FADE IN:

INT. LAB - DAY

A grey walled dull lab space set up with chemistry equipment. The door has a United States Secret Service inscription. RACHEL (mid thirties) wears a lab coat and holds a clipboard. She walks over to a cabinet and opens it. Three babies in tubes are almost fully grown. The tubes are labelled "ELLA" "SYDNEY" "ISABEL" There are wires connecting the three babies brains.

Rachel begins to reach towards one of the babies but hears a sound and closes the cabinet.She rushes over to a lab bench and looks intently at her sheet.

PETER, a skinny tall anxious looking man with glasses (early thirties) storms in.

PETERHe's headed here. We have 5 minutes tops.

RACHELWe need to move quick, Is everything packed we need.

PETERAlmost, uhh I uh..

RACHELSpit it out!

PETERI think Sara got the files with the reasearch when she was snooping around, but I managed to get the restriction enzymes and more extra-celluar fluid and..

RACHELOkay, That will have to do.

Rachel runs over to the cabinet and carefully transfers each tube into a cooler. She slings the cooler's strap over her shoulder bearing the obvious weight with ease. She looks back at Peter who is panicked stuffing various other chemicals into his bag. The computer monitor shows a van pulling into the front of the building.

RACHELAll right, lets go. The bastards arrived.

She heads towards the door but stops to take one last glance at the lab. She reaches into side pocket of the cooler and pulls out a gun. Peter looks nervous but tries to keep his cool.

INT. HALLWAY - DAY

Rachels peers out of the room to check the coast is clear. They enter the hallway cautiously.

PETERWe will keep them safe.

They share a reassuring glance, each take one side of the cooler, and begin to run down the hallway towards the exit.

EXT. DIRT ROAD - DAY

TITLES "16 YEARS LATER"

Three pairs of feet shuffle, kicking up dirt. ELLA (16) wears a hoodie. She hunches forward and stares at her feet. She is wearing scuffed up tennis shoes. IZZY (16) has a full face of makeup on and she wears a skirt and nice blouse with black stylish boots. SYDNEY (16) wears a t-shirt that says "I wear this shirt periodically" and has a periodic table on it. She has a book on quantum psychics in her hand.

In the distance there is small red farm house in between corn fields. Rachel watches from the front door.

IZZY (V.O)Is she still watching.

Sydney looks back and waves. Rachel waves back.

SYDNEY (V.O)Yeah.

IZZY (V.O)We aren't babies, why won't she just go inside it's so embarrassing.

Ella looks back to and then down to her feet, purposefully kicking up the dirt. Izzy points to her shoes.

They approach a bus stop. A car flies past from behind startling them. Two boys hang out of the windows.

BOY ONEYo, hot stuff, like our ride!

IZZY (V.O)Fucking assholes.

Izzy gives them a middle finger as they zoom away.

ELLA (V.O)At least you aren't hearing their thoughts.

IZZYIf mom would just let us get our licenses we wouldn't have to put up with that shit.

IZZY (V.O)Does it really count as a conversation if you never actually talk out loud.

She gives Ella a look and Ella rolls her eyes, staring out over the fields.

They approach the bus stop ten kids wait. ANNA BETH runs up to Izzy.

ANNA BETHIZZY, why haven't you been answering my texts, we are in Crisis mode John is saying he wants to quit the play and we have no one who could replace him.

The bus pulls to the stop and kids board.

IZZYDon't worry I am sure I can convince him.

ELLA (V.O)Yeah sure "convince" him, get real.

Ella rolls her eyes at Izzy in a teasing way as Izzy brushes of the comment without notice.

SYDNEY (V.O)You aren't supposed to use your powers.

IZZY (V.O)Oh fuck off I really do just mean convince.

Izzy shoots them both a stern look. They all begin to board the bus and Izzy heads with Anna Beth to the back.

IZZYI will see you at the end of the day.

IZZY (V.O)Stay out of trouble.

Izzy winks at them and Ella and Sydney settle into a row besides one another. Sydney reads her book and Ella plugs in earphones and stares out window.

INT. GYM - DAY

A bell rings. a group of girls play basketball in gym. Ella sits on a bench in gym clothes. The COACH blows a whistle.

COACHAlright, El, you're up! Come on! hustle!

Ella drags herself from the bench and jogs onto the court. COURTNEY a blonde girl in tight gym shorts holds the ball. She turns to a group of girls wearing the same color jersey as her.

COURTNEYOh great we get the useless one.

They all chuckle. Ella morosely joins them in a huddle.

COURTNEYAll right we are gonna run a two three, Angie, Melissa you are in the back with the freak.

She turns directly to Ella.

COURTNEYJust stay down by the goal and be ready if your open. Otherwise, stay out of the way.

The huddle breaks and Ella murmurs under her breath.

ELLAHell is other people.

Courtney whips back around at her.

COURTNEYWhat the fuck did you just say.

The whistle blows.

COACHCome on girls lets get this show on the road.

Courtney holds Ellas eye contact while she backs away. Two girls go head to head in a jump off. The ball is batted and lands in MELISSA's arms. She passes to Courtney. Ella stands down by the goal post, she is passively watching the action.

Sydney makes eye contact with her and shoves the ball as hard as she can in Ella's direction. WHACK. Ella is hit in the face and falls down. The whistle blows.

COACHMorrisey, that isn't how you play on a team, take a lap.

Courtney gives Ella a mean glare as she jogs a lap around the gym. Blood streams down Ella's nose.

COACHOh, man, this is a doozy. Angelica will you go grab the hazard kits, don't want any contamination.

Melissa grab the janitor to take care of the rest of this mess and y'all go wait in the lunchroom till everything's cleaned up, we don't want any law suits.

Angie runs over to the wall and grabs a hazard waste kit from a glass case. Above it a sign with a big cartoon blood drop surrounded by a circled X reads "Remember it just takes one drop. Approved by the National Public Health Initiative." Angie pulls out masks and gloves and hands them to each of the girls as they head out of the gym.

Coach puts on a pair of gloves and a mask, she goes over to Ella and takes her arm to pull her up.

COACHCome on Elle. Pick yourself up, we gotta get you to the nurse ASAP!

The JANITOR walks in and marks the territory off with hazard signs. The coach hoists a still dazed Ella up to her feet and supports her out of the room.

INT. HALLWAY - DAY

Ella and Coach walk down the school hallway. Ella stumbles a bit.

ELLAWait... wait I'm fine, it's fine.

COACHYou have shed a hefty amount of blood girlie, you know any blood that gets

into public spaces has to be tested, we don't want any bacterial infections going around.

ELLAI... I don't have any bacterial infections, I am fine, it barely even hurts anymore.

COACHI am sure you are fine but what is the harm in testing, plus it doesn't even hurt. Nurse Julia will take great care of you. You may even get to miss next period, I am sure you can't complain about that.

They approach a room labelled nurse. Coach gives it a light tap. Ella looks panicky. NURSE JULIA comes to answer the door and sees the blood running down Ella's chin onto her shirt.

NURSE JULIAOh my goodness. That is quite the gym accident. Come in, take a seat, we will fix you right up.

INT. NURSES OFFICE - DAY

Ella sits in a chair waiting for the nurse. The blood is gone and she has some light bruising. She holds an ice pack to the bridge of her nose. A sample of her blood sits in a test tube by a iron machine that looks similar to a centrifuge. There is a central red wire that attaches to an alarm above the machine.

She looks towards the door and closes her eyes listening for voices. Silence. She begins to creep out of the chair towards the vial. She gets to the machine and studies it for a second. Suddenly it makes a loud beep. Startled she runs back to her chair before the door flies open.

NURSE JULIAPerfect the machine is almost up and running. Since we are such a small district we haven't updated our model in years. This one takes forever compared to the newer models, but it will do.

She looks at Ella and realizes she is uncomfortable.

NURSE JULIAHoney I know how mean teenage girls can be, but your nose is gonna be just fine and you have your sisters, don't you?

ELLA (V.O)That's just great. A speech about how "teen girls are mean" give me a fucking break, you were a grade A bitch in high school.

Ella sees flashes of Nurse Julia in high school on top of the current Nurse Julia. The image of her as she pushes a girl into a locker before putting a cigarette out on her book superimposes onto the smiling Nurse Julia in front of Ella. Ella breaks her own thought up taking a deep breath and asking,

ELLAHow long will that test take?

Nurse Julia goes to the machine, plops the vial in and hits the go button.

NURSE JULIAOh maybe two hours but don't worry you can go ahead and leave, I won't keep you waiting the whole time, I'm sure everything will be in tip top shape and the blood has stopped. We just have to make sure no pathogens were released into the environment!

She gives Ella an overly enthusiastic smile and opens the door. Ella attempts to smile back but is unsuccessful.

INT. HALLWAY - DAY

Ella slowly walks out of Nurse's office. Once the door is shut she runs.

ELLA (V.O)HELLO, HELLO, MAY DAY, MAY DAY, WE ARE GOING DOWN, come on either of you, where are you, pick up.

She runs frantically up and down different hallways, trying to find her sisters. She collides into a TEACHER.

ELLASorry, I am just late for class.

She goes around the corner and then ducks into an empty classroom. She locks the door and closes her eyes.

ELLAAlright, focus breathe.

ELLA (V.O)SYDENY, IZZY WHERE ARE YOU?!

INT. THEATRE - DAY

Izzy stands at the front of the stage. JOHN and Anna Beth hold in an embrace.

IZZYNo no, this is all wrong, we need to go again and this time show a little more passion people, pick up the pace.

Ella gets louder and louder in her head.

ELLA (V.O)IZZY, SYDNEY, come in we have a real problem. Help!!

IZZYFuck

Everyone turns to look at her.

IZZYI... I need to leave!

Everyone looks at each other. JOHN, the lead, watches her leave.

JOHNWas I really that bad?

INT. CLASSROOM/HALLWAY - DAY

Ella sits in a dark corner of the classroom, a tear rolls down her cheek.

IZZY (V.O)Come on cry baby, pick it up keep moving, where are YOU!

Hearing Izzy's voice, Ella springs up and runs into the hallway.

INT. HALLWAY - DAY

Izzy and Ella run towards one another in different hallways.

IZZY (V.O)I will meet you in the front atrium, what class is Sydney supposed to be in?

SYDNEY (V.O)I was in chemistry, I spilled Beta-Glucuronidase. People are so dumb it's not even harmful, but I got sent to bathroom to rinse off.

All three girls nearly run into each other. They all go blank and stare at each other. Izzy and Sydney notice Ella's hurt nose.

IZZYTell me you didn't bleed?!

Ella stares at her feet. Izzy starts to get angry. Sydney looks shocked.

ELLAThe machine takes two hours.

IZZYOh fuck, Ella what the actual fuck, how did you manage to do in your whole fucking nose? We can't stay. This is so fucked!

Izzy paces back and forth loosing her cool. She turns straight into Ella's face.

Sydney puts herself in between them and hugs Ella.

SYDNEYBack off, I'm sure she didn't mean to. Your play is the least important thing here, statistically AND really.

ELLAIt was Courtney Morrisey, she threw a basketball at me.

IZZYThat bitch, she's always hated us.

ELLAWe need to call mom and get out of here.

IZZYWe don't want to set off any alarms. We should just leave.

SYDNEYMaybe we can stop the machine.

ELLAHere look at it.

Ella closes her eyes and thinks about the picture. The image appears in the hallway, only visible to the girls. Sydney studies the image. The parts connect and disconnect.

SYDNEYWell thats unfortunate... There isn't a way to stop it.. If we try that red alarm button goes off and the police are contacted right away. We are better off taking the two hours.

IZZYI can get us past the security guards, they won't even remember, lets just leave... NOW!

Ella is almost in tears, Sydney tries to comfort her, Izzy looks at her with some concern.

IZZYIt.. It's not your fault, but we really don't have time.

Izzy walks towards the door. Ella and Sydney look at each other and follow her.

EXT. SCHOOL GATE - DAY

Two security officers sit in a hut by the school gate. OFFICER ONE dully watches a security monitor. OFFICER TWO plays a game on his phone and eats from a school lunch tray.

The girls use parked cars to hide them as they slink away from school, once they are out of sight of the building they approach the security gate. Officer One notices them and stands up.

ELLA (V.O)He sees us.

IZZY (V.O)Stay calm, I will take care of it.

SYDNEY (V.O)I think I might have a panic attack.

IZZY (V.O)STAY CALM!

Izzy shoots Sydney a look and strolls out in front of the other two girls. Officer One comes out of the hut smiling.

OFFICER ONEHello ladies, what brings you down here today?

She cocks her head to the side as she says the last bit and uses her words to influence him. He looks confused for a moment but begins to nod his head.

OFFICER ONEOf course I understand, have a nice day ladies, get home safe.

Hearing this Officer Two takes notice and stands up.

OFFICER TWOWhoa whoa, You aren't about to just let these girls walk out of school? Did you sleep last night?

Officer One looks confused and sits down. Officer Two approaches the girls.

OFFICER TWOLadies I get it, school sucks, but you can't just leave. Come back with a signed note and we will be happy to call you a ride home.

IZZY You will let us go home. You won't remember us leaving.

He looks at them for a moment and then turns around towards the shed and returns to his game. The girls slip out of the gate and run a ways down the road till you can't see the school anymore.

EXT. ROAD - DAY

Izzy laughs.

IZZYUgh that was fun, I have missed that feeling.

SYDNEYIt's horrifying. That's what it is.

ELLAThey were good men, they will get fired for letting us go.

IZZYThey won't even remember besides we might get locked up, this isn't the time to be thinking about other people.

Izzy stops walking abruptly. The other two girls turn towards her. She stares Ella dead in the eyes.

IZZYYou should know better than anyone that people look out for themselves first, we have to look out for each other right now. We can't be Mother Teresa trying to save everyone's unconscious from their own selfish doom. Our LIVES are on the line.

Izzy brushes past the other two and resumes her stance walking ahead. Sydney follows. Ella looks back towards the school. An image of Officer One taking a bullet for a child superimposes on the road. Ella whispers to herself.

ELLAHis unconscious isn't selfish. He is a good man.

She turns back towards her sisters and the image fades away. She follows them up the road.

INT. FARMHOUSE - DAY

The girls enter the house. It is a rustic set up with some high tech elements. A screech from the security system goes off when they enter. Izzy presses her finger to a pad and its shuts off.

IZZYMOM.... PETER..

Ella closes her eyes and listens, hearing faint whispers of their voices.

ELLAThey must be in he barn, come on.

INT. BARN - DAY

The barn is set up as a lab, Rachel works at a table. She looks at a science experiment. Peter is at a big computer with a series of monitors. There are video cams up of the

property as well as a police database alert system. The houses alarm sound goes off and they both startle into action. Peter furiously pulls up video of the house as Rachel runs over to him. The sound goes off and they look at each other in fear.

RACHELWho is it, how did they shut down the systems that fast?

PETERI'm not sure the system is unbeatable, Sydney came up with the software and I have tried everything I know to beat it. There.

He pulls up a video of the house where they see the girls headed towards the barn.

RACHELWhy are they home now?

EXT. BARN - DAY

The girls are about to reach the barn when Rachel and Peter rush out. Rachel looks stern while Peter looks anxious.

RACHELWhy aren't you at school?

She studies them and notices Ellas nose. Her stern-ness turns into concern.

RACHELOh Ella what happened to your nose.

The realization creeps up on her and she puts her hand to her mouth. Bluntly she says.

RACHELYour nose bleed at school. How did it happen?

ELLACourtney Morrisey hit me with a basketball in gym class. They put it in the machine an hour ago and the nurse said it takes two hours to test.

RACHELBut you should have called us immideatly, grab your bags we need to be out of here in ten minutes. Peter will you check to make sure no police reports have been put out.

The girls all look nervous and scared. Rachel gathers them in a hug. Peter awkwardly joins.

RACHELWe're prepared for this. We will relocate it will just take a few weeks on the road. Heads up.

INT. SWANKY OFFICE COMPLEX - DAY

TOM JONES stands at the window of his lavish office. He turns towards a whiteboard with a science problem on it. A beautiful woman, SARA BELL wearing a red dress walks in. Tom gives her a mean glance.

TOMSara I told you not to interrupt me. When I agreed to help get you plastic surgery I didn't think they would block of your ear canals.

SARAI'm thrilled to see you are in such a good mood.

He sits in his chair angry. She smiles and walks over behind him putting her hands on his shoulders. She leans down and whispers into his ear.

SARAWe found them.

Tom jumps out of his chair and whips around to her. He looks incredible serious.

SARAThere was a blood match in a small district only 45 minutes from here. They have been right under our noses the whole time.

She winks at Tom as he examines the kids.

The girls load up a van marked with a bakery logo on the side. Peter already sits in the passenger seat looking ready to leave. Rachel comes out of the farm house gives it once last look and heads to the car.

Ella stands in front of the mirror. She looks at herself and studies her broken nose. Suddenly a wave of pain moves through her head and she buckles over the sink. She grabs her forehead and tries to get her sisters attention but can't concentrate.

She collapses to the floor of the bathroom.

Tom's shoulder is impaled and he takes cover behind one of the SUVS. The scissors impale every officer leaving them a clear path towards the back of the house into the woods. Izzy looks down at Ella who has crumpled into her sisters arms.

IZZY (V.O)We need to go, we have to.

Ella shakily nods her head and they all run desperately into the woods holding each others hands. Tom creeps back around the vehicle cradling his shoulder. He does not see where they are going. He angrily pulls the blade from his shoulder and approaches one of the only surviving officers. The officer is bleeding out and reaches out to him. Tom squats down and stabs the scissors through his heart.

The girls are running, stumbling through the woods. Sydney suddenly stops.

Tom sits in the wicker chair and Victor carefully places the gun on his desk and adjusts himself to look directly at Tom. The Butler comes and places tea in front of each of them. Tom unsure what to do with his hands in the chair quickly grabs the tea to hold. Victor continues to stare at him for an uncomfortably long amount of time before picking up his tea, they both sip from their glasses.

Peter sits gagged in a metal chair with his hands bound up behind him. His eye is swollen and blood drips from his eyebrow. The room is gray with no windows or mirrors, just a camera above the door pointing directly at him.

INT. MONITOR ROOM - DAY.

Room is set up with a big desk and several nice chairs, a monitor shows Peter in the other room. Sara and Victor enter. She helps him over to a seat.

Sara enters dragging a chair behind her. She places it across from Peter and sits with her legs crossed. She pulls a cigarette from behind her ear and a lighter from her pocket. She lights it and stares at him, puffing slowly. After a few drags she stands and walks over to him. She pulls the gag out of his mouth and burns his cheek with the butt of her cigarette in the process. Peter grimaces but holds back the pain.

She returns to the chair and sits.

SARAWe found your girls, took all night but they were camped out in the woods. Looked like scared little deer.

Peter hangs his head and slowly starts laughing. Sara perks up in her chair.

It is a beautifully decorated apartment, with art covering the walls. They enter the living room where things are obviously messed up. The couch is tipped over, broken antiques are on the ground. The room has been torn through.

Sydney carefully goes through, making sure to avoid the glass on the ground. There is a spot of blood that she bends down to inspect.

IZZYWhat happened here. It looks like a tornado blew through.

ELLAI'm not sure but I don't like it, maybe we should get out of here before something bad happens.

The two girls go towards the exit but Sydney continues to inspect the damage in the room.

She places a hand on Sydney shoulder. Suddenly images of Miss Liu in her apartment superimpose on Sydneys wide eyed face. She is seen hiding a laptop behind one of the paintings before her apartment in invaded by two men in suits. She fights with them before being knocked out and taken captive.

Sydney rushes over to the painting and removes it revealing the hole with the laptop.

IZZYHow did you know...

SYDNEYI saw it, when Ella touched my shoulder, I saw what happened here, they took Miss Liu, but she hid this before they came in.

According to their research if they find us they can use our DNA to perfect all of the kids and turn them into an army of advanced soldiers.

Elle points to a little boy on the screen who is staring at the door motionless.

Ella walks over to a chair still sitting up right and sits down. Izzy looks between the two with a look of disbelief.

The three girls are now gathered around the laptop. Tears stream from their faces as they watch Peter struggle. Sydney suddenly shuts the laptop.

SYDNEYI can't watch it anymore.

IZZYWe have to see if they kill him.

ELLAThey won't... at least not yet, they need information.

IZZYThat sure as hell looked like they were trying to kill him.

SYDNEYIt was small scale brain aneurysm, very painful but probably controlled enough to survive.

SYDNEYOr we were just never taught to, hypothetically speaking we should be able to do anything these kids can do and probably better, but they are forced to use their powers while we have been forced to hide them.

They start climbing the ladder. Ella pauses at the top, hearing nothing she starts to open it. Using all of her weight she pushes but it won't move.

Suddenly the top pops right off as if it weighed nothing. Ella looks down at Sydney in shock. Sydney laughs.

INT. MONITOR ROOM - DAY.

Sara and Victor sit looking at the monitors. Peter's head hangs down, blood crusted in a pool on his shirt.

SARAI don't think he will ever talk.

VICTOREveryone has a trigger, we just have to find it.

A SECURITY GUARD rushes into the room. He stops quickly and straightens up putting his hands behind his back.

SECURITY GUARDPardon the interruption Sir, but we have an urgent situation regarding the fugitives.

INT. OPERATIONS ROOM - DAY

Sara and the security guard enter an operations room filled with monitors and workers. Izzy's livestream is playing on every monitor in the room. Sara quickly looks down and covers her ears.

SARASomeone turn the sound off.

The guard switches the sound off. She looks back up.

SARATurn on translation so we still know what she is saying. How did the breech our systems.

SECURITY GUARDMa'am it's not just our systems they broadcasted this everywhere, the whole nation is seeing this right now.

INT. INTERROGATION ROOM - DAY

Peter's head still hangs low, his eyes are closed. The door opens slowly and Victor shuffles in using his cane. He takes a seat in the chair left by Sara.

Peter sighs and slowly raises his head. His face is covered in blood and his eyes are drained.

Victor laughs and leans back into his chair putting his cane out in front of him.

Ella pulls Sydney out of the man hole and they replace its covering.

SYDNEYNo there is an emergency light system connected to the generator. We will still have to do some manual overrides to get the kids out but it will make it a lot easier.

ELLAWon't they know we're here.

SYDNEYAt this point they are probably to preoccupied with the livestream.

Sydney walks over to the generator and pulls out a small phillips head screwdriver. She starts to tinker with the generators control panel.

ELLAYou're sure they won't be able to shut it down?

Sydney rolls her eyes.

SYDNEYYou two really underestimate me, I got the livestream set up to play all over the country and you think I can't lock out a few beef heads whose Iq is 1/10th the size of mine. Please, piece of cake.

Sydney looks back at Ella and smiles, the lights shut off. Moments later the emergency lights flick on, a low blue color.

Sara stand outside the house surrounded by officers in full body suits armed with tranquilizer guns.

Sara looks down at her phone where the livestream still plays on from inside the home. The men bust through the doors and rush inside. Moments later the security guard comes out

SECURITY GUARDMa'am the apartments empty, they aren't here. This was all we found.

She looks down at her phone where the scene switches from Izzy in the house to video of guards raiding the building looking for her. It then switches to images of the kids locked up as well as classified documents regarding the governments program turning genetically modified kids into weapons.

SARAClever girls, they lured us right in.

Sara steps into an SUV and slams the door shut before it speeds off.

INT. HEADQUARTERS HALLWAY - DAY

Ella peers around a corner, down an empty hallway. She slowly emerges walking down the hallway, Sydney follows close behind.

ELLA (V.O.)Which way

SYDNEY (V.O)Next right, there should be a staircase.

A SECURITY AGENT comes around the corner. The girls freeze.

He begins to pull out his walkie talkie but Ella raises her hand towards him.

He is unable to move. Images of his childhood dance around his head. He blinks repeatedly and his whole body begins to shake. He passes out and falls to the ground. Sydney shuffles past his body and picks up the dropped walkie talkie.

SYDNEY (V.O)That was to close for comfort, lets hurry.

IZZY (V.O)Hey guys, they are headed back your way, you have max like 20 minutes. Get out of there.

The girls rush around the corner to the staircase.

INT. STAIRCASE - DAY

The girls begin up the stairs. SECURITY AGENT 2 and SECURITY AGENT 3 are headed down the stairs.

SECURITY AGENT 2I just think if we work overtime we should be paid extra. I don't get why its such a big deal, the old man is giving millions to this project, the least they could do is pay us some more.

SECURITY AGENT 3Look at the shit show going on around here, the fucking lights are malfunctioning, you really think they are gonna give you more money?

The girls crouch under the flight of stairs. Sydney pulls a big rubber band and a marble from her pocket. Ella raises her brow.

The girls rush pass the knocked out men up the stairs.

EXT. HEADQUARTERS -DAY

Victor stands by the buildings front door holding his cane in his hand. The butler shades him from the sun with an umbrella. SUV pulls up and Sara gets out.

SARAIt was a set up, they weren't there, why are you outside?

VICTORThe circuits tripped... You don't think they would...

A smile creeps onto his face and he chuckles.

SARASir if the're inside...

VICTORIf the're inside you can stop them.

He turns to her completely serious.

INT. LOCKUP HALLWAY - DAY

Ella and Sydney emerge from the stair well into a wide hallway. On either side transparent glass cells contained 35 children, between the ages of 5 and 10. Twelve, the boy from Ellas dream, is standing alone in a cell.

Ella rushes towards him. He squeezes his eyes shut and Ella falls forward as she moves towards his cell.

SYDNEYElla!

Sydney rushes to pick Ella up. She is knocked out. Sydney look around. All of the children have come to their glass to watch. The door at the other end of the hall is heard opening. Sydney drags Ella under a security desk by the door. SECURITY AGENT 4 walks down the corridor. He looks suspiciously at the kids.

SECURITY AGENT 4Youse all look like your waiting for something to happen. It's just a little circuit problem, don't go getting any ideas.

Some of the kids move farther away from the glass. They hide in corners, some of the older ones lay down on their beds. The agent notices Twelve standing with his eyes squeezed shut. The agent taps on the glass.

SECURITY AGENT 4Hey kid, what's going on, open ya eyes.

INT. ELLA'S MIND - DAY

Ella's body shoots up disoriented. Everything is dark around her. She looks out and sees twelve in front of her.

ELLAHey kid, what are we doing back in here?

She steps towards him.

ELLA (V.O)You can hear me can't you, we are the same.

TWELVE (V.O)You're special to them, they want you.

ELLA (V.O)I know buddy but I can help you get out of here, me and my sisters can help all of you.

Twelve looks up at her and nods.

INT. LOCKUP HALLWAY - DAY

The Agent still stands outside of Twelves cell. The guard goes to the door and swipes his access code to unlock it.

SECURITY AGENT 4Come on kid, whats the hang up.

He enters Twelves cell. Sydney continues to hold Ella under the desk out of sight. Ella's eyes shoot awake, Sydney puts a hand over her mouth instantly.

SYDNEY (V.O)There's a guard.

Ella peers around her corner. The Agent leans down to Twelve. Twelve opens his eyes and screams. It sends the Agent flying backwards, he shatters the glass walls. Ella rushes out from under the desk.

ELLARight on little dude, little more than I bargained for.

The Agent blunders around trying to get up. Ella rushes over and grabs his arm. She puts one hand on his head. He passes out. Twleve runs over to Ella and she scoops him up in a hug. The little boy closes his eyes soaking it in.

Sydney grabs the Agents swipe code and starts unlocking doors for the eager children who begin to huddle around Ella.

SYDNEYWe are gonna have to move fast, there is no way they didn't hear that.

SARAOh they heard it.

The girls and kids whip around and see Sara standing leaned against the door. The kids run to the other wall cowering. Ella and Sydney face her unimpressed.

SYDNEYWe just want to take the kids and leave, they shouldn't be here

SARAMy children, you want to take MY children. I don't think so.

ELLAWe don't want to hurt you.

Ella meets her eye contact.

ELLABut you gave me no choice.

A few moments pass and Sara begins to laugh. Ella shifts her head over to Sydney who has her eyes wide open.

SARAYou really think I would be so brazen as to challenge an army without a weapon myself. I'm not a man.

Sara casts her hand forward and Ella's legs are thrown from underneath her. She is being dragged invisibly by her ankle. She slides towards Sara through stray glass shards cutting the sides of her body. She manages to grab one a shard of glass before stopping at the feet of Sara. Ella stabs Sara's calf. Sara jolts and grabs her leg. Ella scrambles back a few feet before Sara raises her hand as if holding Ella by the back of the neck, Ella is restrained as she tries to crawl back to her sister. Sydney panicked throws her screwdriver at Sara's face. She catches it mid air with her

other hand right before it hits her face. She then sends it flying back towards Sydney who ducks. It flies towards the children but lands above them stuck in the wall. The door beside the children flies open and Izzy stands in the doorway with a phone strapped to her chest with ducktape.

IZZYSmile you're on camera!

Izzy throws her arm up and levitates the glass shards on the floor, she kicks and they fly towards Sara. She lets go of her hand on Ella to block the glass. Ella scrambles over to Sydney. Sara pushes her hands outward and the glass flies back. Ella and Sydney brace themselves but the glass hovers in the air before them and drops. Izzy rushes over to her sisters.

ELLA (V.O)Decent timing, although a few seconds earlier would have been nice.

IZZY (V.O)I had to talk myself into the sewer, it ate up some time.

Sara straightens up still unable to put pressure on her leg streaming blood. She throws up her hand but nothing happens. The three girls hold hands and walk towards her.

IZZYYou can't beat all three of us.

ELLAWhat kind of person treats kids like this.

Sydney and Izzy take there free hands and raise them to Sara's head. Her eyes role back and there is flashback superimposed. In it Victor injects Sarah with a needle. Her body begins to seize. A later memory shows her ... NEED TO FLESH OUT SARA BACKSTORY!!!! Sara falls to the floor. The children rush forward to see her lying there.

ELLA (V.O)I feel bad for her.

The girls take a big deep breathe and start out the door with the kids in tow. Izzy stays back and takes up the rear.

INT. HALLWAY - DAY

Ella pokes her head out of the stairwell door. Deciding its safe she runs towards the exit followed by the children. The turn right down another hallway. Izzy comes out last and heads down a different hallway.

IZZY (V.O)You must have the wrong cell, Peter isn't here.

SYDNEY (V.O)I know it's right, they must have moved him.

Sydney and Izzy share a look before running and turning down the hall where Ella and the kids went.

INT. HEADQUARTERS ENTRANCE - DAY

Ella and the kids are all huddled underneath a big welcome desk, the building has been evacuated. Izzy and Sydney run into the room and slide under the desk with them.

IZZYWhy are we hiding under here there is no one around.

ELLALook outside.

Izzy slowly peers above the desk. Outside Victor stands with a cane and a bullhorn. He is surrounded by agents holding guns on the building. Two are holding a beat up Peter on his knees.

SYDNEY (V.O)So what's the game plan.

IZZY (V.O)I was gonna ask you that.

ELLA (V.O)I say we leave the kids here and take out the fucking army outside.

IZZY (V.O)I know we have done some impressive things today but you really think we can take on all of them?

ELLA (V.O)Yeah I really do think we can.

The girls all look at each other and smile. They pull each other into a group hug, the kids huddle in as well. Izzy pulls the phone strapped to her chest off and hands it to one of the little girls.

The little girl nods.

EXT. HEADQUARTERS -DAY

Ella, Izzy, and Sydney leave the building with their hands up, slowly shifting through the glass doors. They stop right out side of the building. Peter looks up with fear on his face.

VICTOR(Over bullhorn)

Good choice girls, no one needs to get hurt. Surrender yourselves now.

The girls continue walking forward with their hands up. When they are standing in between the building and the army they grab hands in the air.

VICTORSTOP THEM NOW!

The soldiers begin to shoot, bullets fly at them in mass quantities. All three girls close their eyes and push forward. A forcefield surrounds them and drops every bullet. They continue moving forward towards Victor. Ella is in the middle and opens her eyes now glowing white. She steps forward and puts her hand out. Victor's cane is swept from under him and he is dragged towards them. Suddenly a bullet is shot from the side that breaks the forcefield and hits Ella in the leg. She drops down and her eyes return to normal.

ELLA (V.O)Keep holding them back.

Sydney and Izzy stand still maintaining the forcefield with their eyes closed. The little girl Izzy gave the phone to runs out of the building towards the girls.

ELLAKid, get back inside.

Blood now gushes from Ella's leg, the little girl runs and places her hands on Ella's leg. The bleeding stops and the bullet hole disappears.

ELLAWow.

Ella stands up and puts the little girl behind her. She grabs the hands of her sisters again her eyes return to white. The agents put there weapons down and retreat. The two holding Peter leave him and run back. Victor is stuck in the middle helpless. The three girls approach him as the children begin to spill from the building. A large number of onlookers have now gathered around and watch from windows. As the girls approach Victor they slowly let down their hands and their shield. They stand before him looking down. Izzy and Sydney open there eyes, also glowing white.

IZZYYou stand accused of child endangerment, unlawful experimentation, and crimes against humanity.

Ella bends down and looks him directly in the eye.

ELLAHow do you plead?

Victor tries to hold back his words almost chocking on them.

VICTORG--G--Guilty.

SYDNEYNow the whole country knows your crimes.

Sydney offers her hand to the little girl who gives her the phone. She turns it to Victor to reveal a livestream with 328 million viewers watching.
