.+ SOON picket. Twelve Mag. anomalies
are targets for investigation, as are 23 S.P. anomalies,
PAGE TWO
SUMMARY (Cont.):
ten of which coincide with Mag. highs while another
six are closely associated, being in what we interpret
as "down-hill, down-dip" relationships, similar to
those obtained on the downhill side of interpreted
VLF EM conductors. (Elliott 1983 and Walker, 1981)
PROPERTY:
Subject claims S-593836 (Elliott 100 0Xo) S-720815-16
(G. Campbell 81 M. Dekeyser 50-50) are on the
easterly limit of the Howry Creek Prospect. No fur
ther staking will be permitted undsr regulations ob
taining from Ontario Regulation No. 343^3(June 7/83).
This Regulation took effect without prior notice to
claimholders hi the area and inhibits further explor
ation .
Access is by boat from the village of Willisville
on Charlton Lake through Howry Creek, one portage
to Murray Lake, thence hiking North on L40E to 850N
(BL 850 N+00) thence East on BL. to L.28E.BL termin
ates at L.56 E.The South boundary of these claims was
until June 7/83 Killarney Park boundary. For this
reason the u;iur, u-a! ; Dsif igura tion of t!i3 claims was
set out iy the Mining Recorder'* sfaff at Sudbury to
avoid fractional claims and other disparities relating
to the claims map. As staked they average l , /l 0,000 squ ,

feet as compared with 1,742,000 squ. ft. (40 acres).
A series of roughly East by North ridges has visible
offsets to North and South, possibly indicating local
faults and shears. There is no evidence of previous
work other than staking and minor digging around out
crops possibly 50 years ago,
HISTORY
The Tough brothers are said to have prospected in the
area as early as 1910. A 70-foot shaft was sunk at
a point 6,800 ft. West of these claims on a vein of
arsenopyrite yielding up to 1.98 opt.Au, An adit was
driven from the South 421 feet slightly North and
West of the shaft, about 80 ft. below the shaft open
ing but failed to locate ore. Rock trenching was also
done at that time, in 1921. Since 1974 geophysical
surveys have covered the entire group of 18 contig
uous claims from 1,850 ft. West of the shaft to 9,600
fi-. East, including subject work, including geology
and VLF EM by Getty Mines Ltd. on the shaft claim;
magnetic and VLF EM on six claims by Dungarvon
Resources, magnetic and EM on four claims at Murray
Lake by Walker Exploration for Dungarvon; self potent
ial and magnetic surveys have now covered the ground
from the Curtin-Rooseve 11 boundary to the eastern
bouo^or/, indicating continuity throughout.

GEOLOGY; ( Ref. Ontario Geoscience Report 131.)
The claims are mainly underlain by east-west trending
sedimentary rocks of the Middle Precambrian Gowganda
formation, greywacke argillites and sandctort e?. An east-
svest trending Nipissing Diabase dike seems to occupy
the north half of the subject claims, with meta-sedimen ts
to the south evident in a steep shear to the major Howry
Creek fault east-west through the river system. Minor
quartz veins are visible at some outcrops.
SURVEY METHODS:
An existing base line was extended from Line 28E to L. 56 E
with N-S liners turned off at 400' intervals. Lines were
picketed at 50' station inter/oils. A. Sharpe MF-1 magnet-
omter courtesy Coni c o Ltd. was employed, integrated w It S
Walker's work to the West as previously described. Diurnal
control was exefc iied by using baseline datum points at
line crossings. Correct ions applied ranged from 25-300 g,

some low lying areas and doubtless has a masking effect.
SURVEY RESULTS:
Magnetite up to S Vo i s known to exist in the diabase along
ith pyrrotire which may contribute to anomalous highs.

SURVEY RESULTS (Cont.)
However, it is borne in mind t In of about 1,000,000 tans
of low grade copper ore has been outlined on Aggressive
Mines Ltd. property westerly on strike in the same dike*
Some interpreted sulphide zones (SP) coincide with Mag,
highs, whereas others persist where magnetic values ara
low.In hindsight, lack of field notes cis to outcrop and
overburden, especially clays, makes interpretation ex
tremely difficult, if not imposs ibl e .The outcome is that
all anomalies should be checked by intensive prospecting
including trenching and sampling. An alternate series of
lines at 200' spacing with Mag. and SP. with close attent
ion to ground conditions would help to clarify things.
CONCLUSIONS:
Location of prospecting targets has been
accomplished. The magnet5c survey tends to confirm the
east-west trend to formations and suggests north-south
fault zones. The same can He said for the SP sur/sy.
Interpreted SP sulphide zones where not associated with
Mag. highs c u!d represent the presence of arsenopyrite
with associated gold, cobalt, minor copper and platinum
group metals. When the half intensity formula is applied
to the magnoti: highs, depth to target for a series of
dipoles ranges from 35-75 ft. Intense but relatively narrow
SP values suggest narrow targets closer to surface possibly
at rock surface in f some cases, suggesting the possibility of sources o t li e r t'nan i r on d erivatives. END.

Dear Mr. EI liott:
SUBJECT: Mining Claim S.593836, Roosevelt Township (M.1081 4 G.3183) District of Sudbury
Mining Claim S.593836 is cancelled effective January 3, 1985, under Section 85-1(c) of the Mining Act; which reads:
"Except as provided by section 86 all the interest of the holder of a mining claim before its patent has issued ceases without any declaration entry or act on the part of the Crown or by any officer, and the claim is open for prospecting and staking out, if the prescribed work is not duly performed."
This mining claim was under an extension Order of the Mining X Lands Commissioner for the performance of deficiency of work, and the filing of due proof thereof, to and including December 7, 1984.
On December 28, 1984, l received a letter from our Mining land's section (Land Management Branch) requsting a copy of the "Report of Work", that is normally filed with the Mining Recorder, covering reports and maps they had received on December 14, 1984, from the Southwestern Ontario Regional Office.
You may have completed a Geophysical (Radiometric and Magnetometer) Survey on this mining claim, but l did not receive a completed "Report of Work Form" by Monday, December 10, 1984 allowing for the mail delivery; therefore this mining claim is cancelled.
You may have submitted certain documentation through the Southwestern Office of the Ministry of Natural Resources at London, Ontario to our Toronto Office, but Section 15(1) of the Mining Act Chapter 268, R.S.0.1980 still applies.
