    Elec. Test Procedure

    2. Ensure the person totest is wearing properPPE.

    Correct PPEand gloves.

    3. Ensure that thesystem is isolated withonly the groundingintact. Never connect amegger tester toenergized DB orequipment. This canpotentially damage themeter.

Cables hang outside DBexcept forgrounding cableconnected.

    Steps. Photo reference. Time.

    1. Make sure theground wire of everyindividual circuit hasbeen tied to DB beforedoing insulation testing.

    This will ensure the

    newly installed systemis properly grounded.

    10 minsper cable.

    2. Set the meggertester to 200 mega ohmrange and 500V testingvoltage. (Use the

voltage selector switchon the megger to setthe megger to theappropriate testvoltage, usually thenext highest voltageabove the voltagerating of the piece ofequipment beingtested.)

    5 minsper receptacle..

    3. Press (and lock) thetest button and testbetween the terminalsPhase-Phase (3 phases),Phase- Neutral, Phase

to Ground and Neutralto ground. Test for 1minute. If there is areading, it should behigher than 0.5 megaohm. Lower than 0.5mega ohm and it failedthe insulation test.

    2 mins.

    4. Record all values. 10 mins.

    5. Be sure to releasethe test button and turnoff the device aftertesting. Megger testeremits 500-1000VDC.

    2. Pull by applyingenough force tomeasure thetermination of thecircuit.

    1 minper cable.

    3. Visually inspect theposition of the cable lugif it is tightened on theconductive part.

    1 minper cable.

    4. Check the torqueapplied by using a torqescrew driver.

    1 minper cable.

    5. Check the circuitlabels on the cables asper IFC with the

    corresponding circuitbreaker value.

    Elec. Test Procedure

    Preparation. Photo reference. Remarks.

    1. Ensure propercommunication withmezzanine team and

    ATM team.

    Correct and clearcommunication.

    Steps. Photo reference. Time.

    1. Set the voltage rangeto be tested. Normallyfor VN site, 600V settingis the value.

    1 min.

    2. Test between theterminals Phase -Phase(3 phase), Phase-Neutral, Phase toGround and Neutral toground. Determine the

polarity of the terminalsby voltage reading, refer on picture. Areading L-G determine ifthe system has properground(equal to L-N), N-G should be 0V.

    Elec. Test Procedure

    3. Refer to IFC drawingon correspondingvoltage requirement foreach circuit. Normallymachines can handle +-

    10% tolerance. (Eg. 220Rating: Min-198, Max242).

    Preparation. Photo reference. Remarks.

    1. Rotation testing canbe applied only on threephase. This determinethe correct polarity androtation of the 3 phasesystems.

    Insert correctphase(red/yellow/blue).

    2. Incorrect phase cancause MCCB to trip.

    Incorrect phasedue to installation.

    Steps. Photo reference. Time.

    1. While the power stillon, insert each of thetesting terminals of thephase tester tocorresponding locationon the receptacle. Referon photo.
