Have you had a disagreement with somebody lately?

Did you consider your side the only correct

side of the story?

Did you consider his/her viewpoint objectively? Or did

you rush into your own judgement about his/her side?

Do you think winning an argument more important

than restoringgood relations?

Generally people choose asmarriage partners, people who

complement us. But later on we discover that these opposite characteristics can also cause

conflicts.

You can not eliminate conflicts,

therefore how can we solve them when they arise?

Always remember that we are not opponents but we

are team members?

You can loseby winning?

Don’t try to change your spouse—

change you.

What is reconciliation?

It is not toleration but removal of sin

Romans 5:6-11You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:6-11Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God's wrath through him! For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more,

Romans 5:6-11having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation. (NIV)

Three steps of Reconciliation:

1.Admit the cause of conflict.

James 5:16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.(NIV)

2. Ask forforgiveness

Ephesians 4:31-32Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.(NIV)

3.Affirm love for one another.

Galatians 6:1Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.(NIV)

How to avoidconflicts?

We must feel and

have the love of God

We must be humble.

Be intimate with one another

Be transparent with one another.

Don’t discuss difficult things when one partner is tired.

Be aware of each

other’s mood
