PERFECT PROM

We asked 2 Year 11 pupils about what they

thought their perfect suit would be Do you want to play our Su-

doku game, well here’s how

You need 9 digits in total in

each row, column and box.

Once you fill all the numbers

in, you’ve done. If there is 1

already in the column, row

or box, you know that the

number can’t be 1—and so

on all the way to 9.

TOP TIP : Don’t put your first

answer in the square, put

whatever numbers it could

be at the top left corner.

ALONG WITH THE CHINESE NEW YEAR STAR SIGNS, THERE ARE A WHOLE LOAD

OF OTHERS TO DO WITH WHICH MONTH YOU WERE BORN IN. READ BLOW AND

FIND OUT YOUR STARSIGN AND WHAT YOU ARE LIKE.

Aries the ram (March 21st -

April 19th): Aries are courageous , and take on any battle

coming their way. These individuals won't

hold onto the pass or continue mourning for

something that is gone. They have great opti-

mism and enthusiasm. However, they are

supposed to be very stubborn.

Taurus the bull (April

20th - May 20th): Taurus' are known for their attachment

and reliability. They are kind, dependa-

ble and caring, and make good financial

advisors. However, they are supposedly stub-

born, static and control freaks that won't relax.

Gemini the twins

(May 21st - June

20th): Gemini are spir ited, adjusta-

ble , smart and fast . Their wits and

sense of humour wil l lead them

through anything l i fe throws at them.

The bad point i s that Gemini often

can't stay in one place for too

long, and may ditch someone they

have been close to for years .

Cancer the crab( June

21rd - July 23rd) : Cancer are loving, and have a strong con-

nection to home. They also are known to love

family and friends dearly and are loyal to them.

However they feel a need to be needed and can

sometimes be shy or moody.

Leo the lion (July 23rd - Au-

gust 23rd): Leos are honest and decent people. They like

organisation and are often calm, relaxed and

brave. They also make long lasting relation-

ships. However, they can become arrogant

which could lead them to being alone - which

they hate.

Virgo the maid (August 23rd

- September 23rd): Virgos are patient, extremely calm, they love to

laugh! They also are known to be more of a si-

lent type. They are also very creative. However,

they can be judgemental and often critical. Sometimes

they do not live up to their full potential.

Libra the scales ( September

23rd - October 23rd): Libras have a strong sense of justice and will

get upset if they feel something is unjust. They

are prone to talk about their favourite subjects

for long periods of time. The bad things are that they

can often become argumentative and can be perceived

as being absent-minded.

Scorpio the scorpion

( October 23rd - Novem-

ber 22nd): A Scorpio's greatest strength is its sen-

Zodiac Star Signs (continued)

Sagittarius the hunter

( November 22nd - De-

cember 21st): Sagittarius' are adventures, and will

have a deep understanding of people in

different ways of life. They are highly

adjustable and will make a great

friend. However, they are easily dis-

tracted, and their mind may wonder

from the task at

hand.

Capricorn the goat

(December 22nd - Janu-

ary 19th): The best points to a Capricorn are their

ambition, patience and discipline. They

are often successful in their career path as

they often think ahead. They are dedicat-

ed individuals, and although they may not

open up at first, they will be extremely

trust-worthy. However, they apparently

can easily become grumpy, unsatisfied

and annoyed or even angry at their cir-

cumstance.

Aquarius the jug of water

( January 20th - February

18th ): They are energetic, full of brilliant ideas and

intelligent. They will inspire everyone around

them to think of the next good idea. They can

be eccentric, and even a little strange. But

their greatest weakness is their lack of connec-

tion to the world.

Pisces the fish (February 19th -

March 20th): They are extremely imaginative, and this can spark

their creativity and dedication. They are talented,

sensitive and compassionate. However, they can be

extremely pessimistic if their goals turn out to be

wrong or fade. They can also be submissive or easi-

ly influenced.

The Super moon

A Super moon is the closest the moon gets to earth in its elliptical orbit. When this hap-pens the result is a perigee-syzygy of the earth-moon-sun system which is a technical name for the largest apparent size of the lunar disk. The not so recent Super moon, on the14th November 2016, was the closest since 26th January 1948 and will remain to be un-til 25th November 2034. It is claimed that the Super moon phenomenon, because of the moons close relation-ship with the oceanic and crustal tides, causes an in-crease in the chance of devas-tating natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic erup-tions and tsunamis. The dis-tance between Earth and our moon varies monthly and is between approximately

As well as the Super moon there is the Micromoon, the opposite phenomenon, the official name for the Micromoon is the apogee-syzygy which is lesser known then the Super moon.

Ice Shelf In Trouble

The Larsen ice shelf has, over a length-ening period of time, developed a wor-rying and dangerous crack. Stretching 100 miles across the shelf and with a tip just 20 miles from the ice shelfs other side the crack can sometimes reach 2 miles in width which, while nothing in comparison to 100 miles, is a staggering and dangerous width. The cracks in the Antarctic's ice shelves are proof that the deadly issue of global warming is desta-bilizing the Antarctic's ice shelfs and en-dangering us and the other creatures on our world.

So how are you associated with the Blues

Brothers?

I was doing the swapping for mics. What I

would do, is I get the mics, there's a mic

pack and also a mic headset. And

basically, you get the mic headset and you

put it on whoever's head and adjust the

tightness at the back, and then once

you've adjusted the tightness, you take the

mic to their face.

So, how hard has it been working in the

Blues Brothers?

I have been working quite hard as I have

had to do three jobs, including: mic

swapper; runner and stage hand.

What has been your favourite moment

working for the school play?

At the end :where we all went on stage

and we all danced, that was really fun.

What has been the hardest challenge when

working there?

Probably, to lift the stuff up the stairs,

because we've had to lift massive heavy

stuff up - and once, we had to move this

huge car that was made entirely out of

wood, so that was pretty hard.

Has it interfered with home

life, and if so how?

Very tired- it's made me

very, very tired as you have

to stay there till 09:30pm,

sometimes 10:00pm.

What was your reason for join-

ing in in the Blues Brothers.

Well, my Mum's friend’s son

whose called Cameron

McBane and his sister Ame-

lia , they invited me to come -

so I did.

Thank you for your time.

Thank you.

SOCIAL MEDIA SAFETY

DANGERS

Somebody you don't know could find

out personal information about you;

like what school you go to and where

you live. This can happen if you in-

clude your school logo in photos or

videos, or carelessly tell someone you

don't know who you've befriended

online. Also, too many young people

die because they have been groomed

online. Grooming is where you be-

friend someone you don't know on

social media and they lie about their

age, so you may be a 14 year old

thinking you're gaming with another

14 year-old, when you might be gam-

ing with a 54 year-old. Once they've

been gaming/texting with you for a

long while you will start to trust them

and will count as one of your friends.

That's when they tell you that you

don't have to do as you're told and

that you can do want you want etc...

Usually they invite you round and if

you fully trusted this person you'd ex-

cept. Once you've arrived it is rare but

possible that you will be murdered.

Cyber bullying is also more

common than we want. This

is where

again someone is on social

media and someone is bully-

ing you

and saying things that they

won't have the guts to say to

their

faces.

You can prevent all this by:

not showing your school logo

on the

internet, not sharing personal

details and being careful who

you

befriend on social media.

The majority of the school have social media (Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram...) when the actual

age to be allowed is 13 and even that isn't an appropriate age.

Healthy Eating

Everyone knows that pizza, burgers and sweets are a

tempting comfort food,

so here are some ideas to make the comfort food into

something tastier and healthier!

Healthy banana bread Heat oven to 180*C. Grease and line a loaf tin with baking parchment (allow it to come 2cm above top of tin). Mix 285g of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 200g of caster sugar and a pinch of salt in a large bowl. Then, mix 4 banana, 2 eggs and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract and 85ml of buttermilk.. Quickly stir into dry ingredients, then gently scrape into the tin and scatter with nuts, if using. Bake for 1 hr 10 mins-1 hour or until a skewer comes out clean .Cool in tin on a wire rack. Eat warm or at room temperature, with low-fat spread.

Spinach & sun-dried tomato stuffed pizza

This stuffed pizza is filled with crumbled tofu, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, cheese and fresh basil. It's easy to make stuffed pizza at home. Just roll the crust thin, spread filling over half and fold closed. To use fresh spinach, cook 10 ounces until just wilted; finely chop and squeeze dry. Serve with: Marinara sauce for dipping and mixed green salad.

I DON'T TRUST ATOMS, I HEARD THEY MAKE UP EVERYTHING.
