Correct use and application of the Milwaukee Area Technical College and MATC logos is essential to present a clear, consistent and professional brand. Please follow these guidelines.

Spark logoThe shorter “spark” logo is more frequently used.

The official logo colors for Milwaukee Area Technical College are blue and orange.

Using the official colors is essential to the MATC brand. Color reproduction can vary with paper stock, printing process and lighting conditions. Matching the MATC colors is very important.

(There are no substitutions for blue and orange in the color formula below.)

The top left spark logo is the acceptable usage with the official colors.Single-color and two-color applications are also shown.The same color usage applies to the signature logo.

CLEAR SPACE AROUND LOGOAREA OF NON-ENCROACHMENT

The logo always needs to appear on a field void of other elements to ensure its visibility and impact. No other graphic or typographic element may encroach on this area (unless the logo is reversed out of a photograph).

The minimum size of this area is indicated by 1x in the diagrams below.

FOR PRINTTIFF (Tagged Image File Format): TIFF files are acceptable for print projects.Files can only be printed up to 8” x 3.5” before degradation of file quality begins to occur.Overall file size is large and not easy to send via email as an attachment.TIFF: Blue-and-orange logo TIFF: Black-and-white logo

The MATC spark logo contains two primary fonts or typefaces.The MA uses the Palatino font, and TC uses the Helvetica condensed italic font.

To complement the logo, the following fonts are recommended.

This section contains approved sub-branding for MATC’s schools. To maintain the integrity of our brand, use only these sub-brands in your communications. No individual department logos are to be created or used.
