A ter more than 30 years with Loop, its un to look in therearview mirror. Even though each year had its own specialdevelopments, it is clear which products we created that

changed y shing orever and became a unique part o our his-tory and the history o the sport.

Te rst obvious milestone in Loops history is the major in u-ence o Gran Anderssons underhand casting. For the rst time,a certain weight and length o y line cut rom a Loop CustomLine and coupled with a running line gave anglers the possibility to cast even when backed up to the tightest obstruction. Granstechnique has been widely adapted and marketed under slightly

y shing. When we launched these reels in the mid 80s, we weremostly laughed at. It took time or people to accept that the largearbor protects tippets, allows or a aster retrieve and optimizesconsistent braking capability. oday, all y reels have large arbors.

Presently the next big news is the Cross S1 y rod. It is the singlemost signi cant improvement in rod construction since graphiteand we are extremely proud that Loop, a Swedish company, is theonly Scandinavian brand to gain access to the revolutionary new material used in the construction o these rods. However, it isimportant to remember that the material alone does not build therod, but that it allows us to build stronger, lighter, more elastic/easier-to-cast y rods in higher modulus.

T he rods in this series were designed rst and oremost asshing rods. Tey load well even at short distances, they protect even the lightest tippets and are quite simply a

pleasure to play a sh with. At the same time, the most aggressivecasters will discover all the reserve power they need when they press hard and cast long!

Finally, I urge you to try out the rods with Loop y lines. Tey are developed as a unit and the simple act is that it is difcult torealize all the advantages o any great rod i you have the wrong

y line!

CROSS S1 IS BUILT WITH 3M POWERLUX.
