Professional Experience
WIC Senior Nutritionist, Limestone County Health Department March 2012-‐Present I was promoted to Senior Nutritionist in order to coordinate WIC program activities at the county level. In addition to my role as a Nutritionist, my supervisory and administrative duties as WIC coordinator are training new employees, implementing new and existing state and federal policies and procedures, recommending special formulas, monitoring high risk WIC participants, completing monthly participation reports, vendor management, coordinating outreach events, and traveling to multiple WIC clinics.
WIC Nutritionist, Morgan County Health Department July 2010-‐ February 2012
My duties as a WIC Nutritionist include completing nutrition assessments by identifying risk factors, goals and follow-‐up needs, and providing individualized family nutrition and wellness counseling,
Special projects I have coordinated at the health department include the Scale Back Alabama weight loss program, the Good Choice vending machine project, and nutrition presentations in the community. Additionally, I travelled to the State WIC office several times to be involved with implementation of a new statewide WIC operating system, the Crossroads SAM Project.

I completed my degree with a 3.8 GPA. I submitted my original research review “The Role of Inflammation and Hepcidin in Iron Deficiency of the Overweight Pediatric Population” to a peer-‐reviewed journal.
Dietetic Internship, Murray State University August 2009-‐April 2010 I completed rotations working alongside RD preceptors in community nutrition, food service, clinical nutrition, long-‐term care, and rehabilitation services. I also finished 18 credit hours of graduate studies in nutrition at MSU. This nine-‐month program was done in Jackson, TN at various sites.

Qualifications
I passed the national Registered Dietitian examination on September 1, 2010. AND Registration ID: 1008822.
I am a Licensed Dietitian in the state of Alabama, and I am willing to obtain licensure in another state.
My strengths as an RD include accurate and concise documentation, knowledge of medical nutrition formulas, meal planning, working in a multi-‐disciplinary health care team, experience in cardiac and diabetic diet education, understanding of the biology and chemistry of food components and metabolism, mathematical calculations involving food and nutrition, public health and wellness promotion, and writing nutrition intervention plans.
Personally, my strong points are organization, dedication, creativity, and adaptability.
I have advanced skills in computer applications, nutrition research and statistics, training and assisting people, team leading, making pamphlets and flyers, nutrient analysis, and working with children.
