May 6 2013 Re: ‘Making the Transition to Grade 7 and Upper School’ Dear Grade 6 Parents Graduating from Lower School to Upper School will mark an exciting time in your child’s academic life. However, transitions, even the most anticipated, can be stressful without proper preparation and information. With this in mind the Upper School will host morning transition activities for your child on the morning of Wednesday May 22. All Grade 6 students will have an opportunity to visit their Grade 7 teachers, be involved in a class activity and participate in question and answer sessions with Grade 7 teachers and current Grade 7 students. As a parent we are mindful that you too have questions about the expectations for this next phase of your child’s life at CDNIS. You are invited to an information night on Tuesday May 28 entitled, “Making the Transition to Grade 7 and Upper School”, to better prepare yourself and your child for the upcoming changes. Date: May 28, 2013 Venue; Leo Lee Arts Centre – theatre Time: 7:00-8:15 pm Faculty from the Upper School and the Student Council have prepared an evening presentation including information about the Middle Years Programme and expectations of students entering the Upper School. Light refreshments will be provided and bus service will be available as follows: 6:15 pm pick up from Admiralty 8:20 pm departures to Causeway Bay, Admiralty and Central.
