Special Features: Shiva is electrifying!In this dynamic sculpture, which is anadaptation of his as lord Nataraja, Shivahas departed from his typical position

while dancing on the dwarf of ignorance,Apasmara. He is caught standing onApasmara almost leaping off of histhroat. His right hand is still stretchedacross his chest in the grahasta orelephant trunk position like Nataraja.He holds a knife, shield and agnior firein his other 3 hands. The dwarf is in aposition of collapsing backwards whichgives the sculpture a true feeling ofenergy and action. The base has twocobras carved into it with a trident in themiddle. The back of the base has two

cobras carved into it as well.

About the Dark Stone Sange-Rathek:Sange-rathek is found in Jhansi, in thestate of Bihar, India. The stone is knownfor its wonderful deep black/blue color

About Gorora Stone: Gorora stone or Redmarble is a wonderful stone for sculpture

because of its wide color range. It is rarerthan most soft stones and must be shippedinto Tamil Nadu from Uttar Pradesh in thenorth. The stone has wonderfulcream/yellow/green veins in it contrasting tothe beautiful deep red to sometimes pink

natural coloration of the stone. The stone is

extremely glossy. When a red marble statueis polished it has a disarming shimmer.Care:: Not much is needed to care for this

piece. Simply dust the piece as needed. Ifyou really want it to shine you can use acotton cloth to buff the smooth surfaceswhich really makes it glisten. The statue
