The South West Development Commission is proud of its brand and wants to make sure that whenever it’s used, it’s used properly. This logo usage guide has been developed to help ensure
the South West Development Commission’s logo is
correctly represented in all mediums of communication.
The South West Development Commission is a Western
Australian State Government agency, therefore when
supporting events we require the State Government logo
to be displayed with the Commission’s logo in any publicity
and acknowledgements.
Recipients of Royalties for Regions funding are required to
publicly acknowledge the State Government, Royalties for
Regions and the South West Development Commission.
Further information about State Government co-badging

Logo variations
The colour version of the South West Development
Commission’s logo should be used wherever possible. It
should be placed on a white or light colour background for
the greatest definition.
If printing in black and white, and the background is a light
colour, the mono version of the logo should be used. If the
logo is placed on a dark background, the mono negative
logo should be used at all times.
Correct logo colour variations are shown on the right. No
other colours or colour combinations are acceptable.
Logo colours
The South West Development Commission’s logo should
always be printed or displayed in the correct Pantone
colours or equivalent CMYK or RGB formulas.
Background colours should not obscure the logo therefore
a strong contrast should always be a high priority.
The formulas for Pantone (spot colour printing), CMYK
(four colour printing), and RGB (digital media) are shown
below.

Clearance zone
The South West Development Commission’s logo should
always have a clearance zone around it for visual clarity.
The zone should remain free from any other visual
elements such as text or graphics.
The zone must be at least 25% of the logo height.
Correct logo use
To help build brand awareness it is vital to ensure the
South West Development Commission logo is always
clearly recognisable to the public. The logo should not
be altered in any way as this would compromise the
Commission’s integrity. Correct logo use is shown below.
Examples of incorrect use are shown on the right.
Minimum size
To ensure the logo can be distinguished clearly the
minimum size allowed for print is 25mm wide and for
screen applications 125px wide. The size is measured
across the full width of the logo.
The logo must not be altered or distorted in any way to
make it fit into a small area. Size relationships between
the elements should always remain the same.
File types:
JPEG files are pixel based. They are not scaleable to
a larger size and are suitable mainly for use on web
pages, social media and in Microsoft Office programs.
The downloadable PDF files embedded in this
document are high quality vector based files which
are suitable for professionally printed materials and
signage.

When to co-badge
The South West Development Commission is a Western
Australian State Government agency.
When we provide funding or support through the South West Community Events Program, the Government
of Western Australia and the South West Development
Commission logo should appear in any public
acknowledgements.
Co-badging requirements
Where the South West Development Commission is
the major sponsor of an event or project, the State
Government logo and the Commission’s logo should be
the most prominent on any public acknowledgements.
If multiple State Government agencies are involved, the
State Government logo should only appear once.
When the South West Development Commission is one
of a number of sponsors the State Government logo and
the Commission’s logo should always appear together
amongst any other logos.
