THE ART OF INNOVATIVE SHREDDING.

LINDNER-RECYCLINGTECH GOES AROUND THE WORLD.

This title has not been chosen randomly. Over the past two years, not only the sales network has been strongly extended, but also a lot of new customers have been won who now rely on intelligent and tailor-made solutions from the shredding pioneers in Carinthia / Austria.

The machine factory that was founded in 1948 has become a dynamic international company. The core business of the enterprise is shredding technology. From planning to development, construction and production - from Sales and Distribution to a comprehensive After-Sales-Service … everything is from one source. Lindner-Recyclingtech has particularly demonstrated that it is also a leading specialist for shredding- and processing systems for the production of refuse derived fuels (RDF) from domestic, industrial and commercial waste. Acting strategically wise and taking the right measures for sound growth at the right time is the overarching credo for our independent family-owned and -managed business. For our customers, this has several advantages like flexibility, drive, maximum efficiency and top achievements at top quality. It is imperative, after all, that we meet requirements like high throughput rates, maximum availability, optimal output, durability, safety, ease of maintenance and above all the lowest possible production cost. Responsible for that is the newly formed management team around CEO DI Manuel Lindner. Franz Strasser (Head of Production & Technology), Hans Sagerschnig (Head of Commercial Finance) and Gerd Tischner (Head of Sales and Marketing) were appointed Authorized Signatories in their respective functions. Record turnover creates growth. In spite of the economic crisis and the generally difficult basic conditions in our industry, 2011 turned out to be the best trading year since the inception of the company. 39.2 million Euros have been generated by the Lindner team with more than 200 employees. Part of this was reinvested directly into future-orien-ted projects in the areas of manufacturing, further training and education as well as research and de-velopment. At the same time, implementation of the ISO quality management system was completed.

To not only look back happily, but also start creating tomorrow today – that is the LindnerART. For the next two years, a 5.1 million Euro investment program has already been started. There are markets to be conquered and new customers and partners to be won.

MOBILIS ING LINDNER.

NEW MEMBER OF THE LINDNER GROUP IN GERMANY.

At the end of 2011, the Lindner Group has gai-ned another member. Lindner Mobile Shredder is based in Eisenach (Thuringia / Germany) and specializes in mobile double shaft shredders that are constructed, produced and marketed on lo-cation.

Head of Sales Gerhard Buhl and the Head of Technology Stefan Seiler bring their long-standing experience and entire industry know-how to the new enterprise and want to establish the proven Lindner quality in mobile double shaft shredding technology, as well. Brand-new and up-to date, the “mobile power pack” URRACO 75 is premiered at the IFAT 2012.

Thus Lindner complies with a request often ex-pressed by customers. With mobile shredders, the-re is now a flexible shredding solution to reduce the volumes of scrap wood, domestic, commer-

cial and bulky waste and for processing of root-stock, wood logs and biomass material. The mobi-le shredders will be available with diesel as well as electrical power systems.

POWER PLAY

In autumn 2010, Andreas Schwarz set forth to do pioneering work for Lindner-Recyclingtech in the land of opportunity. Since then, the Lindner Ame-rica LLC trading company has caused quite a stir west of the Atlantic.

One of the biggest waste management compa-nies on the North American continent has been sold on the Lindner technology and has so far ac-quired two secondary shredders. A Power Komet and a Vega have also found their way across the pond. Beyond that, a universal shredder has been installed at Waste Recovery Solutions in Pennsyl-vania and a further one is on its way to Indiana. The Canadian plastics recycling company EFS has ordered a Lindner machine for Toronto. To-gether with LINDNER reSource, Lindner shredders have also been positioned successfully in the field of plastics compounding; our mutual presence at the exhibition in Orlando in April 2012 already be-ars fruit. In order to serve that market even more intensely and offer even more service, a show-room is being planned.

Effective teamwork between staff, distributors and the company network – at Lindner this is integ-rated company philosophy. The members of the Lindner Group are flexible, self-sufficient compa-nies and virtually unbeatable in the Lindner net-work. A congenial partnership with different focal points is cultivated as we offer our comprehensive portfolio of products and services around shred-ding technology and processing of refuse derived fuels (RFD).

POWER PLAYTHE „PLASTIC-PROS“CARRY ON WHERE OTHERS LEAVE OFF.

Bernhard Unterlerchner, CEO

Harald Hoffmann and his team in Großbottwar are THE people to contact for planning and implementation of shredding plants for effective resour-ce processing, especially in the field of plastics and recycling. By spe-cializing in this area, they can react to market trends even faster and develop customer-oriented solutions competently.

The latest coup of LINDNER reSource is two newly installed Vega L 1100 at Lohner Kunststoffrecycling . At an unchanged throughput rate, the power input could be reduced by 50 percent with the Lindner shredders. Since the beginning of operations, the cost for pre-shredding of production waste has also been reduced significantly.

Due to these positive experiences with Lindner technology and in order to increase their capacities, an additional Micromat 2000 has been commissioned at LKR.

„With our current modernization and expansion of machinery equipment, we bank on the well-known reliability and long life-span of the Lindner systems. With them, we have the crucial prerequisites for the uninterrupted supply of our customers with granulates and mill material in Germany, Europe and overseas”, says director of Lohner Kunststoffrecycling, Jan-Hendrik Wilming.

ALL SYSTEMS „GO“ WITH THE LINDNER MECHATRONIC ENGINEERS.What’s good about a complex plant without ade-quate controls? Nothing – that’s why the corpo-rate connection between Lindner-Recyclingtech and Lindner E-Tech is a perfect symbiosis for cus-tomers. From the creation of programs via graphic display of the entire plant, right up to the link-up with a central control- or computer system – the Lindner electronics engineers deliver everything from one source.

The intelligent control technology of Lindner E-Tech is flexible due to their modular bus-system - and extendable, if required. Even when the plants are in use, Lindner E-Tech remains in touch with

their customers and due to remote service is in a position to offer continuous support directly at the machine. Due to reliability and professionalism, their turnover could be increased by 39 percent from 2010 to 2011. Like in all Lindner companies, the focus with Lindner E-Tech is on their customers: in 2012, the support and consulting services will be extended further and investments in Research & Development will be made.

Lindner-Recyclingtech is a strong and reliable partner for its staff, its customers, suppliers, distribu-tors and for the public. Fairness, loyalty and open and honest communication are the basis for our mutual success. Our numerous long-standing busi-ness relations are proof that this appreciative con-duct with each other is also an integral part of our daily business.

Teamplayers with passion and innovative spirit are always welcome.„Lindnerians“ are a strong community with decla-red objectives. New challenges and the desire to actively participate in the success of the compa-ny drive them to peak performances every day. Lindner offers interesting fields of activity to peo-ple from very diverse backgrounds. It is often pre-cisely the persons coming to Lindner from other professions who then develop their full potential and advance to key positions. Professional and personal development plays a big role at Lindner. For people with passion and initiative, there are

always interesting possibilities for further qualifica-tion and advancement.

Career with apprenticeship. To start an apprenticeship with Lindner-Recycling-tech means to become part of a stable interna-tional company. Over the past ten years, more than 90 young men and women have successfully completed their apprenticeships and became metal technicians or electrical engineers with a different main focus. Apprentices can expect an exciting work environment in a future-oriented in-dustry. The “Apprenticeship with Matura” is also an opportunity that is often used at Lindner.

Apprentice at Lindner E-Tech – at 47 years of age. That’s what we call true passion. Interest and the willingness to perform were the strong motives for Herbert Leitner to start over. The result: an excel-lent degree and an exciting position at Lindner E-Tech as an electrical engineering technician - a great success story. Congratulations.

„The value of a company is not composed of buildings and banknotes. Valuable in a company are only those human beings who work for it, and the spirit in which they do it.” (Heinrich Nordhoff)

Open door for new distributors. Lindner continues to grow. To facilitate that, we need reliable and committed partners who re-present the Lindner brand name well and want to spread the spirit of “The ART of innovative Shred-ding” further. Wende Recyclingtech s.c. in Poland and MachTech Services Ltd in the United Kingdom are showcase companies for very successful Lind-ner cooperation. Further enterprises who want to follow these examples and become part of the Lindner network are always welcome at Lindner-Recyclingtech.

Lindner Marketing comes in a fourpack. Lindner does not only want to convince with the quality of their products, but also leave their “fingerprints”. That means: Lindner is Lindner and does not equal any other company. Innovative products, great ideas, new markets, demands, partners, customers, remarkable successes … all that forms part of the playing field for the four-strong marketing team headed by Petra Feichter. The four approach their multifaceted tasks with creativity and professionalism. They bet on con-sequent customer-orientation and actively work hand in hand with the other departments on the lasting success of the company.

LINDNER SHINES IN SOUTH-EAST ASIA.

Militz and Lindner found each other and decided to team up in South-East Asia. REMONDIS (one of the biggest companies in water- and recycling management worldwide) and companies of the LM|||Group (Ludden & Mennekes Entsorgungs-systeme, SUTCO Recyclingtechnik, unoTech) are also on board at Recycling Partners. Meanwhile, Militz has also been able to acquire Jeffrey Loo – an experienced technician who has previous-ly worked for prestigious German companies - as Business Development Manager for Lindner and SUTCO. Militz and Loo are actively supported by Michael Hofer at the Lindner headquarters, an ex-pert in international project management.

Jürgen Militz looks back on 25 years of professional experience in support of business markets and the development of business services in the region. In South-East Asia, he can not only access a compre-hensive network, but is also represented in Singa-pore with his company Recycling Partners Pte. Ltd. since 2011.

Lindner Recyclingtech and RDF – inseparably connected. To create high quality secondary resources from waste for the industry – that was and is the am-bition of Lindner-Recyclingtech. The processing of climate friendly, refuse derived fuels (RDF) from waste is one of the core competences of Lindner-Recyclingtech.

More and more businesses like cement plants, energy providers and the steel industry for ex-ample focus on environment-friendly alternatives to brown coal and anthracite or crude oil and also, therefore, on reduced CO2 emissions. Refuse derived fuels (RDF) are extracted from commer-cial, communal and private waste. Because of the diverse composition of these types of waste, there are individual and often extremely deman-ding requirements for the processing technology.

Thanks to innovative concepts, the Lindner intelligent modular design and especially the high degree of efficiency and relia-bility, Lindner shredders and the Lindner RDF compact plants consistently set new standards in the industry. Taking only the Lindner KOMET and POWER KOMET secondary shredders presently in operation, an impressive total of about eleven million tons of output granulate per annum (2-shift ope-ration, output granulate < 30 mm) is produced at the moment. We want this figure to grow - worldwide, just like Lindner. We want more custo-mers like Chris Mountain (Mid UK Re-cycling Ltd) to say: “I can’t understand why every waste company isn’t operating one of these.”

Commercial, domestic and bulky waste is only a part of them – plastics of all kind, Tetrapak, re-jects, paper, cellulose insulating material, textiles, carpets, rubber, tires, electronic scrap, cables or straw are also reduced to the right size by Lind-ner single shaft shredders. Every material makes different demands on a shredding machine, just like customers pursue different objectives with the reduction of their material.

Customers rightly expect competence and quali-ty from Lindner. On the basis of our proven and re-liable technologies, we constantly develop further, break new ground and find the right concepts for very different tasks. The Lindner modular const-ruction system and the accomplishments at the Lindner Technical Center enable us to find tailor-

made shredding solutions. However demanding or unusual the material to be shredded may be – at Lindner we always help out any way we can and test the feasibilities for the desired reduction, if required.

The Lindner staff will gladly support you with their long-standing experience when you have to choose the best technical and economical pro-cessing technology – even beyond shredding technology. Your requirements are our individual assignment.

L INDNER SHREDDING TECHNOLOGY.

THE BEST FROM WASTE.“Shredding, separating and conveying waste, that’s what the machines and plant components we build do”, says Ing. Gerd Tischner, Head of Sa-les and Marketing. But not only alternative fuels are extracted from waste. Resource processing and volume reduction are also big fields of ap-plication. Many different materials have to be shredded before they can be processed further or disposed of.

STATE OF THE L INDNERART. REDUCE TO THE MAX.

THE LINDNER INTELLIGENT MODULAR DESIGN. NO ‘OFF-THE-SHELF’ SHREDDER. There are different kinds of waste. Every material is different, that’s why every customer has specific requirements for his new shredder. In order to do justice to this variety, Lindner relies on a well thought-out modular construction system. Up to 80 percent of the components used by Lindner are applied in all our machine types.

This has several advantages: machines can be adjusted to individual requirements with ut-most flexibility; throughput times are reduced, and therefore delivery times are shorter as well; training time and effort required is lower when several Lindner shredders are operated, at the same time safety for operating staff increases because risks with maintenance work are mi-nimized. In addition to that, there are potenti-al savings at warehousing-costs for spare parts

when several Lindner shredders are operated. With the intelligent modular design, there is no desired specification we cannot deliver. The MI-CROMAT universal shredder for example can be configured in approximately 120 different variations. Highly satisfied customers worldwide reduce materials of all kind with Lindner techno-logy and contented, successful customers are the ultimate ambition of Lindner-Recyclingtech.

UNLIMITED POTENTIAL.OUR VISION IS INNOVATION.

Page 10: Lindner Plastics Recyclig Equipment

Schmidl can build on a strong foundation for his task: permanent and immediate availability of Lindner spare parts, the comprehensive data-base of the Lindner Technical Center with data analyses for different combinations of machines and materials, the intelligent controls from Lindner E-Tech that facilitate direct support with remote maintenance.

A 15-strong service team is available for world-wide deployment. In many countries, additional extensive services are offered by our distributors. All service technicians in the field for Lindner are regularly trained for the latest technologies. Says Manuel Lindner, CEO: “We not only build robust and reliable shredders, we also want to look after our customers for the entire life cycle of the ma-chines and plant components in the best possible way.”

Quality down to the very last detail. Original spare parts pay for themselves. A Lindner shredder is made of approximately 700 single parts. Your original Lindner machine is assembled with them: it is robust, reliable and durable. Many invisible quality features of these sin-gle parts see to it, that your machine keeps what it pro-mises. For the shredder to fulfill its main duty – reduce many different kinds of materials – the quality of the single components is crucial; the knives are particularly important.

We often see that in order to decrease running costs, expenses are reduced for the most needed parts – the knives and other wear parts. Instead of high quality knives, cheap imports from the Far East are used. But the supposed advantage often turns out to be a ‘machine-killer’ and an enor-mous cost trap.

Unfavourable steel compounds and insufficiently supervised hardening processes can have dire consequences because the knives either break very quickly or disengage from the knife holder altogether. Parts moving around in the machine then not only damage the cutting system, but at worst the results are expensive damages and ma-chine downtime. We at Lindner therefore also fo-cus on quality for knives as well as spare and wear parts. High quality spare and wear parts contribu-te to long life spans and high throughput rates of

Lindner shredders and ultimately reduce the cost for maintenance and material.

Only high quality parts ensu-re that the original features

and efficiency of machines and plant components are maintained in the long run.

The high Lindner quality and safety standards as well as state-of-the-art technology

are only guaranteed with origi-nal parts.

Lindner-Recyclingtech is always careful to choose the best partners in order to establish a longstan-ding and trustful cooperation. Our distributors are ambassadors of the Lindner brand. Together with them, we achieve excellent results in many markets.

LINDNER DISTRIBUTORS.

ACHIEVING GOALS TOGETHER.

Piotr Panto! (Wende Recyclingtech s.c.) has re-presented the Lindner brand in Poland for 15 years with great commitment and a lot of enthusiasm. Panto! has trusted in the quality and efficiency of Lindner products from the very beginning, and Lindner trusts Panto!. The results are respectable: more than 120 shredders and 13 RDF compact plants have been installed successfully. We are sure that none of our competitors in Poland have as many happy customers as the Wende-Lindner team.

Joe Hoyle (MachTech Services Ltd.) is also one of our most successful partners. Like the entire “Lindner Family”, MachTech not only simply sells shredders; they also represent the Lindner qua-lity standards and the Lindner ideas of service and innovation. Mid UK Recycling Ltd. - a pio-

neer in the British waste industry - is one of the most convinced MachTech/Lindner customers in England. Twelve Lindner shredders have already been commissioned there. MachTech and Lind-ner have every intention to welcome many more customers with open arms.

Kari Strandvall (Luminer Oy) is responsible for cus-tomer liaison and support on the Finnish market. Processing of waste and refuse derived fuels (RDF) are important in Finland, too and Strandvall approa-ches the challenges of his customers with dedica-tion and a lot of enthusiasm. In 2011 the first RDF compact plant was implemented in Finland, others will follow. The Lindner-Luminer cooperation is more than just doing business in parallel – working in con-cert, we offer professional competence and the best service and support for our Finnish customers.

At this point, we are also asking the ‘youngest’ Lindner partners to step in front of the curtain: In Portugal a couple of projects have already materialized with G.Höfle Lda. André Gomes, the ‘Lindnerian’ at G.Höfle Lda, puts a lot of energy and passion in ‘his’ Lindner machines and has many plans. He gets all the support he needs from Lindner – together we will achieve more!

The strong economic growth over the last few ye-ars, especially in the cement industry, called for more intense customer service in Turkey. The Lind-ner presence in Turkey was therefore strengthe-ned with a new partner: KOAS Ltd. Arkin Korur is al-ready successful in the market and he, too wants to convince many more customers with Lindner technology.
