Swirl Diffusers can improve the function of air conditioningand ventilating installationsApplicationDiffuserswith swirl characteristics are often used for a di-rect ventilation of occupied zones in commercial and in-dustrial facilities which require high air exchange ratese.g. restaurants, shopping centers, laboratories, offices, meeting rooms.
New swirl diffuser forms of the typeDLAwith adjustableair distributing components offer an attractive, moderndesign and flexibility in terms of air flowpattern. AsDLAdiffusers are easily adjustable the patterns can be set tosuit varying room conditions, even after installation.
The highly inductive, fanned rotational flow makes itpossible to handle high cooling loads and still maintaincomfortable air conditions. This effect is created by flowfrom many individual air jets which make the diffusersuitable for small or large volume flows and variable vol-ume systems.
The recommended installation height is 2.5 ... 5 meters.

Swirl Diffusers Type DLA 7
FunctionThe LTG Swirl Diffuser type DLA 7 is a highly inductivediffuser which may either be integrated in the ceiling orfree suspended, thus offering a wide variety of possibili-ties and presentation.
AdvantagesDesign / Appearance
- The diffuser plate is available either powder coated, toRAL reference, or chromium plated. The swirl disc isavailable in black or white.
- All metal construction.
Economy / Flexibility
- Fast installation as pattern can be factory--set but subse-quently modified to suit new room conditions.
Comfort
- Good comfort in the occupied zone is ensured by rapiddecay of velocity and temperature difference of the sup-ply jet.
- Direct, efficient, ventilation of occupied zones.
Range of productsModel sizes: (diffuser plate nominal size)square: 400, 500, 600, 625, 800 mmround: 400, 500, 600, 625, 800 mm

rectangular boxcylindrical box
- with adjustable flow restrictor inside the spigot*, adjust-ment from below through the diffuser plate.* not possible with the rectangular spigot connection op-tion.
Duct connectionSide or top entry (the round spigot must be “bayonet”installed by the customer). For small box heights a sideentry rectangular connection is available.
Diffuser plateSteel galvanized, visible side powder coated to RAL ref-erence or chromium plated.
Diffusing componentsSteel galvanized, painted in black or white
Flow typesThe swirl disc canbe set for two flow types : the tangentialflow 1 and 2, or vertical flow.
Tangential flow 1-- standard setting -- the air jets will at-tach strongly to the ceiling resulting in a fully mixed tur-bulent flow structure in the room, with rapid temperatureand velocity decay of the jet.

vertical setting

Tangential setting 2, prefered for lower volume flow ratesand large cooling differentials. The outlet cross--sectionis reduced, thus diffusing the air with increased momen-tum, ensuring that the jet remains powerfully attached tothe ceiling. As a result, induction effect is increased.
Vertical setting, prefered setting during heating opera-tion. In the case of the vertical flow, the air is projectedconocally downwards.
