BingoCloud™ Functional Architecture

Automatic delivering of IT infrastructures

● Relational Database Service (RDS)

APIs of popular database systems (e.g. MySQL, MS-

SQL) are encapsulated in BingoCloud™ platform

providing customers with intervention-free database

manipulations like installing, configuring, backing-

up, patching and upgrading. A database require-

ment form is only needed from users via a self-

service interface. More advanced, High-Availability

of databases can be auto-configured as well for sta-

ble system running no matter there are broken stor-

ages or worn servers.

● 3D Rendering Service (3DRS)

Based on an unique Auto-Configuration feature for

3D-Rendering software, upon a requirement form

describing what customer needs, BingoCloud™ can

rapidly set up a specific 3D-Rendering cluster with

auto installation and configuration of various types

of rendering software like Maya, 3dmax, Deadline or

V-ray.

● Cloudformation (CFN)

Cloudformation service is fundamental for standard-

ized auto-deployment of enterprise applications. It

acts like a robot that can put building blocks (i.e.

cloud capacities) into different shapes of layouts

(i.e. application systems). All these are done just by

simple formation scripts submitted by end users.

● Elastic Compute Service (EC2)

BingoCloud™ can automatically setup virtual servers

with proper network and/or storage configurations

right after the online submitting of any new system

demands by target users instead of IT administra-

tors. In the meantime, the integrated hot-backup

functionality also provides with system constancy

during non-stop backing-up of virtual machines.

● Elastic Block Store (EBS)

Resource pool composed by multiple storage devices

provides ready-to-use high-capacity storages for

vast user data without limitation of local physical

HDD space. Critical data can also be well protected

by triggering the Snapshot and Recovery function

originally built in BingoCloud™.

● Simple Storage Service (S3)

Equipped with a strong distributed file system, Bin-

goCloud™ covers the traditional file saving and shar-

ing services for any kind of applications and that,

without worrying about file space expansion, file

transferring bottleneck or malfunctioning devices.

● Elastic Load Balance (ELB)

BingoCloud™ has the abilities of structuring load-

balance clusters upon its well-trusted Software Load-

Balance Equalizer. While cluster scale is defined and

easily modified by users, ELB service

takes care of the rest, automatically dis-

tributing visiting requests, even self-

expanding in case of overload.

● Elastic MapReduce (EMR)

API of Hadoop, the well-known big-data

processing system in IT industry, is na-

tively merged into BingoCloud™ for fast

constructions of big data calculating

clusters. Once the scripts (Map & Re-

duce) have been uploaded by users,

EMR service will buckle down itself into

the cluster which is scalable at any time.

● Network Segregating

The built-in Virtual Network Switch of BingoCloud™

can automatically isolate VMs from different cloud

tenants even if some of those VMs are located in a

same physical server. It prevents interference be-

tween applications, as well as web risks like worm

viruses or brutal attacks.

● Strong Network Authentication

A mandatory pairing of MAC vs. IP address in any

targeted VM can strongly prevent user resources

from being damaged. Once a mismatch is indicated,

BingoCloud™ will protect the VM by immediately dis-

connect it from outer network.

● Security Key

To avoid repetitiveness and simplicity of any

“handmade” password, BingoCloud™ supports a set

of security mechanism that on one hand, a 15-byte

complex password is randomly generated for each

virtual machine; on the other hand, each single user

is assigned a private key which is the only way to

reveal the password.

● High Data Reliability

The characteristic distributed storage system in base-

ment layer of BingoCloud™ implements data auto-

redundant by distributing the whole data uniformly

throughout multiple storage nodes. Each data seg-

ment can be configured to have double or more (up

to 10) copies scattering which guarantees no impacts

on upper level applications even if malfunctioning

happens of any single storage device.

● High Availability of VMs

When an EBS-type VM instance is initiated, a shared

storage will be allocated to it, is there a shut-down of

the related physical machine, a new VM will be repli-

cated by BingoCloud™ in another physical server and

keep applications running continuously with the same

storage data.

● High Availability of

Cloud Management Platform

The management platform of BingoCloud™ is native-

ly structured under a primary-backup hierarchy,

achieving remote disaster recovering capabilities and

non-stop system functionalities.

Flexible dispatching of IT resources

● Business-based Dispatching

BingoCloud™ applies by default a general optimized

strategy for dispatching hardware devices. However,

it can be adjusted according to real business needs.

For example, the “Power Saving” mode is usually

invoked in testing procedures while the “Greedy”

mode will actually be activated in production envi-

ronments. More advanced dispatching strategies are

also available for various customer needs.

● Auto-Scaling of

Application Resources

The Auto-Scaling capability of BingoCloud™ avoids

awkward situations traditionally happens when there

is mismatching between experience-depended esti-

mations and actual needs of IT resource scales.

Moreover, impacts from burstiness and/or periodici-

ty of application visits can be furthest eliminated

upon Auto-Scaling service, by increasing or decreas-

ing automatically the amount of computing re-

sources according to real-time load of application

systems.

● Live Migration of Virtual Machines

BingoCloud™ supports live migration (without shut-

ting down) of virtual machines in case there are

hardware failures or server replacements.

● Power Management

Power can be saved by turning the idle servers into

hibernate-mode. Furthermore, a power plan can be

scheduled for any server node to keep balance of

power consuming according to different visiting load

during a day, for example, day-time power-peak

should be higher than night-time.

● Resource Center

A mapping of physical and virtual resources present-

ed by BingoCloud™ Resource Center helps operating

staff quickly locate whatever spot should be focused

on. A drillable global view of Resource Center shows

cloud resource information from overall resource

statistics to detailed virtual machine or application

lists.

● Cloud Monitoring

BingoCloud™ can generate intuitive charts report of

complete resource running status, for example, CPU

real-time indexes, memory I/O throughput, applica-

tion access load and so on. ● Statement Analysis

Focusing on every aspect of the platform including

hardware usage rate, customer activities, as well as

application visits, BingoCloud™ provides multi-

dimension report forms for higher level (CIO or CTO)

analysis and decision-making whether there are

risked that can be avoided, or chances that can be

leveraged. EXCEL exporting is also supported for

easy aftertreatment.

● Multi Data Center Management

This feature benefits especially large-scale group

enterprise which needs separate data centers of

different branches. By deploying BingoCloud™ plat-

form covering from headquarters to branch compa-

nies, it can provide not only overall management for

group resource centralizing, but also flexibilities of

resource usage via certain allocation strategies.

● Visual Application Deployment

Design Tools

A visual UI can help drafting app-deployment proce-

dures by as simple as dragging and dropping. Appli-

cation system will be launched automatically right

after the settings of some necessary parameters fol-

lowed by a click on the submit button, avoiding un-

predictable human errors and achieving real stand-

ardized automation.
