SUBJECT: IN-KIND DONATION FOR CANOPY COVER FOR OUTSIDE PARKING AREA FOR APPARATUS

Recommendation: That the Board:

1. Accept a donation from the California Community Foundation (CCF) for the members of Fire Station 104.

Summary: The CCF has donated a Canopy Valance Cover Replacement in the value of $64.47. Pursuant to the Los Angeles Administrative Code, Article 12, Section 5.11 1.4(a), "Receipt of Gifts and Bequests of Personal Property by the Fire Department," provides the authority to the Fire Commission to accept or reject bequests of personal property not exceeding $5,000 in market value.

Fiscal Impact: There is no fiscal impact to the Department's budget in the acceptance of this donation. Members of Fire Station 104 shall be responsible to maintain, repair and or replace said donated item.

Conclusion: The Los Angeles Fire Department benefits tremendously from gracious donations such as that received from the CCF. The Community Liaison Office would like to acknowledge the CCF for their generous donation.

SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR CANOPY UTILIZING ADOPT FIRE STATION FUND

It is respecffully requested that the remaining $64.47 in Fire Station 104's adopt a fire station fund be utilized to purchase a replacement canopy for a carport that was damaged by Santa Ana winds in the parking lot. The purchase has the approval of all three shifts at Fire Station 104. A quote from Abadak Inc. and the W-9 taxpayer id is attached.
