The land of << Tierra de Barros >> produce excellent red and white grapes.

Two wineries that produce the wines included in this presentation are located in Badajoz, one in Villafranca de Barros and the other in Almendralejo.

Despite the fact that since very old times the local varieties of this area have been the Pardina and the Cayetana grapes, the wineries produce white wines using grapes such as the Macabeo and Sauvignon Blanc and reds using the Garnacha , Merlot , Cabernet Sauvignon and Mazuelo.

Romale produce more crianzas or reservas from their own vineyards of Tempranillo, older than fifteen years old. Also produce delicious and delicate Cavas or sparkling wine using the traditional method. Based on the second fermentation of a coupage of the Macabeo and Parellada varieties, this wine is grown in the Almendralejo area and comes under the DO Cava appellation.

The Winery Cave, has vineyard older than 50 years old, and is very competitive in young wines, with or without Denomination of Origin, and also produce Sangría (a mixture of Wine and fruit, lighter in alcohol than avearage wines, and very refreshing for enjoy with food or as long drink in the night, served with some slices of fruit is ideal for light meals.
