2. NARRATOR : Once upon a time, there was a little girl who lived

3. in a village near the forest. Whenever, she went

6. Riding Hood. One morning, Little Red Riding

7. Hood was called by her mother.

8. THEME MUSIC – MUSIC : UP THEN OUT (THEME MUSIC)

9. MOTHER : (OFF MIKE) Come, Little Red Riding Hood.

10. RED RIDING HOOD : (SHOUTING) Yes Mother. I’m coming!

11. SFX : RUNNING FOOTSTEPS

12. RED RIDING HOOD : Here I am mother. What is it?

13. MOTHER : (FADE IN) Oh there you are sweety. Here is a

14. piece of cake and a bottle of wine; take them to

15. your grandmother, she is ill and weak, and they

16. will do her good. Set out before it gets hot, and

17. when you are going, walk nicely and quietly and

18. do not run off the path, or you may fall and break

19. the bottle, and then your grandmother will get

20. nothing; and when you go into her room, don't

21. forget to say, "Good morning", and don't peep into

22. every corner before you do it.

1. RED RIDING HOOD : I will take great care mother. Grandmother lives in

2. the wood, half a league from the village. Isn’t it

3. right mother?

4. MOTHER : Yes Red. That’s where you grandma lives.

5. RED RIDING HOOD : Okay mother. Maybe I should leave now so that I

6. can come home early.

7. MOTHER : I think so dear. Go now and God Bless you.

8. RED RIDING HOOD : Thank you mother. Bye.

9. MOTHER : (FADE OUT) Bye.

10. SFX : CHIRPING OF BIRDS/ MURMUR OF LEAVES

11. RED RIDING HOOD : (HUMMING) Oh what a great day. The sun is up.

12. Birds are chirping everywhere!. The wind blow is

13. so cold; sky is clear and has no sign of rain. How I

14. wish grandmother could see this. I better hurry for

15. she needs these things.

16. SFX : FOOTSTEPS

17. RED RIDING HOOD : (HUMMING) (SELF) Is that a wolf?

18. WOLF : (FADE IN) Good day, Little Red Riding Hood.

19. How are you today?

20. : (SELF) How lucky I am to see you. I am pretty

21. much starving and you would be a good meal for

22. me.(GIGGLES)

1. RED RIDING HOOD : Thank you kindly wolf. I am fine. And how are

2. you? How was your day?

3. WOLF : I’m fine too… My day was good. I was having my

4. exercise in the woods and I saw you walking

5. alone. Where are you going so early?

6. (SELF) I’m so hurry I could eat you in whole!

7. RED RIDING HOOD : (SIGH) I am going to my grandmother. She is

8. sick and cannot do things on her own. I need to go

9. to her and give these as what mother instructed me

10. to do

11. WOLF : Oh, I see. What have you got there in your apron?

12. It smells delicious and appetizing. May I know

13. what it is?

14. RED RIDING HOOD : Cake and wine; yesterday was baking-day, so poor

15. sick grandmother is to have something good, to

16. make her stronger. It will make her feel good after

17. eating the cake because my mother made it special

18. for grandmother.

19. WOLF : Oh, how sweet! Where does your grandmother

20. live, Little Red Riding Hood?

21. : (SELF) Come on tell me!

1. RED RIDING HOOD : A good quarter of a league farther on in the wood;

2. her house stands under the three large oak-trees,

3. the nut-trees are just below; you surely must know

4. it. Have you gone there or maybe passed by?

5. WOLF : (SELF) Good! (ALOUD) Oh I see. Yes I think I

6. know where that place is.

7. : (SELF) What a tender young creature! What a nice

8. plump mouthful - she will be better to eat than the

9. old woman. I must act craftily, so as to catch both!

10. : (ALOUD) Come on Little Red Riding Hood. I will

11. take a walk with you to your grandmother’s house.

12. RED RIDING HOOD : Thank you dear wolf. You are so kind.

13. SFX :FOOTSTEPS

14. MUSIC : (FADE IN TO BG) CHIRPING OF

15. BIRDS/WIND BLOWING

16. WOLF : See, Little Red Riding Hood, how pretty the

17. flowers are about here - why do you not look

18. round? I believe, too, that you do not hear how

19. sweetly the little birds are singing; you walk

20. gravely along as if you were going to school, while

21. everything else out here in the wood is merry.

1. RED RIDING HOOD : Yes I think you are right dear wolf. The sunbeams

2. dancing here and there through the trees, and

3. pretty flowers growing everywhere! Suppose I

4. take grandmother a fresh nosegay; that would

5. please her too. It is so early in the day that I shall\

6. still get there in good time.

7. WOLF : Yes you will arrive on time.

8. : (SELF) .(LAUGHING) After this, I will go right

9. ahead to her grandmother’s house and eat her. And

10. pretend that I am her grandmother.

11. RED RIDING HOOD : Okay thank you wolf.

12. WOLF : (FADE OUT) Careful or you might stumble.

13. SFX : FOOTSTEPS RUNNING

14. RED RIDING HOOD : What a lovely flower. I will bring this to

15. grandmother. Oh! There is another one. And other

16. one. (HUMMING) and there goes another one…

17. A got plenty of it now. Oh there is another one

18. over there!

19. SFX : FOOTSTEPS RUNNING

20. RED RIDING HOOD : (SELF) I had lots of flowers that I cannot seem to

21. carry it anymore. (ALOUD) Oh my! I must hurry

22. to grandma’s house. I better run!

2. BIRDS/WIND BLOWING

3. SFX : FOOTSTEPS RUNNING

4. RED RIDING HOOD : (SELF) (BREATHING IN AND OUT HEAVILY)

5. I did not notice that I went to far from picking up

6. those beautiful flowers. I had so much fun that I

7. did not notice the long period of time. I must

8. hurry.

9. SFX : FOOTSTEPS RUNNING/ BREATHING IN AND

10. OUT HEAVILY

11. RED RIDING HOOD : Thank God I arrived on time.

12. SFX : FOOTSTEPS

13. RED RIDING HOOD : That’s strange. Why would grandmother leave the

14. door open? Maybe she wanted to see the beauty of

15. the surroundings and forgot to close the door.

16. SFX : CREAKING OF DOOR

17. RED RIDING HOOD : (SELF) Oh dear! How uneasy I feel today, and at

18. other times I like being with grandmother so

19. much. (ALOUD) Good morning,

20. : (SELF) Strange. Grandma would suppose to

21. answer back. Maybe she’s asleep. I will go near

22. her bed and also open the curtain for her so that

23. she can eat well.

1. SFX. : FOOTSTEPS/CREAKING OF WOODEN

2. FLOOR

3. RED RIDING HOOD : (SELF) Strange. Why would grandma pull her cap

4. far over her face? Maybe I should ask here.

5. WOLF : (FADE IN) She really thinks that I am her

6. grandmother. But sad to say, your weak

7. grandmother became my first victim young lady.

8. While you were enjoying yourself in the woods, I

9. am already feasting your grandmother. To bad she

10. couldn’t fought back because she is

11. sick…(GIGGLES) And you will join your grand

12. mother here in my tummy!

13. RED RIDING HOOD : Oh! grandmother, what big ears you

14. have!

15. WOLF : All the better to hear you with, my child.

16. RED RIDING HOOD : But, grandmother, what big eyes you have!

17. WOLF : All the better to see you with, my dear.

18. RED RIDING HOOD : But, grandmother, what large hands you have!

19. WOLF : All the better to hug you with.

20. RED RIDING HOOD : Oh! but, grandmother, what a terrible big mouth

21. you have!

22. WOLF : All the better to eat you with!

23. SFX : WOLF GROWLING

1. MUSIC : (FADE IN TO BG) SUSPENSE

2. WOLF : You’re the next to be eaten Little Red Riding

3. Hood! (CONTINUOUSLY GROWLING)

4. RED RIDING HOOD : (SCREAMING) Help! The wolf wants to eat me!

5. WOLF : (GROWLING) Too late Red. You are mine now!

6. No one will hear your voice from here!

7. RED RIDING HOOD! : (SCREAMING) Help!

8. MUSIC : (FADE OUT TO BG) SUSPENSE

9. WOLF : (FADE OUT) Yummy! What an appetizing meal I

10. had for this day. I feel sleepy. Maybe I should

11. take a good nap.

12. SFX : SNORING

13. NARRATOR : When the wolf had appeased his appetite, he lay

14. down again in the bed, fell asleep and began to

15. snore very loud. The huntsman was just passing

16. the house, when he heard the loud snoring in the

17. house.

18. SFX : (LOUD SNORING)

19. HUNTSMAN : How the old woman is snoring! I must just see if

20. she wants anything.

21. SFX :FOOTSTEPS/ CREAKING OF DOOR

22. HUNTSMAN : (SELF) What’s this? The door is open.

23. SFX : FOOTSTEPS

1. HUNTSMAN : (SELF) Wolf! So its you! Do I find you here, you

2. old sinner! I have long sought you!

3. SFX : CLICKING OF THE TRIGGER

4. HUNTSMAN : (SELF) Wait! The wolf might have devoured the

5. grandmother, and she might still be saved. I have

6. to look for a pair of scissors!

7. SFX : FOOTSTEPS/ SCARTCHING SOUND OF

8. OPENING DRAWER

9. HUNTSMAN : (SELF) Here you go. Now I have to cut the

10. stomach of the sleeping wolf. I should be careful

11. not to harm the old lady and so that the wolf will

12. not be awake.

13. : (SIGH) Okay, gently… Almost. and…

14. GRANDMOTHER : (FADE IN) (COUGHING) Thank you for rescuing

15. me. Thank

16. you so much!

17. HUNTSMAN : Are you okay old lady?

18. GRANDMOTHER : Yes! But my granddaughter is still in his stomach

19. please save her!

20. HUNTSMAN : You mean, Another victim is still inside this

21. sinner?

22. GRANDMOTHER : Yes. Please save her!

6. RED RIDING HOOD : (FADE IN) (COUGHING) (CRYING)

7. Grandmother. I really thought it was you. Then He

8. swallowed me in whole! I was so scared. Ah, how

9. frightened I have been! How dark it was inside the

10. wolf I am having a hard time to breathe.

11. GRANDMOTHER : Now now. Thank goodness you are safe.

12. RED RIDING HOOD : I have an idea! We Will fill out the stomach of the

13. wolf with big stones! (FADE OUT) I’ll be right

14. back!

15. HUNTSMAN : Old lady, I think you should get out now. I will

16. stay in and guard this wolf and shoot at him if he

17. awakes.

18. GRANDMOTHER : (FADE OUT) Okay, but take good care of

19. yourself. You might get killed by that wolf.

20. HUNTSMAN : Okay I will. (SELF) Now, let’s see how tough you

21. are wolf!

22. RED RIDING HOOD : (FADE IN) Here they are sir. Big stones!

23. HUNTSMAN : Good! Let’s put all of them.

1. RED RIDING HOOD : (ANGRY VOICE)This stone is for my

2. Grandmother! This stone is for the ones that’s you

3. have tricked! And this stone is for me!

4. HUNTSMAN : Let’s see if you can take all of this stones you bad

5. wolf! Come on. Let’s go out!

6. SFX : FOOTSTEPS/CREAKING FLOOR/ CREAKING

7. DOOR

8. RED RIDING HOOD : Look there’s grandmother!

9. GRANDMOTHER : (FADE IN) My child! It was a terrible day. I think

10. we should go home and tell the bad day that we

11. had gone to. Mr. Huntsman, can I ask a favor of

12. escorting us?

13. HUNTSMAN : Sure. I’ll be glad to. I will never forget this day.

14. RED RIDING HOOD : Yes, you are right sir. This day is so horrible but

15. thank you, you came. I have learned an important

16. lesson in my life. As long as I live, I will never

17. leave the path by myself to run into the wood,

18. when my mother has forbidden me to do so.

1. NARRATOR : And so, the three went home to the house of Little

2. Red Riding Hood. They told the story to Red

3. Riding Hood’s mother and thanking God that they

4. were alive and after the long horrible story, they

5. ate together with the huntsman who saved their

6. lives.. And the old bad wolf?

7. WOLF : (GROWLING) (ANGRY VOICE) What

8. happened? Why is my belly heavy? Why is it

9. hard? Little Red Riding Hood! Curse you!

10. NARRATOR : And that’s what happened to the wolf after

11. waking from a good meal. The End!
