The LumiMax PL® produces a pulse or shot with a wave length of 610nm to 950nm, which selectively and intelli-gently targets the melanin in the hair without damaging the surrounding tissue.

The LumiMax PL® incorporates a double filter cut to provide safer treatments by eliminating harmful wavelengths without affecting the water in the tissues.

New “FPL” micro-pulse technology

The engineers who designed the LumiMax PL® successfully subdivided each pulse or shot giving the operator the ability to micro-manage the way in which the energy is delivered, allowing him to add rest periods (off time) that help protect the surrounding structures, eliminating the risk of discomfort or burns.

By adequately setting the rest or relaxation micro-periods during the shot or pulse, the skin is able to cool down while the hair reaches the right temperature for the photothermolysis to take place. Permanent hair removal

This treatment aims to permanently remove unwanted hair in 4 to 8 sessions.

You can achieve extraordinary results with this device, eliminating up to 90% of the hair in facial areas (upper lip, chin and between eyebrows) as well as body areas (bikini, underarms, back and legs).

Selective Photothermolysis

In a hair removal treatment, the light emitted by the LumiMax PL® is absorbed by the melanin in the hair, producing the photothermolysis process to prevent further regeneration. Each shot with the LumiMax PL® increases the follicle’s temperature to up to 70° Celsius, removing the hair and each germ cell in the follicle. The high amounts of energy delivered in each shot reduce the number of sessions, ensuring the efficacy of the treatment.

Hair is shaved off and cooling gel is

applied.

In a fraction of a second, the red

pulsed light heats up the hair.

The hair detaches from the follicle and

falls out.

Red light applied at a wavelength of 630 nm complements the effect of the blue light by acting deeper in the skin, and also eliminates the scars thanks to its regenerative and biostimulating power.

Photorejuvenation

Achieve exceptional results in rejuvenation treatments. The LumiMax PL’s Fractional Pulsed Light significantly improves the appearance of aged skin, reducing fine wrinkles, imperfections, redness, dryness and spots while increasing its luminosity.

With age, the skin’s collagen production decreases, causing

the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, folds

and creases.

The LumiMax PL’s yellow light stimulates cells called fibroblasts

to produce more collagen.

The new collagen starts to move towards

the skin surface.

Collagen production increases, creating

a smoother texture, reducing wrinkles and shrinking large pores.

Excessive amounts of dead skin cells

and sebum obstruct pores. Bacteria

accumulate and cause the infection which

results in acne.

The light delivered by the LumiMax PL heats up the skin,

stimulating collagen production and exci-ting the surrounding

oxygen.

The bacteria that cause acne are anae-robic, therefore they die when exposed to oxygen. At this point

the dead skin cells are separated from

the pores.

The remaining dead cells and bacteria

detach from the pore. The swelling decreases

and the infection di-sappears. The collagen moves towards the skin

surface.

The pore is no longer obstructed. Skin

becomes clear and softer.

Acne treatment

The LumiMax PL® effectively treats simple and inflammatory acne by using two different wavelengths, blue light and red light, eliminating the infection caused by the P. acnes bacterium and regenerating the affected skin.

The application of light at a wavelength of 415 nm, generates a photochemical reaction that leads to the production of free radi-cals (singlet oxygen) which destroy the acne bacterium reducing the inflammation in the affected area.
