INTRODUCTION The L'Oreal is the world’s largest French cosmetics and
beauty company which has registered office in Paris.

It has developed activities in the field of cosmetics, skin
care, sun protection, make-up, perfumes and hair care.
• In 1909, Eugene Schueller developed a hair dye formula.
• On 31st July 1919, Schueller registered his company.
• In 1950, the teams were 100 strong, the number reached 1000 by 1984 and is nearly 2000 today.
• L’Oreal has six worldwide research and development centers.
• On 17 March 2006, L’Oreal purchased cosmetics company “ Body shop euro 562.
• In November 2012, L’Oreal inaugurated the largest factory in the Jababeka Industrial Park, Indonesia with total investment of USD $ 100 million.
• In 2014, L’Oreal purchased major Chinese beauty brand($840), NYX Cosmetics and Brazilian hair care company
