New Iberia, LA – The Louisiana Used Motor Vehicle Commission (LUMVC) held an Administrative Hearing on November 28, 2016, on Casandra Richard, individually and dba Ms. Gator’s Auto Sales located at 2409 Highway 14, New Iberia, LA. This dealership was assessed fines for the following violations: One hundred dollars and no/100 ($100.00) each for forty-two (42) counts in violation of La. R.S. 32:792(B)(8) Engaging in the practice of failing to delivery certificates of title to a consumer within the time limitations prescribed in R.S. 32:705. One hundred dollars and no/100 ($100.00) each for seventeen (17) counts of LA R.S. 32:792(B)(9) Failing to submit any monthly sales report to Motor Vehicle Audit by the twentieth day of the following month. Five hundred dollars and no/100 ($500.00) Casandra Richard and Gilbert Richard are required to attend the Commission’s training seminar within ninety (90) days of this order. Five hundred dollars and no/100 ($500.00) for all costs of the investigation and administrative hearing. The Used Motor Vehicle Dealer licenses issued for CASANDRA RICHARD, INDIVIDUALLY AND MS. GATOR’S AUTO SALES AND GILBERT RICHARD are placed on probation for a period of one year from the date of this Order during which they shall not violate any laws or rules related to the sale of used motor vehicles. The fines and costs herein shall be suspended on the condition that the probationary period is successfully completed and the seventeen (17) monthly sales reports are filed with the Office of Motor Vehicles.

JUDGEMENT: $6,400.00 Fine
