Our complete collection of huset designs are inspired by little houses all over

the world that people live in and love. Each house with its own story just

waiting for a little designer, like you, to make your own.

Alyson Beaton is creator of lille huset and has always found

inspiration in the world around her. It wasn’t until architecture

school that she found her true love in the field of design. She

found herself carefully crafting tiny buildings and imagining

a world that could exist. It wasn’t until after college, when she

had an opportunity to travel abroad, that she fell in love with

cities. She traveled around Europe watching, sketching and

experiencing how magical you can feel when your backdrop

is centuries old. One day on a quest to see one of the most

famous buildings designed by one of the most famous archi-

tects, tucked away in what seemed the most beautiful French

countryside on earth, it dawned on her that this quest was

in vain. She realized at that moment that the most beautiful

architecture, in her mind, are the places where real people love

to live, and call home, each with his and her own story.

This is truly the inspiration behind the company and why she loves to make little houses for little kids based on the magical and beautiful real world.

Lille huset is inspired by a little house in Logan

Square, a little neighborhood in a big city. This

little house has lived in the city for a long time,

over 100 years. The family that built lille huset

was a Norwegian family who came to this

neighborhood to start a new life.

Today a modern family lives in this house and

loves it very much. They are taking time to

make it a new modern home so it can live for

100 more years.

Our very first lille huset, prototype created in 2011

LE MARIAS is a little French house

that is also home to the most

perfect flower shop. The owner

of the shop takes such care to

arrange her flower displays every

day, making it impossible not

to buy some. Marias, is painted

with a perfect pink diamond

pattern that makes her the most

fashionable building in Paris.

DE PIJP is a little Dutch house

and cafe that is nestled in a

neighborhood in Amsterdam.

This little house has the most

special rounded top to his roof,

and has been here for hundreds

of years. The people who built

him made him of the finest

stone. He is very special because

each and every person that has

entered his doors has drawn a

little bit of art right on the walls

making him a living gallery.

People say that it is his beauty

that inspires their creativity.

DORO is the most classic home

that is nestled between a very

tall building on one side and a

house that looks just like her on

the other. Each room inside is

perfectly decorated with lots of

special touches. The best room

in the house is the little room

upstairs where you feel like you

are as tall as the trees when

you look out the window.

Logan is the house that is so

big and perfect that all of the

other houses think of him as a

castle. He is a house that sits

on the grand boulevard with

high peaks that seem to reach

to the sky. The owners of this

house keep the house in perfect

condition no matter the season.

All year round they keep twinkle

lights on the one little tree that

sits in the middle of the perfect

lawn. Each and every night

when they turn on he seems

even more magical.

BROOKLYN is in fact a little shop

that sits on the corner of a very

pretty tree lined street. It is the

perfect little building that is also

a house. The owners live upstairs

and every day when it is time to

open the shop they sweep the

front steps, put out a little sign

with the sales of the day and get

ready to greet their customers.

PRIMROSE is the cutest little

prim and proper house that

has arched windows in front.

Sometimes when it rains the

water droplets make a pitter

patter sound as they drop on the

roof. All of her rooms inside have

a special little hidden quirk that

makes her less than perfect in a

very silly way.

LILLE PEGGIES are little wooden

people that fit perfectly in the hand.

They live in little houses all over the

world. THEY are girls and boys who

love to go on adventures in the towns

where they live. They are kids who

draw, play , and imagine a world that

is fun all the time because in their

world there are no rules.

Our extra small houses come individually or in

play sets. These houses represent architecture from

all over the world and come with accessory sheets

for decorating the houses.

5 interchangeable houses so your little designer can

start imagining his or her ideal city!

Do you make doll house furniture? No we do not make any furniture

rather we promote making it yourself to our customers. All of our houses

come with “idea books” and we host an online blog where we put more

ideas all the time, www.lillehusetideas.com. We also feature kids and

their houses!

Are the houses hard to put together? All houses come flat and are very

easy to assemble. All of our packaging can also be used to store the

houses in after purchase and fit neatly on a book shelf.

What if my customer looses a piece? We are happy to send replace-

ment pieces for any houses upon request.

How do I merchandise the line? Put it with crafts and with play sets. Our

houses are really both, they are all about hands on play & making. We

recommend buying our displays at cost so your customers can really

see how cute they are put together.

Have your products been CPSC tested? Yes we test our products peri-

odically to ensure they meet all standards for heavy metals and phlates.

We can provide our certificate upon request.

Where are the products made in the USA? Our products are mostly

produced in Chicago, IL but we partner with manufacturers in

the midwest and eastern United States.

How to you pronounce “lille huset”? Lille Huset is actually norwegian for

lille house and is pronounced “lilla hoosa”. The line originated in Chicago

and the name was derived from the owner’s Norwegian heritage and

ancestors home dating back to 1910 in the Logan Square neighborhood

of Chicago.
