On Friday the 13th of March we held our Sports Day; it was a fantastic day for all. Thank you
to the many parents who supported the day - your children enjoyed sharing the day with
you. Congratulations to all students, who showed Resilience in having a go and bouncing
back, Respect by encouraging everyone to have a go, built positive Relationships by
working together as a team and Responsibility by getting to events on time and looking
after the sporting equipment.
Three way interviews will be conducted this week via the phone; they are designed to
keep you informed about your child’s learning at school. Your child’s teachers will share
your child’s One Plan with you and give you time for questions. Parents who have not
booked in a time will be called at the convenience of the teacher.
I would like inform you about the precautionary measures that we are putting in place due

and the Bullying No Way event on Friday the 20th
Three Way Parent conferences will be conducted via a phone call. Parents who have
booked in will receive today the day and time your child’s teacher will call you. Any
parents who have not indicated a time - your child’s teacher will call you next week to
discuss their learning and One Plan goals and aims
We are frequently cleaning and promoting good hygiene practices: All work areas

high use areas/items such as door handles, switches, ipads, the bus, laptops, and desks.
We are ensuring students wash their hands before eating and coughing/sneezing into
their elbow or a tissue
The Community Hub will cease all program except the morning breakfast program,
supplying fruit and toast to classes and emergency lunches
We ask that if your child is feeling unwell that you keep them at home and inform the
school

What a busy past couple of weeks. It has been great watching
whole school events such as Sports Day and Play is the Way on
Fridays. The Garage has also been very busy with its permanent
bookings and students wanting support in de-escalating their
heightened emotions.
The SRC has started meeting and as a group have decided that
Lunch Time Activities should commence again this year. Lunch Time
Activities will be based around students interests and give students
more choices of safe and engaging activities to participate in during
lunch. Some activities may include: art, sports, Lego/building and
board games.
Students have also expressed interest in having an Easter Egg Hunt in the last week of
school to help celebrate the end of term.
Harmon Day and Bullying No Way
During this term Amanda Parker and Kylie Fitzgerald’s F/1 class has been working closely
with students from the Port Lincoln Special School. Through this process students have
continued to build on their positive communication and social inclusion across the two
schools. On Friday, as part of Harmony Day and Bullying No Way a small ceremony with the
two schools was going to take place. During this event the new Community Hub wall was
going to be unveiled. Unfortunately, due to current circumstances this could not happen
but we will keep you posted when the event will take place in the future.
Port Adelaide Football Club Visit
In week 6, we were lucky enough to have players from the Port Adelaide Football Club visit
us. During this time, they discussed with the students the importance of keeping ourselves
healthy by the foods we eat, exercising, and getting enough sleep each night. They also
spoke about that even though they have careers in football they are continuing to learn
new skills in football and having a career outside of football.
