LOADING APPLICANTS INTO “EOD GRID”

Things to consider:1. Load just before committee convenes to capture all applicants, 

eliminating tedious hand entry as applications come in.2. List will be alphabetized by last name.3. Required qualifications and desirable qualifications will need to be 

added to the top of the grid.4. Grid should be filled out by the Search Committee Chair.

STEP 1Open Jobs@UIOWAin Self‐Service.

STEP 2Under SEARCH COMMITTEE OPTIONS select Go to Search Committee Home.

STEP 3Click the radial button on the left then  click Select Requisition.

STEP 4Click the radial button on the left then  click Select Requisition.

STEP 5Under MANAGE APPLICANTS, select Generate Pre‐Interview Worksheet.

STEP 6After assuring Report Format is set to “Excel Format”, click Run Report.

STEP 7If your computer pops up this screen, select “Open with Microsft Excel” and click OK.  

STEP 8If your computer pops up this screen, click Yes.  

STEP 9Your file is now ready for entering the Required and Desirable Qualifications.  

STEP 10Enter an X in the grid when Search Committee determines applicant Meets the Requirement.

STEP 11Enter Rating Code in the grid using the Rating Codes descriptions below the grid.  

STEP 12When grid has been filled out for all applicants, save the file for attaching to the Pre‐Interview Reports.
