What is the central idea of your concentration?

My concentration expresses my passion for Character Design. These characters are brought to life through extensive investigation of their personalities and attributes and introduced in the opening scene of my fantasy story.

My story is a blend of a fundamental moral message involving the importance of creativity and imagination within a serious plot, gracing a nuance of humor.

How does the work in your concentration demonstrate the exploration of your idea? You may refer to specific images as examples. When referencing specific images, please indicate the image numbers.

Beck, the main character, is looking for his father and accidentally falls asleep. His character represents today's average broken youth so I rendered him as a sensitive, naïve boy as displayed in C10 with disheveled hair.

In contrast, Lexia is tenacious, stubborn and strong-willed girl who attempts to kill Beck for stealing “the gifts of the mage” promised to her by the dark overseer of Aerorthia. Her exterior is rough but by using sensitive rhythmic lines, as in #C1, I convey her gentle side.As Beck magically enters Lexia’s imagination he wakes up in this totally different world

discovering he has abilities he never imagined possible called The Gift of the Ostarius, represented in C#9 with vibrant colors and value for depth, which represents the gatekeepers of the realm of imagination.

Mow Mow Lynx, is a paradoxical character who may or may not be trustworthy, rendered in C#4 with a variety of expressions, but through his adventures with Lexia and Beck, he learns the error of his ways and tries to replenish what he lacked in his heart. The mission becomes clear that this is no dream, but a means to save Lexia, as we

learn she is actually dying in the real world.
