Project: Use the Nu Line system to rehabilitate a natural gas piping system in-place. Customer: The Bridge of Lubbock is a charitable organization that helps under- privileged children, teenagers and families in the Lubbock area. It was founded in 1997 and is located in Lubbock, T exas. Site: The single-story brick building is a former elementary school, approximately 30 to 40 years old. System:  A natural gas piping system, which provides heat to the building, with diameters from 1/2" to 4". These black, hard-drawn, steel pipes are located beneath sidewalks and a playground, they are exposed on the roof and they also run through the cafeteria and gym, where the pipes are exposed and suspended from the ceiling. Most of the pipe system is welded. Problem:  The pipe system experienced several leaks. Since the pipes are welded, it was difcult to separate and determine the extent of the leaks within the system. The customer did not want the enormous inconvenience that would come with a traditional repair, so the customer chose Nu Flow’s noninvasive solution. Circumvention: If the customer had chosen a traditional pipe replacement (a repipe), the project would have taken at least three months and would have been extremely expensive. Approxi mately 200 feet of pipes are below sidewalks and a playground, which would have to be destroyed, blocked off and eventually reconstructed. In order to access the exposed pipes in the gymnasium, the bleachers would have to be moved, potentially ruining the wooden ooring, and the pipes would also require a new hanging system if replaced. Solution:  The charity’s administration voted unanimously to accept this Nu Flow licensee’s proposal, based on the quickness of the completion date, viability , cost savings and track record of success. The natural gas pipe system was rehabilitated in a fraction of the time and for a fraction of the cost of a traditional repipe, thanks to Nu Flow’s patented Nu Line system. This noninvasive process prevented the need for any destruction or digging in order to rehabilitate the pipes. First, the pipe system was cleaned. Then, the Nu Line system was installed. Compressors pumped clean air through the pipes, pushing the liquid epoxy throughout the pipe system until. The epoxy was left to cure, forming a barrier coating. This protective coating will serve as a long-term solution against pinholes, corrosion and other common failures from occurring. Project: Use the Nu Line system to rehabilitate a natural gas piping system in-place.

Customer: The Bridge of Lubbock is a

charitable organization that helps under-

privileged children, teenagers and families in

the Lubbock area. It was founded in 1997 and

is located in Lubbock, Texas.

Site:  The single-story brick building is a

former elementary school, approximately 30

to 40 years old.

System: A natural gas piping system, which

provides heat to the building, with diametersfrom 1/2" to 4". These black, hard-drawn,

steel pipes are located beneath sidewalks

and a playground, they are exposed on the

roof and they also run through the cafeteria

and gym, where the pipes are exposed and

suspended from the ceiling. Most of the pipe

system is welded.

Problem:  The pipe system experienced

several leaks. Since the pipes are welded,

it was difcult to separate and determine

the extent of the leaks within the system.

The customer did not want the enormousinconvenience that would come with a

traditional repair, so the customer chose Nu

Flow’s noninvasive solution.

Circumvention: If the customer had chosen a traditional pipe replacement (a repipe), the project would have

taken at least three months and would have been extremely expensive. Approximately 200 feet of pipes are below

sidewalks and a playground, which would have to be destroyed, blocked off and eventually reconstructed. In order

to access the exposed pipes in the gymnasium, the bleachers would have to be moved, potentially ruining the

wooden ooring, and the pipes would also require a new hanging system if replaced.

Solution: The charity’s administration voted unanimously to accept this Nu Flow licensee’s proposal, based on the

quickness of the completion date, viability, cost savings and track record of success. The natural gas pipe systemwas rehabilitated in a fraction of the time and for a fraction of the cost of a traditional repipe, thanks to Nu Flow’s

patented Nu Line system. This noninvasive process prevented the need for any destruction or digging in order to

rehabilitate the pipes. First, the pipe system was cleaned. Then, the Nu Line system was installed. Compressors

pumped clean air through the pipes, pushing the liquid epoxy throughout the pipe system until. The epoxy was left to

cure, forming a barrier coating. This protective coating will serve as a long-term solution against pinholes, corrosion

and other common failures from occurring.
