Football: The Wildcats (2-1, 0-1 MIC) played a hard fought game against MIC and district Lawrence Central on Friday night at Lucas Oil Stadium. LN had to come back all night, getting off to a slow start by giving LC a 14-0 cushion in the first quarter. Once the Cats found their groove, it was a close fight throughout the night. Donavan McCulley threw four touchdown passes, all four to Omar Cooper, and kicker Zach Lotts had a 22-yard field goal and was perfect on PAT attempts. Bishr Jones ran for 119 yards while Keyshawn Smith added 56 yards on offense and picked up 5 tackles on defense. The LN defense forced two turnovers, with Trevon Hatchett getting an interception and forcing a fumble. Jeremy Lee and Nick Taylor both had 11 tackles each to lead the defense, Excell Brooks had 9 tackles, and Trezon Hall had 7 tackles. The Wildcats will travel to North Central (1-2, 0-1 MIC) on Friday night to take on the Panthers on their Homecoming Night.
