¡Bienvenidos al lookbook #1 de CHULAYA!.

Es un gusto presentar a CHULAYA, el proyecto maker para todas las personas de corazón jóven, 100% hands-on. El proceso de crear puede generar mucha alegría. CHULAYA es diseñada para ser creada por uno mismo; por creadores con ganas de vivenciar esa euforía de hacer, ensamblar, experimentar, concebir y realizar una creación propia o colaborativa.

Al fabricar CHULAYA, dinamizamos habilidades múlti-ples usando tanto tecnologías digitales como técnicas artesanales. Ingresando al C-shop de chulaya.com, se puede descargar las plantillas para fabricar las piezas mediante el cortado láser en los fablabs o makerspa-ces. Sucesivamente, se puede aplicar tejidos y borda-dos a mano por entre sus partes y personalizarla.

Además, chulaya.com ofrece recursos digitales de téc-nicas textiles e inspiración artesanal. Renovar la pasión por el arte textil, así como el mundo imaginario de las maestras artesanas, es un compromiso nuestro.

En este lookbook #1 presentamos los primeros looks de inspiración que hemos diseñado para CHULAYA, o mejor dicho, con CHULAYA teniendo el arte textil

milenario de Perú como referente principal. Incluye de manera muy especial propuestas de diseño indígena desarrolladas por artesanas y jóvenes Shipibo de la selva Peruana cuyo arte textil es sobresaliente.

El potencial de crear con CHULAYA es ilimitado; espe-ramos que despierte su imaginación. Los animamos a elaborar su creación unica. CHULAYA promete ser una experiencia que enriquece las capacidades del siglo XXI en torno a la creatividad-innovación-colaboración.

Welcome to lookbook #1 of CHULAYA!.

We are so pleased to present CHULAYA, a 100% hands-on maker project for everybody young at heart. There is a lot of joy in the act of creation. CHULAYA was made to be made by creators: anybody who wants to experience this delight of fabricating, assembling, experimenting and crafting a personal or group creation.

The making of CHULAYA uniquely unleashes multiple skills related to digital technologies and handmade textile craft. The digital files are available in the C-shop of chulaya.com for self fabrication through lasercutting in a fablab or makerspace. Once assembled, various textile techniques (including knitting, crochet, knotting, embroidery, weaving) can be applied on and around the wooden structure.

Chulaya.com also offers inspirational resources that include digital templates of artesan textiles. Rekindling passion and interest in handmade craft and the imagi-nary realm of master artisans, is a commitment that we take at heart.

Lookbook # 1 of CHULAYA captures a first glimpse of the endless possibilities of creating with our muse. The lookbook is inspired by the millennial textile tradition of

Peru. It includes a feature on indigenous design made especially for CHULAYA by artisans and teens from the Shipibo community in the Amazon, whose intricate textile craft never ceases to amaze.

We hope the lookbook sparks your imagination. We invite you to make your own one-of-a-kind creation of CHULAYA. It is a great way to hone 21st century creati-vity-innovation- collaboration skills.
