1. The graph reflects testing volume and capacity at City and County-operated COVID-19 community testing sites and the State Optum Serve and Verily Sites. Additional testing volume for Over 50 Additional Testing sites, including CVS, DHS Clinics, and FQHCs are not reflected. Additional testing volume from these other testing sites will be added as data becomes available. Unused capacity includes no shows and unscheduled appointments.
2. Data includes testing done in all settings including: hospitals, clinics, skilled nursing facilities, homeless shelters, etc., in addition to community testing done in drive thru and walk-in sites. Community COVID-19 Testing Need Based on Consideration of Area
Mortality Rate, Testing Rate, and Test Positivity Rate1
11
1. City/Community is categorized based on three variables: 1) Mortality Rate, excluding deaths of residents in skilled nursing facilities, greater or less than 19/100k, 2) Testing rate greater or less than 1.5 tests per 1k individuals per day, and 3) Percent positivity rate greater or less than 8%. **These areas include the following categories: 1) Cities or communities with less than 500 individuals, 2) Low testing rates in areas with low % positive tests or cases which make it hard to determine level of need, or 3) High testing rates in areas with low % positive tests, but non-skilled nursing facility mortality greater than 19/100k, 4) Missing data - Pasadena and Long Beach Departments of Public Health are not yet sharing their data.
