Machines and TOOL - P.2

Automatic vertical grinding machine- Machine designed for the grinding of dies with different diameters

without stopping the machine and with no intervention of the operator after the initial programming

- Programme management by computer numerical control

- Automatic feeding of the die at the working station and automatic tightening in a chuck

- Grinding of the cone and cylindrical part without any dismantling, which guarantees a perfect concentricity

- «A minima» wear integrated grinding programme (without reaching the meeting point) > material saving and therefore longer use and life of the die (optimised life)

- Grinding of dies from 1.5 to 10 mm

- Automatic control of the die diameter

- Remote maintenance

OUR hisTORY

A know-how of over 150 years. The longest experience in tungsten carbide tooling for metal forming.

"OUR KNOW-HOW FOR YOUR EFFICIENCY"

AGIR TECHNOLOGIES, the world leader in tools for metal forming and in machines to work tungsten carbide dies.

Pierre FERRET, worker in the company MILAN, polishes the first diamond drawing die in the world.

1865

He settles his owns company and manufactures drawing dies in sapphire, ruby and diamond : Les Ateliers FERRET, the origin of the company AGIR TECHNOLOGIES.

1870

They decide to stop producing diamond, ruby and sapphire dies due to the profitability of tungsten carbide dies.Creation of the company MOUTON by Paul and Maurice MOUTON.

1936

Pierre FERRET and his son Robert develop the tools in tungsten carbide : dies for wire, tube and cold heading.

1945

The company decides to produce its first machines to repair drawing dies.1955

The company PIVOT manufactures its first grinding machines; it will be taken over by the company MOUTON in 1975.

1960

Installation in the premises of Gevrey Chambertin in the heart of the famous Burgundy vineyards. RIVOM becomes the company name.

1963

Jean-Pierre FERRET (4th generation) joins the family company and contributes very actively to its international development for over 48 years.

1968

RIVOM becomes the European leader in tools for metal forming.1980

RIVOM takes over the company MOUTON and creates the AGIR TECHNOLOGIES Group.

1990

RIVOM takes over the company GMA, the producer of metal conveyor belts.1995

The 3 companies (MOUTON, RIVOM, GMA) are gathered in one single entity, AGIR TECHNOLOGIES which runs the 3 brand-names.

2007

1929 Pierre FERRET (son), continues the family company, produces the first tungsten carbide drawing die in the world and manufactures then the first tungsten carbide tool for metal forming.
