I am the third generation of our family to own and operate T&E Cattle Co., a diversified business

involving cattle feeding, farming, real estate development and other interests. Our family business was

originally founded in 1934 and continues operating out of the same location in Grand Island today.

Business and industry involvement activities include positions as past Board of Directors member and

Committee chair positions with Nebraska Cattlemen Association, a policy developing organization

representing the interests of Nebraska beef producers. I presently serve on the Board of Directors of

National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. I have been recognized for multiple year participation with

educational programs hosted by the Nebraska Beef Council to advocate and educate professionals from

various fields and disciplines to dispel mistruths and perceptions about beef production practices. I

have participated in a task force studying animal agriculture industry risks associated with infectious

animal diseases, transmission and emergency planning, working with representatives from various

agencies, both at State and Federal levels and academia. I am currently serving on the Exec Board of

Directors of Fonner Park, a Thoroughbred Racetrack non-profit organization, home of the Nebraska

State Fair and host to numerous other large civic events throughout the year.

A member of the Zoning Board of Adjustments for Hall County since July, 2006. A member of the Interjurisdictional Planning Commission Board since May 2008. My term expired October 2015 due to term limits. Volunteer for the United Way and Habitat for Humanity (building committee). Established and developed the Springdale LLC Subdivision in 2006.

Built and sold 37 houses in six years in the Springdale Subdivision with a total of 43 homes built

in the city of Grand Island. Experienced in general contracting.

Maintain and repair fences, pivots on this property. Very conscious steward of the farming husbandry. I'm a down-to-earth farm/ranch girl from Burwell Nebraska with experience in all aspects of

farming and ranching. I have a common sense approach to life and living. I'm self-made. I work well with others, I'm an experienced researcher, outgoing, diversified, successful and an optimistic team player.

Currently teach General, Inorganic, Environmental, and Materials Chemistry courses. Have scholarly expertise in nanomaterials synthesis and properties with applications in solar cells and sensors. Conduct research in the development of low-cost, next-generation solar cell technologies. Have received $2.5 million in research funding from NSF, DOE, NASA, Nebraska EPSCoR, and the Nebraska Research Initiative program. The research has produced 24 journal articles, 7 provisional or full patents, 96 conference presentations, and the mentoring of 70 UNK undergraduate research students.

Headed a NDEQ subcontract for the conduction of air (soil-vapor extractor) and groundwater chemical analysis at the EPA Cleburn Street Superfund site in Grand Island. Was the training curriculum developer for Keep Nebraska Beautiful’s EPA grant-funded Nebraska School Chemical Cleanout Campaign. These materials formed the UNK CHEM 805 (Chemical Management & Safety for H.S. Teachers) course that is part of the Science/Math Education M.S.Ed. program, an online Master’s degree program for high school teachers that blends pedagogy and science/math instruction.

Received two of UNK’s top faculty awards: Pratt-Heins Award for Excellence in Research (2006), Leland Holdt/Security Life Insurance Company Distinguished Faculty Award (2010)

University of Nebraska Kearney B.S. Physical Science - 2013 Began career with CNH Industrial in 2014 as Environmental Pillar Supervisor. Previously studied Physics, Math, and Environmental Science at University of Nebraska-Kearney.

Currently lead Environmental and Energy projects to save money and reduce the manufacturing impact on the Environment. Has responsibility for maintaining the manufacturing plant’s ISO 14001 Environmental standard, and ISO 50001 Energy standard. Supports Environmental compliance of Water, Air, and Waste Permits.

Supervises activity in the plant’s 3 paint systems, and monitors the impacts of welding, fabrication, and assembly of Combines and Haytools products from the Case New Holland manufacturing facility.

Currently employed by the Village of Alda for the last two years. I am Wastewater Certified to maintain

the Lagoons. Also am Class IV Water Certified to maintain the water system. I have also attained a

pesticide Applicators License for insect control. And have a Class B CDL to operate the various machinery

needed to maintain the streets.

I previously was a fuel delivery driver and still currently carry the Hazmat endorsement to my CDL

I have never served on a committee before, but look forward to the opportunity.

Chad Nabity AICP

Chad has been the Planning Director for the Hall County Regional Planning Commission since December

1999. The Hall County Planning Commission provides planning services to Hall County, the cities of

Grand Island and Wood River, Hall County, and the Villages of Alda, Doniphan and Cairo. Since 2004 he

has been the Director of the Grand Island Community Redevelopment Authority as well. He is a

professional planner with a Masters of Community and Regional Planning from the University of

Nebraska at Lincoln. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He is currently the

Chair of the Small Town and Rural Planning Division of the American Planning Association. He is active in

the Nebraska Association of County Officials (NACO) Zoning Administrator Affiliate and Immediate Past

President of the Nebraska Planning and Zoning Association (NPZA). Chad has variety of experience in

planning issues in Nebraska ranging from: work with the Nebraska Department of Health relative to

infectious and communicable disease prevention planning; work with the Nebraska Department of

Economic Development researching affordable housing in Nebraska; to experience with county and

municipal land use planning in Madison and Hall Counties.

Jon Rosenlund was appointed Emergency Management Director in 2007. Jon has a Masters Degree in

Public Administration and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Russian, both from Brigham Young University. Jon ‘s

career in 9-1-1 communications began in 1996 as a public safety dispatcher, and expanded into the field

of emergency management in 2003 in Sterling, Colorado. Jon and his wife, Becky, have five children.

I am currently a resident of rural Hall County near the Village of Alda, Nebraska. I have been married

15 years and have two children, a son Westin that’s 10 years old and a daughter, Kierra that’s 13 years

old. I was born in Alliance, Nebraska and graduated from Alliance High School in 1994. I have a Bachelor

of Science Degree with a comprehensive major in Mathematics from Chadron State College in 1999.

I began my surveying career in 1995, became a licensed land surveyor on July 1, 2004 and I have been

the elected full-time County Surveyor, County Highway Superintendent, and GIS Director for Hall County

in Grand Island, Nebraska since October 1, 2005. I am Elected County Surveyor for a term of 4 years. I

hold a Class A County Highway Superintendents License and a Class A City Street Superintendents

License.

I serve on the Nebraska Association of County Officials Board of Directors, the Technical Advisory

Committee for the Grand Island Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Professional

accomplish the mission of the Crane Trust. Management activities include: grazing, haying, prescribed

fire, control of noxious and invasive weeds and in channel disking.

Awarded the “2015 Wetland Stewardship Award” by the Rainwater Basin Joint venture.

Has enjoyed living in Grand Island with wife and 2 sons for several years and is actively involved in

coaching Little League baseball and youth football.
