Who are We?The Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) @ NC STATE

is the undergraduate chapter of the Student National Medical Association who’s mission is to :

Guide an assist all minority pre-health students in the exploration of professional healthcare careers by coordinating and implementing informational programs, providing helpful academic resources and organizing volunteer opportunities. NCSU-MAPS will also strive to create awareness about healthcare disparities among minorities and work towards eradicating them.

Purpose & Goals of NCSU-MAPS 2nd Annual Celebration

• To engage in part of a growing national campaign whose mission is to educate Latinos about HIV/AIDS, encourage them to get tested for HIV and to advocate for those living with the virus.

• By forging partnerships with – University campus Latino and other interested organizations.– Local Latino and other interested businesses/organizations– State Latino and other interested businesses/organizations

hosting community events to encourage people to seek HIV testing, counseling and treatment, and by developing and disseminating prevention strategies
