Dear Rising Ninth- and Tenth-Grade Students,

On the following page is a list of apps required for your grade during the 2013-14 school year. When you get your iPad, please download these apps from the App Store. You will notice that most of these are free apps; however, several do require payment. We have tried to keep the app cost at a minimum. If you have questions about iPad requirements, please see our Technology for Learning page of the website: www.cpalions.org/academics/technology/.

In addition, teachers may require specific apps for their course(s). The required apps will be listed on the Course Materials List, which is posted here: http://www.cpalions.org/academics/high-school-course-materials-2013-2014/. Throughout the year, teachers may ask you to download additional free apps to supplement the course materials.

You may go to the Apple App Store from your iPad and find each of the apps from the table. Use the links provided to ensure that you are purchasing the correct version of the app. You will be responsible to have these loaded on your iPad before the first day of school in the fall, but I would recommend you load them early in the summer so that you have a chance to familiarize yourself with them before school starts.

Some examples are: myHomework, inClass, and The Homework App. There are many homework-planner apps from which to choose, and most can be downloaded free. Browse the app store from your iPad and choose one that best suits your needs.
