a) M Robinson said that a letter of thanks had been sent to Andrew Beer following his SpringLecture.

b) HehadsentanemailtoDistrictsabouttheTasterSessionandhadresentinformationtoBBKA’sARKandtheLBKAwebsiteastherehadbeenaproblemwiththeseinitially.MSealcommentedthatBBKAseemtobestrugglingwithadmingenerallyatthemoment.EGaddsuggestedthatanadfortheTastercouldgoontheThorne’swebsite

3. FeedbackfromtheBeeHealthDaya) E Gadd said it would be helpful to get some of the information from the feed back forms

distributedbyAWattam.Agreedbyothersthiswouldbeuseful.EGaddtocontactAWattam.b) Thoseat theeventall agreed ithadbeenagooddaybut said that sometimes inspectorKeith

Morgan had not given enough information, especially for newer beekeepers. There was alsoconcernthatnumbersinonegroupweretoohighat19.

c) In one group bee inspectors in the apiary were divertedmore into general husbandry issuesratherthandemonstratingadiseaseinspection.

d) Itwassuggestedthata4thelementcouldbeincludedinthedayeitheronhusbandryingeneralor on Nosema with microscopes. M Robinson said he would be happy to do the latter. ThepossibilityofusingaroomatThorneswassuggested.

e) MSeal to raise these issueswithAWattamwhohad suggested thathecouldbecontacted inDecember2016toarrangeasimilareventfor2017

4. AutumnLecturea) CSmithsaid that thevenuehadbeenbooked.Followingdiscovery thatWilliamFarrwouldbe

unavailableRiseholmeCollegehadbeencontactedandagreedtomakearoomavailableintheirnewShowgroundCampusthatisaccessedviagate3fromTillbridgeLane.Therateandtermswillbe similar to previous ones. All agreed we should take up the offer to view the premises inSeptember.

b) MRobinson has produced a poster,which has been sent toDistricts, ARK and theQR. Itwassuggested thatotherpossibilities forpublicity couldbeThorneswebsite,BBKANews,BeecraftandLincolnshireEventswebsite.

c) NeedtocheckRiseholmerePAsystem.MRobinsonsaidhemaybeabletoborrowsomethingisonenotavailable.

d) Checkarrangementsfortravelandhostinglecturers.5. TasterSession:

a) MSealsaidthatnumberswerefairlylowatthemomentandinclude3under18s.b) Hewillbeawaytheweekbeforetheevent;CSmithsaidshewillcoveranylateapplications.c) Number of demonstrators needed was discussed and decided in view of lower numbers
