Link to cell featureYou can connect your base unit and cellularphone using Bluetooth wireless technology, sothat you can make or answer cellular callsusing your phone system. This allows you to:– use the unit to talk on cellular calls even if
some areas of your home have poorcellular reception, simply by placing yourcellular phone in an area with goodreception.
– talk on cellular calls even if your cellularphone is in your pocket or bag.
– enjoy cordless cellular calls even if yourcellular phone plugged in and charging.
Important:R Your cellular phone must support the
Hands Free Profile (HFP) specification.R You may pair 2 cellular phones and 1
headset.R The unit can be used to talk on 2 lines at
the same time (for example, 2 cellular lines,or the landline and 1 cellular line).
R Only 2 Bluetooth devices can be used withthe unit at the same time (for example, 2cellular lines, or the headset and 1 cellularline).
R Locate your cellular phone near the baseunit. If the cellular phone is too close to thebase unit during a cellular call, you mayhear noise. For best performance, werecommend placing the cellular phonebetween 0.6 m to 3 m (2 feet to 10 feet)away from the base unit.
Pairing a cellular phoneImportant:R For more details and the list of compatible

R Before pairing a Bluetooth enabled cellularphone to the base unit, make sure that noother Bluetooth device such as a Bluetoothheadset is connected to your cellular phone.

on the base unit starts flashing, therest of the procedure must becompleted within 5 minutes.
2 Your cellular phone:While the corresponding CELL indicatoris flashing, follow the instructions of yourcellular phone to enter the pairing mode.R Depending on your cellular phone, it
may ask you to enter the BluetoothPIN (default: “0000”). If your cellularphone shows PassKey confirmation onits display, follow the directions toproceed.
3 Handset:Wait until a long beep sounds.R It may take more than 10 seconds to
complete pairing.R When the corresponding CELL
indicator lights up, the cellular phone isconnected to the base unit. You areready to make cellular calls.
4 MOFFNNote:R Make sure that your cellular phone is set to
connect to this product automatically. Referto your cellular phone’s operatinginstructions.
R Make sure you cancel your cellular phone’scurrent pairing if you want to pair it to theother line (page 15).

Using Call Display serviceImportant:R This unit is Call Display compatible. To use
Call Display features, you must subscribeto a Call Display service. Contact yourservice provider/telephone company fordetails.
Call Display featuresWhen an outside call is being received, thecaller information is displayed.Caller information for the last 50 callers islogged in the caller list from the most recentcall to the oldest.R If the unit cannot receive caller information,
the following is displayed:– “Unavailable Name & No.”: The
caller dials from an area which does notprovide a Call Display service.
– “Private caller”: The callerrequests not to send caller information.
– “Long distance”: The caller makes along distance call.
R If the unit is connected to a PBX system,caller information may not be properlyreceived. Contact your PBX supplier.
Missed callsIf a call is not answered, the unit treats it as amissed call. The display shows “Missedcall”.Note:R Even when there are unviewed missed
calls, “Missed call” disappears from thestandby display if the following operation isperformed by one of the units:– A handset is replaced on the base unit
or charger.– Pressing MOFFN on a handset.
Phonebook name displayWhen caller information is received and itmatches a phone number stored in thephonebook, the stored name in thephonebook is displayed and logged in thecaller list.
Talking Call DisplayHandset / Base unit
This feature lets you know who is callingwithout looking at the display.To use this feature, you must:– subscribe to a Call Display service of your
service provider/telephone company.– turn this feature on (page 35).When caller information is received, thehandsets and/or base unit announce thecaller’s name or phone number received fromyour service provider/telephone companyfollowing every ring.R Name pronunciation may vary. This feature
may not pronounce all names correctly.R Call Display service has a limit of how
many characters can be displayed. If thecaller’s name is too long, the unit may notbe able to display or announce the entirename.
Phonebook name announcementWhen caller information is received and itmatches a phone number stored in thephonebook, the stored name in thephonebook is announced.
For Call Waiting Deluxe serviceusersTo use Call Waiting Deluxe, you mustsubscribe to Call Waiting Deluxe from yourservice provider/telephone company. Copying phonebook from acellular phone (phonebooktransfer)You can copy phonebook entries from thepaired cellular phones or other cellular phones(not paired) to the unit’s phonebook. A cellularphone must be compatible with Bluetoothwireless technology.Important:R Your cellular phone must support Phone

Remote access codeA 3-digit remote access code must be enteredwhen operating the answering systemremotely. This code prevents unauthorizedparties from listening to your messagesremotely. The default setting is “111”.Important:R To prevent unauthorized access to this

EXCHANGE PROGRAM
Panasonic Canada Inc. warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and for a period as stated below from the date of original purchase agrees to, at its option either (a) repair your product with new or refurbished parts, (b) replace it with a new or a refurbished equivalent value product, or (c) refund your purchase price. The decision to repair, replace or refund will be made by Panasonic Canada Inc.

This warranty is given only to the original purchaser, or the person for whom it was purchased as a gift, of a Panasonic brand product mentioned above sold by an authorized Panasonic dealer in Canada and purchased and used in Canada, which product was not sold “as is”, and which product was delivered to you in new condition in the original packaging.

The warranty ALSO DOES NOT COVER damages which occurred in shipment, or failures which are caused by products not supplied by Panasonic Canada Inc., or failures which result from accidents, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, faulty installation, set-up adjustments, misadjustment of consumer controls, improper maintenance, improper batteries, power line surge, lightning damage, modification, introduction of sand, humidity or liquids, commercial use such as hotel, office, restaurant, or other business or rental use of the product, or service by anyone other than a Authorized Servicer, or damage that is attributable to acts of God.
Rechargeable batteries are warranted for ninety (90) days from date of original purchase.
THIS EXPRESS, LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
