LIQUID STORAGE TANKS
TITAN ENVIRONMENTAL CONTAINMENTtitanenviro.ca
Who:
Manitoba Hydro/Newton Mechanical
What:
Supplied and installed four (23.8’x16.8’) liquid storage tanks,
two potable water and two firewater, with Titan’s distinct
insulation and cladding system and designed, supplied and
installed grade band foundation system over permafrost.
Why Titan:
Due to the unstable subgrade conditions the client had
planned to use an expensive concrete tank foundation.
Titan provided a simple solution using our geogrid products
to stabilize the subgrade, as well as a unique foundation
design called a Horizontal Foundation Mat which decreased
installation time and provided significant cost savings to our
client. We completed the project efficiently under extreme
winter conditions.
Firewater TankEsterhazy, Saskatchewan (K3 Mine Site)
Who:
Mosaic/ Hatch
What:
Supplied and installed one (38.4’x 41.9’) liquid storage tank
complete with Titan’s patent insulation and cladding system.
Why Titan:
This project involved a very extensive submittal package
that needed to be approved before being allowed on site
to construct the tank. Working with the manufacturer, we
successfully completed the submittal package going above
and beyond the requirements. Furthermore, there were
very specific and stringent site safety requirements which
we met by modifying some of our installation techniques,
without compromising workmanship. We were flexible and
adhered to our client’s needs while meeting and exceeding
requirements, with no impact on production. As a result, the
client presented Titan with an award in recognition of our
commitment to safety and excellence.

TITAN LIQUID STORAGE TANK PROJECTS
TITAN ENVIRONMENTAL CONTAINMENTtitanenviro.ca
Who:
Cargill Limited
What:
Supplied and installed two (46’x34’) bolted firewater holding
tanks for Cargill’s new canola processing facility near Camrose,
Alberta. The tanks were built using bolted epoxy coated steel
panel walls and floor, and a geodesic aluminum dome roof which
were insulated using Titan’s propriety insulation system.
In the event of a fire these tanks supply water to the facility’s fire
suppression system however they can also be used for process
water. With a light, continuous draw and filling feature the tanks
are self-mixing and do not require a mixing pump or heaters to
avoid freezing.
Why Titan:
Using our scope of expertise, we were able to effectively
advise the client on insulation and installation procedures
that best met their needs. Once on site we worked with the
client through challenging circumstances to ensure successful
completion of the project.

Millennium Stimulation Services
What:
Frac Sand Transload Facility consisting of two 35’ diameter
x 112’ high bolted silos with center discharge hoppers and
interior suspended access/maintenance platform. Product
flows across a 130’ conveyor and up a 185’ high bucket
elevator. These tanks/silos are constructed with large truck
drive thrus that allow quick and cost efficient loading of
multiple trucks. This is extremely important in ensuring
profitable fracking operations.
Why Titan:
We actively worked with the manufacturer and our client
during the project development and design phase.
Additionally, we provided general contracting services
including procurement and management of all required
trades and engineering professionals to construct the

constructed with large truck drive thrus that allow quick and
cost efficient loading of multiple trucks. This is extremely
important in ensuring profitable fracking operations.
Why Titan:
Because of our state-of-the art custom jacking process,
we were able to complete all construction on the ground
versus working at heights. This not only reduced risk by
providing safer working conditions but also decreased
project costs for our client by shortening production time,
and eliminating the use of expensive cranes that are often
unreliable in the winter. The project was completed on
budget and on time despite cold seasonal conditions.
