Has and have are used to show possession or ownership. We own or possess something when we buy it, receive it as a gift, own it automatically, or are given legal right over it.

• Have is used with I, you, we, they, and plural subjects (All of the cats have long hair.)• Has is used with he, she, and singular subjects (That cat has long hair.)
