INTRODUCTION TO KNITTING

This 4 day workshop is designed to take a beginner through the initial steps of knitting which can then translate into a wide range of products.

What you learn

How to 'cast on' and 'cast off' stitches, basic knit stitches (knit and purl), basic designs such as stocking stitch, moss, rib, cable and eyelet and also how to shape knitted products. It also teaches you to read and execute abbreviations used in knitting along with knitting terminology.

Materials required

a) Wool – 1 ball

a) Knitting needles – No 9 or 10 (3.5 mm or 3.25 mm)

KNITTED STOLE

Pick up you knitting needles and create either one of these two interesting stoles.
