GENERAL BACKGROUND Linares is divided into 40 Local Units.Pilot Program initiated in May 2002 in the community with inadequate working conditions :No office space of its own, no computers, scarce mobility, lack of knowledge of the program by those who would be members of the network. No Law exited which would guarantee the functioning of the system. Currently although the situation has not improved 100%, we can say that thanks to the 19, 949 Law, there has been a noticeable change.
Structure and functioning of the Family Intervention Unit Unit Head, administrative secretary, 11 family support counselors. One Family support Counselor is charged with attending to the local units on time. In other words, the counselors are locally distributed. The team holds meetings every Wednesday, and there they share experiences, coordinate the work and the information.
Equitable distribution of vehicle use, computer and assistance by counselors.
Permanent contact and management with more than 60 public and private institutions, which form part of the local intervention network. Family Support Counselors work half day. The team presents a high level of distribution of roles and functions, which indicates designations of responsibility on specific themes.
