Directions to Wilderness Awareness School’s Land: “Linne Doran and Coho Ridge” Physical Address: 20410 320th Ave NE, Duvall, WA, 98019 Downtown Duvall administrative office: 425-788-1301; [email protected] Estimated travel time from downtown Duvall to the Land: 15-20 Minutes. From Monroe 1. Take Highway 203 south 8 miles to the north edge of Duvall. 2. Once you enter Duvall, make a sharp hairpin left turn onto NE Cherry Valley Road. (Do not turn on the Cherry Valley Rd in rural Snohomish County before you reach Duvall.) If you reach the stoplight at the intersection of Woodinville Duvall Road you’ve gone too far. 3. Follow the “from Duvall” directions below. From I-90 1. Take Exit 22 (Preston) and at the “T”, turn right onto Preston-Fall City Road. 2. Go 4 miles. At the stop sign in Fall City, turn right, go over the bridge, then left onto Highway 203. 3. Follow Highway 203 12 miles through Carnation, past Stillwater, and into Duvall. 4. Drive all the way through Duvall, past the last stoplight at the bridge intersection. Go one block. Take the right fork onto NE Cherry Valley Road (this turn is before the speed limit on Hwy 203 changes to 55 MPH). 5. Follow the “from Duvall” directions below. From Seattle 1. Take Highway 520 East over Lake Washington to Redmond until it turns into Avondale Road. 2. Follow Avondale Road through 3 stoplights. Just before the 4 th stoplight, take the right fork onto Novelty Hill Road. 3. Follow Novelty Hill Road as it curves steeply downhill into the river valley. 4. At the stop light, turn left, go one block, and turn right onto 124 th St. 5. Go across the valley over the bridge. 6. At the round-about, turn left onto Highway 203. 7. Follow Highway 203 2.5 miles through Duvall. 8. Take the right fork onto NE Cherry Valley Road (this turn is before the speed limit on Hwy 203 changes to 55 MPH). 9. Follow the “from Duvall” directions below. From North Seattle 1. Take Highway 522 from Bothell to the second Woodinville exit, Woodinville/Duvall Rd. (also 195 th St.) 2. Follow the Woodinville/Duvall Road 9 miles 3. Go steeply downhill into the river valley and across the Duvall bridge. 4. Turn left at the light onto Hwy 203. 5. Take an immediate right (fork) onto NE Cherry Valley Road (this turn is before the speed limit on Hwy 203 changes to 55 MPH). 6. Follow the “from Duvall” directions below.

From Duvall

1. From NE Cherry Valley Road, continue 4.2 miles to the junction of Mountain View Rd.

2. TURN LEFT onto Mountain View Road NE.

3. FOLLOW HAIRPIN CURVE to right and continue on Mtn. View Road.

4. After 1.2 miles, at the yield sign, FOLLOW RIGHT FORK onto 318th Ave. NE. (Gotowards Yield and Dead End signs)

5. 318th Ave. NE becomes 183rd Street. CONTINUE around curves and up hill for 0.3 miles.

6. Follow road to the LEFT onto 320th Avenue NE. Continue for 0.8 miles.

7. CONTINUE STRAIGHT when you see the sign for NE 197th Street / Lake Margaret(197th will be a right).

8. CONTINUE on 320th Ave. NE onto the gravel road. Please limit your speed to 10 MPHon the gravel road to protect our students, wildlife, neighboring pets, and yourvehicle.

9. Coho Ridge is on the left after the horse property. There is a metal orange gate withsmall gravel parking lot visible from the road.

10. When you see the “Mosswood Hollow” sign on the left and the Wilderness AwarenessSchool sign ahead on the right, take the right fork. (0.2 miles)

11. About 200 ft after the entrance you’ll see our Linne Doran parking area on the left.Please pull in and park here. Please park snugly to allow for other cars arriving after you.

12. To find your program, walk in along the gravel road. Veer right past the “honey buckets”to find Cedar Lodge (2 story tan building with porch).

13. To get to Wolf Den (the yurt) continue on the path to the right of Cedar Lodge and takethe first path to the right.

14. To get to Malalo Ya Chui, continue on the path to the right of Cedar Lodge and a fewhundred feet past the Wolf Den trail to a wide trail on the right which leads to Malalo.

15. If the main parking lot is full or you’ve been asked to meet at our “Coho Ridge” location,you’ll find this additional lot back out on 320th Ave. just before the fork betweenMosswood Hollow and Wilderness Awareness School’s main property, through anorange gate on the left (coming from Duvall).

Our land is called Linne Doran (Gaelic for “Pond of the Otter”), and consists of over 40 acres of mature and second growth forest as well as the area’s namesake pond and wetlands. The campus is adjacent to the large forest lands of the Cascade foothills, just west of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness Area. www.wildernessawareness.org
