— Travel Album & Notebook Set —

Directions: Step 1 – Clips

Select three small stickers, mount on yellow stripe paper and trim. (Cut pieces from the bottom of the paper.) Trace the matted sticker pieces on the same paper and trim. Place the matted sticker piece face down and place the top of the paper clip to the lower part of the piece to determine spacing (the double loops of the paperclip should be at the bottom), apply an ample amount of quick dry liquid adhesive. Add the remaining coordinating piece on top.

*Apply pressure until the adhesive has bonded. Set aside.

Notes: •Measurementsarewidthxheightunlessspecified.•Ink paper edges with blending tool before adhering.•Using a brayer helps spread liquid adhesive evenly.•The front or “A” side of the paper is the prominent designyouseewhenflippingthruthecollection,the back of the papers are referred to as “B-sides”.

•Round corners when you are mounting to pages that have rounded corners.

Step 2 – Inside Cover

Untie and remove Elastic belly band. Set aside. Cut two 4¼” x 6¼” mats from yellow stripe paper. Using the two 4” x 6” green parrot ephemera cards, adhere one face up and the other face down on the mats. Adhere the

green parrot card to the left pocket page. Note: you will slide the matted piece slightly into the pocket. Using the remaining card slide slightly into pocket to determine spacing. Holding, or tacking, the card in place, flipthenotebookover and trace the hole shape onto the back of the paper. Punch hole (note: you may have to do extra trimming of the punched hole to fit).Adheretotheinside cover.

Cut two 4¼” x 3¼” pieces from red

floralpaper,roundthe bottom left

corner on one and the bottom right

on the other. Using a 1½ circle punch (or by tracing the shape),findthe

center of the pocket cover and punch,

or cut, a half circle. Apply 1 ⁄8” score tape

to the back of the pocket covers on the

bottom and sides, adhere. Using the “Hello Sunshine”

and white cockatoo 4” x 3” ephemera

cards. Apply 1 ⁄8” score tape to the

back of each on the bottom and sides, adhere to the red pocket covers.

Fold the 6” x 4” pink parrot

ephemera card in half to create

a mini card.

Once the front covers are done insert the card into one of the cover pockets then add extra ephemera pieces as shown.

Step 3 - Front Cover

Cut two 4½” x 8½” pieces fromgreenfloralpaper.One will be used for the

back cover, set aside. For front, round the corners

on the right, adhere.

Cut one 4¼” x 6¼” mat from red pattern paper, round corners. Adhere 4” x 6” toucan ephemera card to mat.

Flip the mat over and draw a line 1” from the bottom.

Cut three vertical 1” x 3” strips from yellow

stripe paper, cut a “v” shape at the bottom of each to create a banner.

Arrange banner pieces and adhere. Add the piece to the front over.




Punch three 1¼” circles from the blue typography. Punch three 1” circles fromredfloralpaper.Adhere the red circles to the center of the blue circles using foam adhesive. Adhere to the tops of each banner.

*Note – If you do not have circle punches, you can use other small circular shapes with the same dimensions to create the circles. Buttons, bottle caps, etc.

Step 4 - Back CoverUsing the remaining

4½” x 8½” mat, round the corners on the

left. Prior to adhering, line it up on the cover

and trace the hole shape onto the paper.

Punch hole (note: you may have to do

extra trimming of the punchedholetofit).Adhere to the cover.

Step 5 - SpineCut one 1½” x 7¼” strip from yellow stripe paper, adhere. Add parrot tag sticker from the sticker sheet.

Step 6 - Belly Band Cover

Return the elastic bellyband to the album and tie.

Cut two 4½” x 2½” pieces from red pattern paper. Adhere

“Paradise is Not a Place, It’s a State of Mind” sticker from the

sticker sheet to one of the pieces, trim a thin border around the

design. Using the second piece place the trimmed design on top,

trace and trim. Using the newly traced design add strong thin tape to the top

and bottom of the piece leaving

space in the center. (*If your tape does

not have a non-stick backing be careful not to adhere both

top and bottom before attaching

around the band.) Adhere the design

with the sticker piece to the top. Slide the trimmed design over the elastic band, adhere the bottom pieces.

Step 7 - Notebook CutsNotebook Covers: Cut six 4” x 8” cover pieces: (2) redfloral,(2) yellow typography and (2) blue typography.

Cut three 1” x 8” vertical strips from

greenfloralpaper.Eachnotebook cover has one

strip. Cut three 3¼” x 4¼” mats from (2) red floral,(1)yellowstripe.

Inside Notebook Pocket Cover: Cut six 4” x 8” pieces: (2) red pattern, (2) yellow typography and (2) blue stripe. You will use two designs per notebook.

•Notebook1:redpatternandyellowtypography.•Notebook2:yellowtypographyandbluestripe.•Notebook3:bluestripeandredpattern.




Slide one of each design into the front pocket, trace pocket design, cut. Repeat for the back pocket. Each Notebook will have pocket pages with the same shape, but different papers.

Step 8 - Notebook One

Add4”x8”redfloralcover pieces to the covers, add green strip to center of front cover. Add the 3” x 4” black parrot ephemera card to the 3¼” x 4¼” yellow mat, adhere to center of cover.

Inside Pocket Pages -From Step 7 add red

pattern and yellow typography pieces to

the inside covers. The front cover will have

red pattern at the top and yellow typography

on the pocket. The back cover will have yellow typography at the top and red on the pocket.

Page 1 – Cut a 7¼” strip from black washi

and add to the left side of page. Using the “Paradise is a State of Mind” and the orange

scalloped borders from the sticker sheet cut an

8” strip and adhere on top of the washi. Add a

large clear pocket to the lower right side of the

page so that the opening of the pocket is on the

right. Insert 3” x 4” pinkflamingoephemera

card, or memorabilia into the clear pocket. Add the “Don’t Worry Be Happy”

sticker to the top left page so that it covers the three strips as shown.

Page 2 – Add an 8” strip of washi to the left side of the page. Adhere the sticker with the two white cockatoos from the sticker sheet across the top center of page. Trim a 3” piece ofwashitofitontheleft side of the 4” x 3” “Welcome to the Jungle” ephemera card. Adhere half

of the washi on the card leaving the other half free. Adhere the card to the center of the two pages so that the card’s edge is in the crease of the book. Fold the card back and apply a second 3” strip of washi to the right edge of the card as done in the previous step. Flip the card so the “Welcome to the Jungle” image is showing. Using the sticker sheet, trim a 3¾” strip from the “Paradise is a State of Mind” border, adhere vertically over the center of the washi that connects the card to the page. Page 3 – From the sticker sheet, trim a 5½” strip from the “Just Live” yellow scallop border, adhere vertically over the center of the washi that connects the card to the page. From the sticker sheet, wrap half of the round scallop edge pineapple sticker around the bottom right side of the page.




Step 9 – Notebook Two

Add 4” x 8” yellow typography cover pieces to the covers, add green strip to center of front cover. Add the 3” x 4” “Scenic Route” ephemera card to the 3¼” x 4¼” red mat, adhere to center of cover.

Inside Pocket Pages

– From step 7 add yellow typography

and blue stripe pieces to the inside

covers. The front cover will have

yellow typography at the top and

blue stripe on the pocket. The back

cover will have blue stripe at the

top and yellow typography on the pocket. Using a red piece of scrap paper, adhere round

toucan sticker from the sticker sheet and trim using decorative edge scissors. Determine the placing of the sticker on the pocket, add adhesive diagonally across

the lower left side of the sticker, add to the center of thepocketpage.Usingthefloralborderwiththeblack

backgroundfromthestickersheet,trimtofitthebottom of the pocket cover, adhere.

Page 1 (shown above) – Cut 7” of washi and place vertically on paper trimmer so the center is where the blade runs, cut in half. Trim to 2¼”, 2¾” and 2”. Cut the ends at an angle as shown and adhere the 2¼” and 2¾” across the top, left of the page. Cut the end of the remaining piece at an angle as shown, adhere across the bottom right corner of the page. Cut a strip ofthefloralborderwiththeblackbackgroundfromthestickersheetandtrimtofitthetopofthepagebelowtheblackwashi.Add“Par•a•dise…”stickertothetopleft side of the page over the washi and border sticker. Add two small clear pockets to the right of the page.

Page 2 – From the sticker sheet trim a 5½” strip from the red

andyellowfloralborder,adherevertically ½” from the left side of

the page. Adhere the round green parrot sticker from the sticker

sheet at the top of the border sticker on the left as shown. Cut a 3” strip of washi adhere half of

it to the top of the 4” x 6” “Live in theSunshine…”ephemeracard.

Attach card to the top of the page,flipandapplyanother3”

strip of washi, center so it is on the card and page.

Page 3 - Cut a 4” x 1” strip from yellow typography, cut a “v” on the left side and add to bottom right side of page. Add “The Scenic Route” pinkflamingolabelsticker to the lower right side of the page on top of the yellow strip.

Step 10 - Notebook Three

Add 4” x 8” blue typography cover pieces to the covers, add green strip to center of front cover. Add the 3” x 4” pink flamingoephemeracardto the 3¼” x 4¼” red mat, adhere to center of cover.

Inside Pocket Pages - From Step 7 add red pattern and blue stripe pieces to the inside covers. The front

cover will have blue stripe at the top and red pattern on the pocket. The back cover will have red pattern at the top and blue stripe on the pocket. Page 1 – Cut a¾”x6”verticalstripfromredfloralpaper,cutanangle at the bottom and adhere ¾” from the left side of page. Cut a 1” x 5” vertical strip from blue typography paper, cut an angle at the bottom, adhere 3 ⁄8” from the leftsideoftheredfloralstrip.Trimthe3”x4”“Thisis




my Happy Place” ephemera card down to the yellow border. Option: trim around the leaves for extra interest. Add to the upper left side of the page just over the red and blue strips using washi tape.

Page 3 – Cut a 3” x 7” piece from green

pattern paper, trim the bottom with decorative

edge scissors. Attach using a 3¼” strip of

washi. From the sticker sheet, cut a 3¾” strip

from the orange scallop border, place across the

top of the washi. Lift green pattern piece and

addapinkflamingostickerlabelfrom the sticker sheet just beneath

the top of the piece.

Fold piece down. Add the white-cockatoos 4” x 3” ephemera using washi.

Step 11 – File Folders

Cut three 6¼” x 9” pieces (1) redfloral(1)bluestripeand(1)greenpattern.Cutthefilefolder template from the paper pad cover, trace the design ontotheB-sidesofredfloral,blue stripe and green pattern papers and cut. Fold in half to formaminifilefolder.

Add the 4” x 6” “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”

ephemera card to the insideoftheredfloralfolder, then add the 4”

x 3” “Welcome to the Jungle” ephemera card

to the outside of the folder. Add the 4” x 6”

pink cockatoo ephemera card to the inside of the

blue stripe folder,

add the 4” x 3” “This is my Happy Place” ephemera card to the outside of the folder. Add the 4” x 6” “Do Not Go Where the Path May Lead” ephemera card to the inside of the green pattern folder, then add the 4” x 3” “Hello Sunshine” ephemera card to the outside of the folder.

You are now ready to add your notebooks to the album. Open the notebook so that the center with the staples is visible, slide under the elastic band. Repeat process to

addthefilefolder.Addpaperclips.




Place paper back in the

trimmer on its side so that the

longer scored area is on the right. The left side should be at 10¾”, trim.

Where there are double scor lines (they will form a long rectangle), cut down to the nearest scor line. You can use a trimmer or scissors.


Lost in Paradise — One-Page Folding Mini Album


Directions: Step 1: From the following papers cut:•Yellowstripes:two35 ⁄8” x 3¼” and one 3½” x 3¼” •Redpattern:two35 ⁄8” x 17 ⁄8” and one 3½” x 17 ⁄8” •Greenpattern:two35 ⁄8” x 4¾” and one 3½” x 4¾”•Redfloral:one3½” x 1” strip

Step 2

Using a 12” x 12” piece of ivory cardstock, scor at 3¾”, 4”, 77 ⁄8” and 81 ⁄8”.

Turn the paper 90° degrees and scor at 21 ⁄8” and 7¼”. Fold and burnish all scor lines (shown below left).

Add adhesive to the sides of each pocket (bottom threeflaps,fold upward and attach to base to form a pocket. Round both

Step 3

Adhere the 3½” x 3¼”

yellow stripe pocket cover

to the left pocket, add

the remaining two 35 ⁄8” x

3¼”tothecenterandrightpockets.Foldtheflapsdown,roundthebottomcornersoftheredpatternflap

pieces. Adhere the 3½” x 17 ⁄8”piecetotheflapontheleft,addtheothertwotothecenterandrightflaps.

Step 4

Turn album over and adhere ribbon across the back, middle cover. Adhere the 35 ⁄8” x 4¾” green pattern

piece on top. Move the ribbon so the other pages are clear. Add the other 35 ⁄8” x 4¾” piece to the left side and the 3½” x 4¾” piece to the right side.

Step 5

Select the “Scenic Route”, “Black Cockatoo” and “Just

Live” 3” x 4” ephemera cards. Turn over, apply adhesive to the top 1¼”

section of the cards.

Center the cards on eachflap

and adhere.

Step 6

Turn the album over. You will embellish the cover on the left side. Using the 3½” x 1”stripfromredfloral

paper and the floralwithblackbackground border from the sticker sheet, trim bottom oftheredfloral

paper using decorative edge scissors. Add the sticker ontothetopoftheredfloralstrip,adheretocenterofthe cover.

Adhere yellow “Life

is Beautiful” sticker

to yellow paper, trim a

thin border around the design and

mount to the center of the cover using dimensional foam adhesive. Add yellow

corners from the sticker sheet to the upper left and lower right corners.

Turn over and fold in theleftflap,thentheright. Tie a bow
