Difference Between Logistics & Supply Chain Management

Supply Chain Logistics It is a network of

facilities likes warehouses, factories, terminals, ports, stores, homes.

It is a network of vehicles likes trucks, trains, planes, ships.

It is a network of logistics information systems “Connecting suppliers’ suppliers with its customers’ customers.

It is “ what happens in the supply chain”.

It is “putting the right material in the right place at the right time”.

It provides much of the Supply Chain’s value-added.

Disadvantage of Logistics The speed of disposal of the product
