ABOUT

The aim of Mihaela Markov ic is creating not only clothes but a li festyle, and al ternat ive to the

excessive consumerism. A hope that each of us can be more sustainable by going against

what the world is forcing us to do ( buy more ). Changing the perception of fashion brands by

not only selling, but also educating. Not focusing on fashion, but on the clothes themselves.

Therefore, these are the specia l unique pieces that can last a li fe time and be passed into

family heirlooms. The forever pieces, clothes that outlive us, clothes that become dearer

to us through the process of wearing.

Emotional durability is one way of fighting against the throwaway culture of nowadays, but I

also use the principles of zero waste while creating such as geometric pattern cutting ( no

waste material ) and seamless knittingusing the most advanced machines available. These

seamless jumpers are then adorned with traditional hand embroideries making unique pro-

ducts that become only better with time, just like good wine.

Al l the pieces are made in Croatia, with the aim of preserving Croatian traditional skills in

knitwear and textile production which have been lost after the fall-out of ex-Yugoslavia.

This is precisely how high qual ity production is ensured in an ethica lly conscious manner whi-

ch enables the customer to know exactly where each product came from, who made it, when

and where.

Encouraging people to buy less, to share, to reuse and to bond with their wardrobe.
