GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The EZI‐Vac valves are designed for many applications, including slurry and water. The large port design prevents clogging while the HI‐WEAR seat and float design offer a large sealing area. An Anti‐Surge Float option is available to limit discharge rates to 3.5kPa differential.
Common uses ‐ Slurry Pipe Lines, Deep Well Pumping, Waterlines, Sewage, High Pressure Pipe Lines, Pipeline with Scale.
Internal lining in Rubber, EPDM or Urethane on request.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Upwey Valve & Engineering’s range of slurry valves now includes the GYRO‐Disc rotating disc slurry gate valve. The GYRO‐Disc has a rotating disc mounted on a carrier wedge assembly. The complete disc and carrier assembly is suspended on the end of the spindle which allows movement around the axis of the spindle. The GYRO‐Disc slurry valve is designed specifically for slurries, ash disposal, abrasive media and any application where heavy scale build‐up is prominent. The GYRO‐Disc slurry valve range is rated to a maximum CWP of 150 bar (ANSI class 900) and is suited to applications in mining, mineral processing, power generation, pit dewatering, sand, gravel, chemicals, pulp and paper. Whilst opening and closing the valve, a combination of the orientation of the disc assembly together with pressure differences on the face of the disc whilst in the flow, will cause the disc to touch the valve seat and rotate by a few degrees. The rotation of the disc causes it to seal in a different position on each cycle, exposing a different portion of the disc to the flow therefore spreading the wear around the circumference of the disc. The discharge section of the body has a circular cut‐out in the lower area and during closure the flow is directed into this section causing a flushing action to remove any deposits. This prevents the disc from fouling on build up. The valves are fabricated from Xlerplate boiler plate GR460R from BLUESCOPE as standard, and Stainless Steel 304, 306 UNS S32750 super duplex on request.
The GYRO‐Disc slurry valve is designed for operation in the full‐open or full‐closed position and is not designed for throttle applications. Actuation options are hand‐wheel, bevel gearbox, pneumatic,
hydraulic and electric.

APPLICATION
The UPWEY MAXI‐Check I valves are designed specifically for slurries, dewatering or high pressure applications. The large port design prevents clogging while the HI‐WEAR seat offers a large sealing area.
The valve is normally located on pump discharge. In static situation the ball is held in the seat by back pressure. When the pump starts and pressure equalises, the ball then moves up into the ball bonnet where it is free to move and rotate on the media as it flows through the valve hence the ball will not attract scale build up. As the pump/media stops flowing, the ball falls into the seat and is once again held in the closed position by the back pressure. The hand wheel can then be wound to the closed position where the ball is mechanically held in the seat to create an isolation valve. The ball should show no signs of wear due to the fact it is free to roll or rotate on the flow and the seat is designed with minimum exposure to wear factors.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The MAXI‐Check H valves are designed specifically for slurry, ash disposal and mine de‐watering applications. The robust construction ensures years of continuous and reliable use.
The ball is manufactured from EN8 steel to withstand the mechanical forces exerted due to the high pressures in the systems where it is used. As the media flows through the valve, the ball lifts off the seat/seal arrangement and rolls or rotates as a result of the media moving through the valve. When the flow stops the ball falls into the seat/seal arrangement and prevents any back flow.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Upwey Valve & Engineering range of locally manufactured valves now includes the MAXI‐Check L low pressure ball check valve.
The large port design prevents clogging while the urethane coated ball is free to move and rotate with the media as it flows through the valve. This continuous movement prevents scale build up on the ball and within the ball bonnet, which can be inspected through the bonnet blanking flange. The seat is integral to the one piece body. The valves are fabricated which allows flexibility of manufacture to suit clients requirements. Standard face to face measurements are according to AS4794‐2001 paragraph 3.2.2 FIG. 3.1 or DIN 3202‐F6.
