LISTS AND DETAILS ABOUT BOROVETS GATES AREAS AND ANIMATIONS OF THEM

1. GENERAL DETAILS ABOUT BOROVETS GATES AREAS:

=the entire animation plan for BOROVETS archaeologycal site is to establish areas/gates between start point and the site itself, in according with reasons to make it;=each area in part should be indicated by a „gate”,having a conventional name and few details about the area from behind it;=because all areas are linked,can be used „gates” with two „faces”,pending by where the tourists are looking to it(as a sample,coming from the second area,the same gate is showning the entrance in the first area,and-coming form the first area,the same gate shows the entrance in the second area);=the „gates” shoulud be made in such way to not disturbe the traffic or acceses,beter made to be a „half of a gate” or a „gate” outside of the road,just nearby it;=the gates should have adapted desygn for the area behind it,also should to be made by special materials to resist in hard condition of weather;=all the gates will include the logo of the site.=the entire concept of the animation project is that the large valley from the area was used for comercial activities by ancestors,also was a way for barbarians armies to penetrate the roman empire.For those reasons,romans used the mountains liknk above to built an important defensive link of fortresses(as Borovets fortress is),not only the one from Balcan area.

2. GATES AND AREAS FOR BOROVETS PROJECT:

2.1. AREAS FOR BOROVETS PROJECT:

=there are fours areas,starting form Pravets start point(center) untill the ancient site from Borovets:

=the area of the start point,placed just in the center of the Pravets town;=the area thru the large valley,along the mountain which contents the ancient

site;

=the area which is climbing the mountain thru the deep forest,untill to the hunting cottage;

=the area which includes the ancient site itself.

2.1.1. THE AREA OF THE BULGARIAN HOSPITALITY:

=this area is covering a part of the center of the Pravets town,with importnat objectifs for the project ,as:

=(M)-the historycal museum of Pravets;=(E)-the etnographycal area,where can be organised yearly event(or often!) about

bulgaryan popular traditions,work-shops,artistics events and others;=(P)-a large parcking for tourists cars.

=this area is accesed by THE GATE OF THE BULGARYAN HOSIPTALITY and is conected with the area of THE ENDLESS VALLEY,thru the same gate.

2.1.2. THE AREA OF THE ENDLESS VALLEY:

=this area is following the large valley which is going to the ancient site mountain, following the road which is starting from the center of the town(gate 1),exiting the town,following the main road to west and north,a good reason for the guide to present the valley as being the most important part of the project,because tha valley was,in those ancient time,marked by a lot of ceomerical roads and also was used by barbarians armies ,trying to conquer the roman empire;=the area is accesed by THE GATE OF THE ENDLESS VALLEY and is conected with the area of THE ENCHANCED FORREST.

2.1.3. THE AREA OF THE ENCHANCED FOREST:

=this area is starting by where the secondary good road is coming from the main road of the valley,to be continued as a forest road untill to the hunting cottage.

2.1.4. THE AREA OF THE ANCIENT TIME:

=this area is made by the mountain where is located the ancient site,also the ancient site itself;=is better to let this area as wild as can be,to shown the real image of those ancient times,the foot-road included in this plan.

2.1.5. can be added-optional- to this plan,another area (THE AREA OF CHAINED CITIES) ,to show more thane on fortress to toruists,as Kale(Elen Pelin) should be.

3. THE ANIMATION FOR ENTIRE PROJECT:

=for each gate/area in part there are way-sygnes to be followed by toruists to the main targets of the area,having details about and also to can fiind the right way to the ancient site and back.

3.1. THE AREA OF THE BULGARYAN HOSPITALITY:

=in this area ,the toruist is coming thru THE GATE OF THE BULGARYAN HOSPITALITY,being a large area ,just in the center of the Pravets town;=exiting from the area,should be a way-sygn to be followed,on the way to the ancient site;=in left part of the entrance inside the area,there are a large parking,which can be used for the tourists cars;=in the midle of the area,is marked with detailed txt table details about the museum,as a documentary info-point,an exibition with artefacts also,documentries movies etc;=just nearby the museum is a large free space which can be presented by another txt table as being the place for ethnographycal events(bulgarian traditions,work-shops);=in the same area should be placed another txt table, which presents other opportunities for the tourists, offered by Pravets town,as hotels, restaurants, lake+park etc.

3.2. THE AREA OF THE ENDLESS VALLEY:

=this long and large area,watched by THE GATE OF THE ENDLESS VALLEY in south-west(conected with the area of THE BULGARYAN HOSPITALITY),and by the gate thru THE ENCHANCED FOREST,in north part of it,is very important to be presented by the guide as being the reason to build a link of fortresses on the tops of the mountains(to watch the valley with comercial roads,to protect them,to take taxes,to prevent the intrusion of barbarians armies,also);=what is important to this area is to place more way-sygnes,to can fiind the right way to the ancient site,in special where are cross-roads,on the way to the site;=txt tables can be placed at the entrance in the valley,to show the importance of the area.

3.3.,-4. THE AREA OF THE ENCHANCED FOREST:

=is starting by where is coming the forest road as a branch of the secondary road,marked with a gate and txt table also,and is ending where is the hunting cottage:

=here,where the hunting cottage is,can be made a very good rest point,with huntars traditions to be shown to the tourists.=form here is starting the area of THE ANCIENT TIME,which contents the ancient site,accesed by two foot-roads,marked and kept in wild situation to can show the real image of those ancient times,with minimal adjustements.

3.5. THE SITE NON-VERBAL ANIMATION:

=the ancient site can be accesed by south-east,thru the allreay discovered „gate”,and-after a visit over the entire site,the toruist can exit thru the north-west part of the site(the „main gate”?),following the western branch of the road to be back.=as txt tables placed over the site,should be choosen place as:

=the (seconday)”gate”,form south-east of the fortress,allreday discovered;

=after the entrance inside the site,can be seen in left part of it discovered ruins,in a good position to be visited and also having a txt table nearby;

=another two txt tables can be placed in the center of the site(important roman ruins+thracyan sanctuary;

=finaly,before to exit from the site,should be another txt table for the „round corner”(with ruins of the watch tower inlcuded).

=pending by the specialists decision,can be more non-verbal txt tables,as a sample can be the place from western part of the center of the site,where it was discovered the huge pottery and others artefacts.
