1-1. Brief Outline of Chart Type and Application
Method of Creating Chart
Select a chart type from the lists in the chart picker (Visualize room), and then add measures and
dimensions to analysis axes as required according to the text reference in the shelves below.
Chart Category (Standard charts without extensions)
Bar/Column Chart, Line Chart, Pie Chart, Geo Bubble Chart, Scatter Plot, Heat Map, Crosstab,
Numeric Point, Box Plot
Analysis Type
• Comparison
• Percentage
• Correlation
• Trend
• Geographic

1-2. Analysis Type – Comparison (1/5)
Application: Compares differences between values or shows a simple comparison of categorical
divisions of measures
Application Example: By bar chart, sales comparison among branch offices can be achieved.
Main Charts Available:
• Bar Chart
• Column Chart
• Column Chart with 2 Y-Axes
• 3D Column Chart
• Marimekko Chart
• Radar Chart
• Area Chart
• Tag Cloud
• Heat Map
• Tree Map
• Table
• Cross Tab

1-2. Analysis Type – Percentage (2/5)
Application: Shows the percentage of parts in a whole or values as ratios to a whole. The legend
shows the percentage and the total values.
Application Example: use a pie chart to see which branch office had the highest sales as part of a
total sales value directly.
Total sales = $200M, Branch A had 10% ($20M), Branch B had 65% ($130M), and Branch C had
25% ($50M)
Main Charts Available:
・ Pie Chart
・ Donut Chart
・ Pie with Depth Chart
・ Stacked Column Chart
・ Tree Map
・ Funnel Chart

1-2. Analysis Type – Correlation (3/5)
Application: Shows the relationship between values or compares multiple measure values.
Application Example: Use a bubble chart to view the correlation of two measures and understand
the impact of the first measure on the second measure which is time-dependent.
Main Charts Available:
・ Scatter Plot
・ Scatter Matrix Chart
・ Bubble Chart
・ Network Chart
・ Numeric Point
・ Tree

1-2. Analysis Type – Trend (4/5)
Application: Shows a trend in the data values (especially for time-based dimensions such as fiscal
year, period, quarter) or the progression of your data and possible patterns.
Application Example: Use a line chart to view sales revenue trends of a product throughout a
range of years.
Main Charts Available:
• Line Chart
• Line Chart with 2 Y-Axes
• Combined Column Line Chart
• Combined Column Line Chart with 2 Y-Axes
• Waterfall Chart
• Box Plot
• Parallel Coordinates

1-2. Analysis Type – Geographic (5/5)
Application: Shows a map of the country object used in the analysis and can optionally show data
for dimensions (sorted by the country on the map) or the geographical spread of data for a single
country in broad view.
Application Example: Use Geo Map to display sales by countries/districts/cities on the map
※Application prerequisite:
① The dataset you use must contain geographical data.
② Before creating a geographic chart, you must have an Esri ArcGis Online account.
Main Charts Available:
• Geo Bubble Chart

Geo Data Creation & Geo Map Application
Foundation:Lumira+Esri Implementation
• Lumira provides database (NAVTEQ) to identify and map geographic data.
• Esri provides the map info for displaying. (Esri account necessary)
Methods of Geo Data Creation
• By Name:Map with geo data on NAVTEQ by name
• By Latitude/Longitude:Directly display the location on Esri Map
Limitations
• The geo data can only be assigned to levels at ‘Country/District/Sub District/City/Other’
• When creating geographic hierarchy from geo data in dataset:
→ By Name: Not all language is applicable (e.g.: Japanese N/A); Area with fewer population than100 thousand is unable to be identified.
→ By Latitude/Longitude: Latitude/Longitude data should be prepared by each target area.
Map Customizing
• If required to display the map info in a customized way instead of a default way (standard EsriMap), making use of Esri Online to customize the map is possible.
© 2015 ABeam Consulting Ltd. Confidential
Methods of Geo Data Creation: By Name
Prerequisite:
①Geo data (e.g.: city name) is in identifiable language (e.g.: English)
②The target area (e.g. city) exists on NAVTEQ database (With a population larger than 100,000)
Mapping result

Methods of Geo Data Creation: By Latitude/Longitude
Prerequisite:
Latitude/Longitude data is equipped for the target area level.
© 2015 ABeam Consulting Ltd. Confidential
Chart Example Based on Latitude/Longitude
For specific locating such as branch offices in one city, latitude/longitude is
necessary
© 2015 ABeam Consulting Ltd. Confidential
Map Customizing
Lumira provides an option of ‘Esri Custom Service’ to display the map info in a customized way.
• Map is customized and connected by ‘My content’ on Esri Online Website. (Already existed
resource on website is available to be applied)
• Customized map can be customized and applied by a whole organization registered on Esri Online.
• Example: Specify one area; Add emphasizing color to one area; Add fixed marker in one area, etc.

Steps of Applying Geo Data – Outline
The steps of applying geo data in Lumira is as follows:
49
Preparation of Geo Data
1. Input (prepare) the Latitude/Longitude data
Pre-setting of Lumira
1. Set Esri Account
2. Confirm the proxy settings
Chart Creation
1. Add data
2. Select Geo Map
3. Create geographic hierarchy (1/2)– Sales Area
4. Create geographic hierarchy (2/2)– Service Center
5. Map the sales Area
6. Map service center

Preparation of Geo Data – Input Latitude/Longitude data
Prepare and input the Latitude/Longitude data of both District and service center (Brand Name).
※The data is filtered by district for demo
50
Add latitude/longitude for each
district.
Add latitude/longitude for each service
center (Brand Name).※For the demo, it is supposed that there is only one
branch store for the service center of each brand in
each district.

Pre-setting of Lumira – Set Esri Account
It is necessary to be applied external data (Esri Map) in order to display detailed map info.
※Input Esri account in the ‘Preference->Geo Map Service’ in Lumira
By the URL provided by Lumira, access the esri website and create a account in advance.
※Restrction: Free Trial version available for 60 days.
51
If prepared Esri account is not
available, click on the URL to
create one.
If already owned an Esri account, select the
check box, and input user name & password
below.

Pre-setting of Lumira – Confirm the proxy settings
Applying geo data requires download of map info from Esri website, hence it is necessary to
confirm proxy settings by ‘Preference -> Network’ in Lumira.
52
In the case of ABeam network, no proxy
should be selected.

Chart Creation – Add Data
Create a new dataset and report by using the prepared data file.
※Excel file is applied as data source for the demo.
53
Select Microsoft Excel as
dataset (data source) to be
added.
Select the prepared file.

Chart Creation – Select Geo Map
After the data is added and read, select Geo Map as the target chart type.
54
Select ‘Geo Map’
The map info is downloaded from
Esri database.

Chart Creation – Create Geo Hierarchy (1/2)
Map the latitude/longitude data as geographic hierarchy into sales area (districts).
55
①From the gear (option button) of
‘District EN’, select ‘Create
Geographic hierarchy By
Latitude/Longitude’
② Select the column name of
latitude and longitude of the data file
as associated coordinates
③ Select the lowest grade ‘City’ as
geographic level.
④By assigning target
dimension with
latitude/longitude as city
level, the upper level
‘Country/District/Sub
district’ are automatically
assigned and created.

④By appointing target
dimension with
latitude/longitude as city
level, the above
‘Country/District/Sub
district’ are
automatically assigned
and generated.
