Proposed Vegetation Removal Methodology

Completed Permitting Tasks

A. Collaborated with CDFW, RWQCB, COE, and Coastal Commission.

B. Completed all required biological, cultural, and fish studies/surveys

C. Conducted site visits with State and Federal Regulators.

D. Negotiated Scope of Work

a. Remove non-native vegetation and trees; protect and leave marshland vegetation

b. Install silt skirts/fences and other BMPsc. Heavy equipment to stay on top of the levee; pull out trees and

vegetation from top of levee; fill and compact void using similar or native soil.

d. Remove tree limbs/branches using hand tools.

e. Restore displaced rip-rap to match existing conditions.

E. Finalized and submitted permit applications to CDFW, COE, and RWQCB

F. Provided responses to Agency “Requests for Information”
