Liporfir works in processing and trading of Dried Salted Cod, the “faithful friend” of the Portuguese people. Star of the national cuisine, cod is the basis of many traditional dishes. In the company we maintain the ambition of the first day: ensure the excellence of our product, es- tablish a relationship of trust with the consumer and be a reference of quality in the market. We buy our fish in Norway and Iceland, we only work with Gadus Morhua. In our premises the fish is placed in drying tunnels with air at controlled temperature and humidity, and stay between 48 to 100 hours, depending on size and thickness. At the end of this process we got a cod a very dry codfish with a hu- midity percentage below the 47%, as the true Portuguese Traditional Codfish. We believe our brand reveals a Portuguese talent of well doing. With a unique identity we want to maintain uniqueness in the domes- tic market and expand into the in- ternational market. Internationally, we already established strong part- nerships in European countries as “Mercado da Saudade”, and we have a presence in Angola and Ecuador. We aim to extend our market where partners seek value. Our main clients are supermarkets, wholesalers, traditional trade and HORECA channel.
