For students who meet 100% of their AR

Goal, and reach a comprehension score of

80% will get to participate in a special re-

ward! We will have a Laser Tag event for

to celebrate their hard work!

Please help your student reach their goal

by helping them remember to read EVERY

night for 20 minutes!

AR Requirements

Please make sure your child is

meeting the reading requirements

for AR this school year. You may

communicate with your child’s

teacher if you are unsure of the re-

quirements your student needs to

be working towards. Each student

has an individual goal. Overall,

teachers are encouraging students

to have an 80% passing rate on AR

tests. There are many incentives we

are offering students to help them

achieve their goals!

Immunizations

Texas State Law requires your child to be immunized against certain vac-

cine-preventable diseases. There are two required vaccines for 7th grade:

Tdap & Meningococcal. If your child has already received these immuniza-

tions please send a copy of their immunization record to the school. It is

best to get these as soon as possible to avoid the “back-to-school rush” in

August. Your child will not be allowed to start 7th grade if they have not

received these immunizations. If you have any questions, please call the

school.

derway! Your child has been giv-

en a reading log to keep track of

their reading time. Students

who complete 360 minutes of

extra reading time, fill the log

out, and turn it in by the due

date, will receive a FREE Six Flags
