KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA WORKS AS A ORO IN POCRA FFS and monitor the FFS activity in village Pandaw Umra inWashim and Wai in Karanja on dated 5 July 2018. In thismonitoring visit the monitoring team interacted with SoybeanFFS farmers and cotton FFS farmers in PandawUmra and Waivillage respectively. The monitoring team expressed thesatisfaction towards KVK and State Agriculture Departmentfor the introduction oflow cost and eco friendly interventionin the participatory approached mode through FFS. KVK Washim working as a District Resource Krishi Din was jointly organized by Z.P.Washim andOrganization (DRO) for technical monitoring and State Agriculture Department in the memory of late shri.backstopping the FFS activity in 29 selected villages in the Vasantraoji Naik Ex.C.M. Maharashtra State at Districtfirst phase during Kharif 2018. The objectives of the programme is todouble farmer's income upto 2022 which undertakes variousactivities to promote best farming practices and enhanceagriculture income. Vocational training was one of theactivities which is held during 25-27 July 2018 at KYKcampus. In technical session Dr.R.L.Kale (Senior Scientistand Head KYK) explained the scope and importance of bestagriculture practices. Mr. Tushar Deshmukh (SMSAgronomy) explained on importance and need of soil testingand briefed about NADEP compost pit and organic farming.Mr.R.S.Daware (SMS Plant Protection) guided on IntegratedPest Management (IPM) and shown low cost technologies ofIPM like Pheromone Trap, Neem Powder, Dashpami Arketc.

Mr.N.B.Patil (SMS Horticulture) guided onvegetable seed production technology and management offruit plants. Mrs.S. .Watane (PA Home Science) explainedthe importance of nutrition for farm communities and gavedemonstration on nutritious soya food production likesoyamilk, soya atta. Mr.Ramteke urged to start agri-relatedsmall business like poultry, goat farming, dairy etc.Mr.D.N.Ingole (SMS Agri Economic) andMr.P.VDeshmukh (Farm Manager) guided on IntegratedFarming System Module and visit the IFS module during thisvisit they explained how useful this module for them.
