2 DECEMBER 11, 2015

Woohoo! Welcome to the last issue of 2k15! I really want to end this remarkable year on a good note by releasing this amazing issue.

My letter is always the last piece I scrawl before putting every-thing together, which, without exaggeration, takes me more than ten hours. That being said, it is not so painful when I see even just a little smile on your faces. Sincere thanks to all who have supported us and acknowledged our efforts!

A throwback to the end of October and Garth Stein’s visit to LCC, you will find a featured article on his inspiring speech in this issue. Thanks to my grad pride peers, “Halloweek” was a great success this year! On Remembrance Day, we reflected on the sacrifices of those who served our country, and their contributions to the peace we live in today. And certainly we have professionally grown on Pro-fessional Growth Days. A shout-out to the Grade 11 gentlemen who saved their moustaches for November, in order to raise awareness on how lazy they are, but who also successfully raised not only funds but also awareness on the importance of men’s health.

With music from the holiday concert reverberating, it will soon be time to welcome Santa Claus as he comes to town! Good luck on your exams, and I hope you enjoy this issue as much as you enjoy your holidays!

POLITICS

THE PLIGHT OF SYRIAN REFUGEES

The terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday the 13th of November shook the world into a renewed deep-seat-ed fear of ISIS (The Islamist State of Iraq and Syria). This terrible incident has made a lot of western coun-tries reconsider taking in Syrian refugees, even though all the attackers were French nation-alists. Follow-ing the attacks, France declared war on ISIS and followed up with numerous bombings of Raqqa, the self-declared capital of ISIS in Syria. Yet many people don’t know much about the actual situation in Syria. In order to formulate an opin-ion on whether or not the refugees should be allowed in, you should be better informed. In a nutshell, the conflict is between three key parties: the Free Syrian Army, the government of Syria and the Kurds. The Free Syrian Army is a rebel group in Syria. They are directly opposed to the Al Assad government. Supported by the United States, France, Turkey and others, they have the military and financial backing to uphold this revolution. The Al-Assad government of Syria is the “elect-ed” government. However, these officials are being accused of war crimes in the form of chemical weap-onry. Al-Assad is backed by Russia and Iran. They have enlisted the help of Iranian troops, as well as of militias such as the Hezbollah.

The Kurds, an ethnic group in the Middle East, are in the most unfortunate situation. They do not have many backers and they are only loosely allied with the Free Syrian Army, as they have Al-Assad as a common

enemy. However, military conflicts between the Kurds and the Free Syria Army have taken place, complicating the whole situation. They are based in the northern part of Syria and are responsible for the blurring of the Syrian and Iraqi border. ISIS has also made its way into this con-flict by taking random cities that have been left without enough protection due to the war. Yet what is definitely more important to the general public in our part of the world is the issue of Syrian refugees. Most, if not all, of the Syrian refugees

are citizens caught in the crossfire and are not part of any military force. If they are left in the country, they are at risk of dying due to bombings and chemical war-fare. This is the biggest refugee crisis since World War Two. With over four million people who have been affected by this conflict, countries like Germa-ny have really stepped up to the plate. They have said that they plan on allowing one million refugees across their borders, while countries like Canada and the United States are only offering to take a few thousand. Some refugees who are not being allowed past certain borders are taking drastic action, such as engaging in hunger strikes or even sewing their mouths shut! The conflict in Syria is one that will certainly leave its mark in history and may lead to a worse con-flict if left to continue as is.

Playoffs are around the corner and several teams are emerging as play-off contenders. It is time for Super Bowl predictions. In the AFC, you don’t need to look further then Tom Brady. Although they did recently lose a very disappointing game to the Denver Broncos, the refs played a large role in the Patriots defeat. The Patriots have also had horrible luck this year with injuries, such as their defensive stars Jamie Collins and Don’t’a Hightower missing a few weeks each. On the offensive end, they have suffered several injuries as well, such as dangerous weap-ons like Danny Amendola, Julian Edelman, Dion Lewis and even Rob Grownkowski. However, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have been together for 15 years and have been to six Super Bowls and nine confer-ence finals with competition much tougher. They are my clear favorite in the AFC with very few threats to them. The Bengals have also been great all season, however, Andy Dalton and Company are yet to win a playoff game. The Bengals, to me, don’t have nearly enough firepower to beat the Patriots in a playoff game. Other threats include the Steelers and the Broncos, however, without a healthy Peyton Manning, I don’t believe that a young QB

with little experience named Brock Osweiler can lead the team past the Patriots, even though they did beat

them in a regular season game and even though they have an extremely talented defense. I give the Steelers the best chance to beat the reigning Super Bowl champs. They have a stellar running game with Deangelo Wil-liams and a veteran QB at the end of his prime, with two Super Bowls under his belt and a ton of weapons to throw to. In the NFC, it is much more confusing. To most, the Carolina Panthers would be the favorites and they should be. However, I believe the Seahawks are going to win four of their last five games and finish 10-6 to make wild card and make the playoffs.

This pick was a much tougher one, as there are five legiti-mate Super Bowl contenders in the NFC: the Packers, the Panthers, the Seahawks, the Cardinals and the Vikings. The Seahawks undoubted-ly have the most talent, and when they start to click, they are unbe-lievable. However, I would not be surprised if the Cardinals come out of the NFC, even with Chris John-son out for six to eight weeks. They are still a very complete football team. With a fast and hard-hitting defense and two ball-hawks such as Tyraun Mathieu and Patrick Peter-son and the #1 offense in football, they are the biggest threat to the Seahawks. The Packers have been in a slump and Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been himself. The Panthers also deserve a lot of credit. However, in a playoff game I don’t believe they’re going to be competing like an 11-0 team against the Cardinals or Seahawks. The Vikings are a very promising team, yet I am not sold on their passing attack, even with a young talented Teddy Bridgewater. My prediction for the big game sees a rematch of Super Bowl 49 with the New England Patriots versus the Seattle Seahawks and what a game it will be.

The LCC Juvenile Girls Soccer Team had a very successful season. Going into the playoffs with a 3-3 record, the Ju-venile Girls were optimistic. In the first round of the playoffs (Quarter Finals), the Juvy Girls played John Rennie High School, beating them 1-0 to move on to the second round of the playoffs and the Semi-finals. In the Semi-finals, the LCC Girls faced off against St-Thomas. In a tough matchup, the Juvenile Girls ended up victorious, beating them 1-0 in a close game. Next up were the finals. The girls had to play Beaconsfield High School. The LCC Girls Soccer Team out-played Beconsfield High School in the finals and beat them 2-1 to win the GMAA Juvenile Girls Soccer Banner with Emma Margles meriting the MVP title. They certainly ended their season strong with a great win representing LCC.

SPORTS LCC IN ACTION

Football season for the Lions has come to an end, but the memories will last forever. The Lions started off the season winning their first game. Following this victory, they proceeded to lose the following three games. With a 1-3 record, the Lions

were going to have a tough time to make a playoff push. There were three games left and all of them would have to be won. The Juvenile Boys Football Team practiced hard and played harder and ended up winning the last three games of the reg-ular season to make their playoff push come true, after much hard work and dedication. Unfortunately, the Juvenile Boys Football Team season came to an end after a loss to Loyola in the first round of the playoffs.

The Juvenile Boys hockey season has just started and the team is off to a successful start. So far, they are 1-0-1 in the season, tying Regina Assumpta 2-2 in their first game of the season and winning their second against Loyola 3-1. They have also already won a hockey tournament as they went to Bishops and beat Loyola in the finals 3-2, scoring the winning goal with 15 seconds left to seal the victory.

So, what’s The Martian About? The Martian, based on the novel of the same name by Andy Weir, takesplace on Mars, where astronaut Mark Watney, played by Matt Damon, is abandoned by his crew members (because they think he is dead) and left on Mars. Watney wakes up only to find himself alone on Mars without enough food or water left for such a long period of time. Before continuing, I just have to give a huge shout out to Matt Damon. Personally, this was the best acting that I have ever seen by him. Everything he did was on the money. Apart from Damon, the film didn’t exactly have a star-studded cast, however, they still got the job done. Throughout the film, director Ridley Scott has you on the edge of your seat for every new scene. Indeed, there was never a moment of boredom, and I was always intrigued to see what would happen next. Indeed, when Watney begins to think of ways to save himself, his brain goes into overdrive, and the audien-ce realizes the brilliance that he brings to the screen. His intelligence is insane. The different methods he comes up with for survival will blow your mind. If it weren’t for his smarts and insightfulness, he probably wouldn’t have lasted more than a week on Mars. My final verdict on The Martian is that it’s a must see, and I encourage everyone who hasn’t seen it yet to go see it. Iam not going to lie; I was quite hesitant at first to go see the movie, but after the first 20 minutes, I knew I was in for a thri-lling ride. This movie really took flight, or should I say blast off.

Spectre was really not even close to being one of my favorite James Bond films. In fact, it was a poor excuse for a Bond movie. For starters, the film lacked a good storyline; although it was action packed, this doesn’t really make up for the awful plot it was based on. Daniel Craig really missed the target with this one. I really am a big fan of his and I did enjoy the other Bond films he made, but I think this was merely a way for James Bond and Daniel Craig to go their separate ways. Initially, I was quite excited when I saw that Chris toph Waltz was cast as the villain. I thought he would contribute to making a great movie. Unfortu- nately, as much I love him, it kills me to say that he also contributed to the problem, simply because he was not in it enough. I will admit, however, that the plot twist at the end of the film was quite good. Director Sam Mendes certainly experienced every director’s worst nightmare in that he directe a bomb. I really expected more from him, given that he also directed Skyfall. I thought what could go wrong. However, my quick smile and excite ment in the theatre were lost after the first hour when I knew that I was sitting down to watch a bomb explode.

Let’s start with my favourite of the three, “The Flash.” Already, I am sure the name has intrigued you in the same way it did to me when I started watching around a year ago. But if it hasn’t, hopefully my mildly detailed but “non-spoiler” description will do the trick. Basically, the show takes place in a modern day New York type city called Central City, kind of like a Gotham City but a lot less dark and mysterious. The show follows a man named Barry Allen, who receives super speed after a particle accelerator explodes and a bolt of lighting strikes him. When Barry awakes from a long coma, he is brought to a facility called S.T.A.R. Labs where he is informed about his powers and offered help by a team of scientists who eventually become his

friends and “teammates.” When Barry and the team

realize that the particle accelerator did not solely affect Barry, they must work together to capture all of the other people in Central City who have powers that are being used for destruction. Cisco, a scientist on the team, decides to call these people Meta Humans, which is only semi important, but, for me, super cool. The storyline developed like this for the entire first season and it

is now well into its second season, which has already released seven episodes and will release around 15 more until the season is over. What personally draws me to this show, besides the explosions and really cool super powers some of the Meta Humans have, is the contin-uous suspenseful cliffhangers with which each episode ends. When you truly love a show, you want to know all of the answers, and yet, produc-ers never reveal them right away, or even ever, and rightfully so, because it is these mysterious moments that really make you think about and ap-preciate the show you are watching. It is by far one of the best series on TV that I have seen to date, and I watch a lot of TV. I give it 9.3/10. I’d give it 10/10 but that would sound a little unprofessional.

Since the invention of the television, many TV shows have become monster hits over the years, bringing out a variety of emotions from people, while at the same time demonstrating what it truly means to be addicted to something. Believe me when I say that there is nothing more dangerous than TV shows. This is not to say that the message they convey is bad or that the content is not suitable for all ages, but because of how insanely incredible some of these TV shows really are. Personally, since I started following multiple TV series, I find myself having to fit in time for homework and even a social life, as these shows have basically taken over every other aspect of my life. All that being said, I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. It is just so amusing to watch the lives of made up characters, knowing that soon there will be a major plot twist, or a surprising character appearance that just gives you the chills. So, I guess it is very safe to say that I am obsessed with TV shows. However, that being said, the way I see it, no one wants to be obsessed with something all by themselves, because then you have no one with whom to share your obsession. So, what I want to do is share with you three TV series that I am currently hooked on as I watch these shows every opportunity I get.

Next, let’s talk about “The League.” Even though it isn't my favourite show, it is 100% the funniest show I've ever seen. The characters are so relatable and the show is very easy to follow, so every episode is enjoyable. One specific thing that differentiates it from many of the top watched shows these days is that rather than each episode being around 45 minutes long, each episode lasts for about 25 minutes, making the stories short and sweet. “The League” takes place in Chicago, and revolves around six friends and their fantasy football league, as well as their lives when they aren't playing fantasy football. All of the characters chip in to make the show great, so there are not necessarily any charac-ters that should be particularly liked or disliked. This is an easy show to binge watch. It is on Season 7 now, but sadly, this will probably be the last. One thing is for sure, though. Your life will be a lot more entertaining if you start watching this show.

THE LEAGUE

AMERICAN HORROR STORYFinally, let’s talk about “American Horror Story.” If the title was not evident enough, this show is drop dead scary. With Season 5 Episode 5 coming out only last week, this show has delivered four full seasons to make its mark of terror on me, and trust me, it has done the job. The way AHS works is that every season takes place in a different type of setting. For example, the second season takes place in

an insane asylum, and the fifth season takes place in a haunted hotel. Although each season is set in different places and time periods, the director announced that every season is connected in one way or another, which makes watching every episode much more interesting, as you are constantly looking for any possible connections. Even though the show is known for how scary it is, I personally applaud the show on how good all of the

actors and actresses are. They really help bring the show to life and help scare you half to death. Obviously, if you hate being frightened, do not watch this show, but I really recom-mend it to anyone looking for not only a really interesting show to watch, but also a good scare.

Garth Stein, the author of the award-winning best-seller The Art of Racing in The Rain visited LCC approximately a month ago. He delivered speeches, hosted a Q & A, and signed books. His novel is an emotional, tear-inducing story told by a dog named Enzo, who spends his days contemplating the meaning of life, its philosophies and its legends. Now, his novel has sold over 4 million copies, has been translated into 35 languages, and has spent over three years on the New York Times Bestseller List. So, what inspired him to write this novel? His initial idea for The Art of Racing in The Rain was taken from a Mongolian film he’d seen nearly 15 years before, mentioning a local legend whereby dogs were believed to be reincarnated into men. He was further incited to write from the perspective of a dog after he attended Billy Collins’ reading of The Revenant, a

poem told from the perspective of a dog who had been recently euthanized and come back to tell his master nothing but one thing, that he had never liked him… not one bit. Stein loved this poem and knew immediately that he had to write a book told from the standpoint of a dog who knew he would be reincarnated as a human. The rest of the story came from his personal experiences. The racing came from his own, and Denny’s crisis was taken from one of his friends who had experienced similar issues. This is definitely interesting and gives a lot of information on how authors may incorporate their experiences into their work. During his talk, Stein answered many questions, and explained his background and how he writes. Stein did not simply become a writer overnight; he said that the only way to get better at writing is by writing, not by thinking of writing or reading, but by writing. He is, in a way, a jack of many trades and a

master of some. Stein’s first job was as a documentary producer, which he quickly grew tired of due to the absurd amount of time spent on raising funds for a small outcome. He then pursued creative writing and at one time even taught at the Tacoma School of The Arts. He moved from New York City to Seattle in 2001 and became involved with “high per-formance driver education,” which he called “a fancy way of saying learning how to drive a car really fast on a race track,” and, of course, he had his share of success in that as well. After receiv-ing his racing license in 2004 with the Sports Cars Club of America (SCCA), he went on to win the points championship in the Northwest

Region Spec Miata class. Ironically, he had to abandon his passion after wrecking his car while racing in the rain (Maybe he should have called the book, The Art of Crashing in The Rain, or The Art of Wrecking Cars in The Rain). So, Stein stuck with writing, and it ended up paying off nicely. His now world-renowned novel was initially scoffed at by his agents and did not seem to bear any hope for success. Oddly enough, Stein found that success by going to a fundraiser and meeting a writer who had been in exactly the same situation, where nobody wanted to publish his novel, and whose current agent turned out to be interested in novels written from the perspectives of animals. It is interesting to see how sometimes answers to dilemmas can be found where one would not expect them to be, and things that no-body believes in can have such a great potential

for success. Stein has written three novels and two plays, and his skill in writing is mainly attributed to his interestingly structured process; it is also the process that he likes the most in writing. In his view, the process of writing has two layers. The first, he compared to a fat baby. “Yes, every good novel starts as a big, fat baby.” The second is the phase of refinement, where the objective of the good draft is for it to be “nice and lean.” It is worth noting that this is similar to James Elli-son’s (Author of Finding Forrester) quote: “You write your first draft with your heart, and you rewrite with your head.” He shows his expertise in writing

through his arsenal of literary techniques, such as double binds, the style of placing these devices that he calls metaphorical “guns,” which will go off by the end of the story, and making it so the reader will know the outcome of the story by the end of the first chapter. Some may disagree with his philosophies on writing, and yet he and some other authors see them in a very different light. Garth is also a very spontaneous writer. For example, one of the most memorable scenes from the novel, referred to most commonly as the “zebra scene”, was actually a complete acci-dent. Different from his main approach where the story is very structured, he also likes to take detours and let his imagination ramble on, sim-ply out of curiosity as to where it might take the story next, which is what makes the process of writing truly exhilarating for him.

1. Hello

2. Colorby HalseyHalsey’s lyrics are always powerful, and when backed by a minimalist voice, they are really shown off. “Colors” is a powerful, melancholy, drum-driven song that talks about Halsey’s friend’s (who is rumoured to be the lead singer of the 1975) strug-gles with life and depression, and trying to cope with them.

3.Like Real People Doby Hozier I performed a song by Hozier at Café Cabaret last year, and he is another one of my (wait for it) favorite British singer-songwrit-ers (:P). This song is beautiful-ly written, and in it he talks about how ridiculous mainstream me-dia has changed things like regu-lar life, and how he just wants to act “Like Real People Do.”

4. Let it Goby James BayAnother British singer-songwrit-er who has an incredibly cool, raspy tone to his voice is James Bay, who had fame with his song “Hold Back the River.” “Let it Go” (although not a cover from Frozen) shows off his songwrit-ing abilities in a different, almost sadder, tone, and his voice suits the song perfectly.

5.Did you Hear the Rain?by George EzraGeorge Ezra is one of my favor-ite artists, a Brit-ish singer-song-writer (get ready for a few more of them) with an amazing, deep voice. This is especially show-cased in this track, due to the deep, solo part at the beginning. However, the soulful aspect to his voice shines through for the entire duration of the song.

The lyrics, penned by Adele as well as Greg Kurstin (a frequent collaborator of hers), surpass expectations, and are almost as impressive as the hits already in her repertoire (i.e. “Someone Like You” and “Set Fire to the Rain”) She tells a tale of heartbreak, which she brought about herself, and how she wants to make it right, but she can’t.

Although not as instantly catchy as her other songs, the fact that “Hello” debuted at #1 on Billboard is enough to show that it will be a classic nonetheless.

MUSICMINUTE

by AdeleThis month’s article is about about “Hello,” by Adele. I’m assuming that you’ve heard the song, since LCC students definitely don’t live under rocks (at least not ones that don’t have wi-fi), so I’m just going to go straight into it. If you haven’t heard it, do yourself a favour and find it on Youtube. Please.

Adele is back after three years, so what would we expect, other than a ridiculously vocally challenging song that tugs at the heartstrings constantly? Obviously, she delivers and then some with this track. Adele’s voice is as beautiful as ever, showing off a deeper side to it that is amazing, and she hits more and more ridiculous notes on each track, culminating in some of the most technically masterful runs ever. She has such insane control over her voice, and conveys so much emotion with these wordless notes than I ever thought was possible.

After a decade-long drought in the not-so distant future, a government ban has

been placed on private toilets, and the poor are forced to pay to use public restrooms owned by the oppressive company, The Urine Good Company. In no time at all, a revolution breaks out and the world is changed forever. Despite the…interesting title, Urinetown the Musical is a fantastic romp from beginning to end. Yes, the premise is set around people who are legal-ly banned from public urination, but the true message of the musical goes much deeper than that. This satirical masterpiece is a comedy for all ages that pokes fun at a society that revolves

around large corporations as well as the musical genre itself. Unlike most shows, the characters in Urinetown often break the fourth wall hilar-iously to poke fun at the ridiculous scenarios that one only finds in classical musicals. No show is safe from their clever, tongue-in-cheek commentary, and in the first act alone, they make subtle digs at Annie, Evita, West Side Story, Les Miserables, and even themselves! By the end of the show, my sides hurt from laugh-ing so much. It is equal parts outrageous as it is wonderfully unforgettable. (Also, a wonderful production by The Studio Players is available on YouTube for your viewing pleasure)

This is an older musical, but one that defi-nitely still holds its own. Going off of the

theme of family, Blood Brothers is a musical that revolves around the age-old question of nature vs. nurture. In the musical, two twin brothers, Mickey and Eddie, are separated at birth and are raised in two radically different households. They meet again in childhood, unaware of the fact that they are related, and

find themselves at two opposite ends of the social spectrum. As they grow older and their lives unfold, their friendship is truly put to the test by the hands of fate. This musical is a whirlwind of emotion, all narrated by a moving soundtrack and supported by a killer ensemble. While I would love to tell you all more, this is one of those shows where, the less you know about it, the better. :)

1.PROCRASTINATE MODERATELY You heard me right the first time; procrastinate MODERATELY, with the emphasis on moderately. Let’s face it, in our day and age, it is practically impossible not to procrastinate, and whether your definition of procrastina-tion is an accidental 10-hour Netflix binge or “Whoops, I just rearranged all my books in alphabetical order by height and by thickness,” the key is not to be excessive. Studies show that one way of combatting long episodes of procrastination is actually by adding an enjoyable activity before work (a small ‘sesh’ of procrastination) into your routine. This activity can be anything, including the non-exhaustive list of watching an episode of Grey’s Anatomy, eating your favourite snack or working out for an hour, but as long as you tell yourself “I will do my homework once I've *insert activity here*,” the successful completion of said fun activity will signal your brain that it's time to get down to business and you'll feel much more motivated and inclined to work.

EXAM TIPS

Guys, we all know what time of the year it is … Christmas! Get into the festive spirit and let’s celebrate! But we also know that before we reach December 25th, exams are right around the corner. That’s right. As much as yours truly would also like to sweep this dreadful time of the year under the rug, it’s better if we just confronted it head on. With that said, here are three (hopefully unobvious) tips to help you succeed!

2.KEEP THE CO-CURRICULARS If you were thinking of dropping your after school activities in favour of studying, think again. It’s true that having these activities may seem overwhelming and stressful during exam week, but they ac-tually help keep you organized and on top of your game. A lot of students have trouble with time management and they end up cramming the night before - ex-tracurricular activities will do just the opposite. Having extracurricular activities will force you to revaluate your schedule and study habits. And trust me, you’d be surprised by just how much free time you actually have on your hands! Plus, it’s scientifically proven that students are more receptive and learn better after physical activity. So definitely don’t cut out the sports during exam week! And the general trend is that people who are physically fit also seem to be intellectu-ally fit as well!

3.SLEEP (obviously? Apparently not, because no one does it) Sleep is NOT for the weak, so sleep for a week. Because no one seems to give sleep enough credit to sleeping at least 8 hours a day, so let’s hammer it in. The worst about sleep deprivation is the fact that it not only messes completely with your concentration, your mood, your ability to retain information, but also your electrolyte levels - it can increase your appetite! Furthermore, sleep deprivation accumulates, so the extra hours you get sleep-ing in on the weekends just might not be enough to make up for your sleep-less weekday nights.

TASTE

MetropoleGourMet

Sushi Ste-Catherine1801 Rue Ste-Catherine Ouest

Montreal, QC H3HPhone: (514) 938-8688

In the middle of downtown Montreal lies a haven with colorful lights, wooden and glass walls, and the subtle fragrance of rice. Asian songs soothe the ears as the guests scribble down the numbers of their favorite Japanese dishes. Indeed, with only $20 to $30 (plus taxes), a client can order as many delicacies as he or she wishes. The “eat-all-you-can” Sushi Ste-Cather-ine always serves succulent dishes that make me nostalgic for days gone by.

What is “sushi” plus “pizza”? “Sushi Pizza”, of course! The restaurant has four types of this creative dish. My favorite, Crab Meat Pizza, is a fried rice pie topped with slices of crab meat mixed with mayonnaise, all covered by golden fried bread crumbs, fish eggs, and sweet Japanese mayonnaise. The topping fills the mouth with just the exact ratio of crunchiness to softness. The pie itself is crusty with a soft sur-prise inside.

A typical appetizer at another restaurant might be a Caesar salad, a garden salad, a three-bean salad, but not here. Now, how about a seaweed salad? A beautiful mixture of differ-ent types of seaweed decorated with toasted sesame seeds, the salad has a slightly crispy texture that just makes you want to chew the seaweed forever. The greatest wonder happens when your teeth break a sesame seed and an oily explosion of flavor gradually invades your mouth.

Aside from the soft drinks, the restaurant has a great variety of soups, each with distinct ingredients and flavours. Taste “Osaka” in a bowl, and then enjoy the flavour of “Tokyo.” Here is Japan in the form of noodles. If the country of manga captivates you, then have a “taste” of its culture at Sushi Ste-Catherine. If you want to discover even more about the marvelous world of food, read Metropole Gourmet – Live in the next issue of The Wire. Jaa ne!

Capricorn: Lucky you! Capricorn can be the perfect soul mate if you are more on the lazy side. They are very self-conscious, so don’t ever make fun of them. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Cancer: Cancers are always waiting to find the one they truly trust. Be direct and that subtle and moody crab will come out of its shell more quickly!
